Gangnam Tofu House

Originally from LA and whenever I’m in the mood for Korean food Gangnam Tofu is the spot! Tried other Korean restaurants in the Fremont/Newark area and none of them compare to the flavor and quality Gangnam Tofu provides. Delicious tofu soup, meats, and banchan!

Food tasted like frozen section of KP market that was heated up. Service was not good. They didnt refill our empty bottle of water used to refill our own water cups. Water cups smelled gross before we even poured the water in it. They didnt refill our kimchi. Basic service for a Korean place with barely any ppl in it was lacking. I give 2 stars because they had a smile on their face but no sense for how service in a Korean restaurant should be. Kimchi dumplings did not taste like kimchi or had any cabbage in it at all. And we mentioned it to them but nothing was done about it. Spam kimbap was just raw spam cut up and put in it. Atleast grill the spam first. Pork belly was flavorless. Menu says there was suppose to be lettuce too wrap the kbbq with but it never came out. Cabbage was just steamed and unseasoned. Not even a little salt. Pork Belly tasted like it was boiled and then pan fried. Not very flavorful and soft. The Korean Noodle Soup was kind of salty and spicy but not much as far as flavor. There was a little flavor but not much. The noodles absorbed into the broth so easily and made the broth thick even though the soup was still really hot. We didnt like the thick broth. The Jobs Tears drink tastes like the little packets you get in a box from KP market. Just mixed with water. Nothing special about it but it wasnt bad.

Aria Korean Street Food (Inside T4)
36400 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536, United States
Ordered some wings (garlic soy) and plain with a couple of hot sauces, bulgogi fries, and the gangjung. I enjoyed most of the choices but found that the unsauced wings with dipping sauces were better than the others which were a bit too sweet. Chicken was nice and crunchy while not being too dry. The gangjung was solid. The bulgogi fries were straight fire though damn. We ordered eggs with our fries because eggs, and while they added to the fries, we wish they were runny eggs rather than fried to hard yolks, it definitely would be better as such.
Soo Ja Fusion Bistro
6038 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
This is the cursed spot of Fremont/Newark. Ive been to every single food business that tried to make it work. I sincerely hope this place lasts more than a year.Came here on a Tuesday afternoon, ordered a bulgogi meal along with Sapporo. The meal came as a dome of rice, bulgogi, and a small salad with dressing. Salad was fine, crisp lettuce, light dressing, and for some reason, 3 blueberries. Bulgogi was pleasant, not at all overly marinated and excessively sweet. It had a good balance of sweet and savory flavor. One small criticism is that the Sapporo is $8, which is on the high side of beer. Korean restaurants are usually slightly more expensive than typical Asian sit-downs, the food quality and service can make up for it. I just didnt expect this to also reflect on the beer. I imagine this to be because did the Sapporo was even $2 cheaper, patrons are more likely to order Japanese beer over the Korean soju, but thats just speculations.Overall, Im coming back. The food was good, severs were attentive, and they open late.
Moms Tofu House

This place is really good if youre craving Korean food. Because I rarely go to a Korean restaurant, I cant really speak for its authenticity or anything like that. But what I CAN speak for is this:- I loved the flavors of everything Ive ever ordered at Moms Tofu, authentic or not. They always satisfy my cravings for Korean food and thats all I need! I am happy ^____^- The service here is really good. Ive had two different waiters during my two visits and they were both super friendly and happily answered any questions I had. They also scream THANK YOU when you leave which makes you feel appreciated as a customer. YOURE WELCOME (: (:- The food was served really fast, although we went around when they opened and there werent that many others in the restaurant yet.- My stone pot today was hot and delicious. The spicy pork was a perfect mix of spiciness and sweetness. I really wish they gave me more of it though. For $13 a pot, the meat and everything else in the pot ratio was so off! After I stirred everything together, the meat was nowhere to be found. They have to still be in the pot, right???- The tofu soup that my boyfriend ordered was really good too. He said it was too spicy this time but I didnt think so. He just cant handle it when things get too hot, harhar ;) If we traded our dishes, I would have been equally as happy with my dining experience! While Im sure there are better Korean places around, this place never lets me down. (:

They charge you for things that you didnt ask for?? The restaurant is asian, but it feels like were back in Asia and scamming us again. And its not even that much like asia, 1. Its not spicy 2. Its not even Japanese anymore 3. Just the Korean is all gone now, its just AMERICAN RESTAURANT! Hopefully they provide better service and STOP THE SCAMMING!!!
