Flame Broiler
22972 Moulton Pkwy #103, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, United States
These are new owners at this flame broiler so dont pay attention to very old reviews. This place is great!! The husband Cooks in the back while the wife is at the register. Theyre very nice hard working people and the food is immaculate. The chicken is savory and sauced very well and the vegetables taste fresh!! I already left them a 5 star review on their Yelp as well!! This Is the BEST flame broiler Ive ever had hands down!!!

Back in 2018 I was thinking it would be super cool if there was a bar that was geared towards gamers, a place they could hang out and drink beer and have a good time; when I found this place in early 2021 it was like a dream come true, as it is exactly that. Since then, they expanded the DLC area and have expanded their menu and have a few new beers. I really enjoy live music night. I am one if the regular here, this is where my buddies and I come every Saturday night to hang out. We drink beer and play Yu-Gi-Oh, board games, and Magic the Gathering. The staff are great and super nice, I know most of the people who work here, food is great, love the big selection of beers, and I always enjoy being here.I have a 3 suggestions that could make this place even better, Im talking coolness factor of 101. They should do trials for new beers and menu items to see if people like them, and if there is enough sales, then they add the beer or menu item permanently to the menu. I think you guys should bring back the giant pretzel from Oktoberfest, that was a fan favorite. Also, I think it will be really cool if you guys added chimichangas to the menu.2. I think on Fridays and Saturdays if you could change the business hours to be open until midnight those days, like Dave & Busters, that you guys would get more business. Also I think you guys would get more business if you kept the weekday hours open until 10:00.3. I think you guys could get more business if you had a designated night every week, like say Thursdays as D&D night, or Friday night Magic the Gathering.
Maki-Yaki Express
24401 Ridge Rte Dr # A102, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, United States
Go to Maki-yaki Express if you are feeling like sushi and dont want the fancy restaurant...saying that reminds me of Carls Jrs pitch about their six dollar burgers without the restaurant cost. This place is not fancy its a small restaurant in Laguna Hills near Seven-Eleven.When you first walk in, you will be greeted by a very friendly Korean lady. There are a lot pictures of all the various types of rolls so you dont need to know what the roll is called just know what it looks like. I ordered the udon combo with tempura shrimp and crunch roll for about 7 dollars. My friend ordered the Spicy Tuna roll. After adding a drink this was about 18 dollars not bad for 2 people. (half the price of Niko Niko. Dont get me started on that place -1 star) If you order in you will eat on actually Japanese bowls and plates. If you order out you will get everything packed in separate packages, which is nice since every order comes with a small salad and miso soup.If you are looking for the highest quality sushi this is not the place, but if you are looking for above average sushi minus the wait and cost go to MAKI-YAKI! Highly Recommend. Great for take out!

Good things come to those who wait! It took about 45 minutes to get a table during the Saturday morning rush. It was busy the whole time. What does that tell you? They are doing something right.Despite the crowd, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was hearty and tasty. They did a good job keeping our iced tea glasses full, bringing napkins, and other stuff we requested. The food came out in a reasonable time, even though the kitchen was absolutely slammed with orders. The two cooks were doing an amazing job - Im still not sure how they were getting it all done so efficiently. The food itself was fresh and hot, classic home cooked style. I ordered the garden omelette, and added ham. It was incredibly tasty and stuffed full of all the ingredients. The hollandaise sauce on top was an awesome touch. Note they serve breakfast all day which is great for those of us who love to sleep in on the weekends! The rest of the classic diner menu options looked good as well. Our kids also ate every scrap of their meals, which is the ultimate test. If the kids like it, you know its a good restaurant!By the time we were finished, I had a new appreciation for why it was so crowded. This place serves great breakfast comfort food. We will definitely be back.
Teddys Deli
23011 Moulton Pkwy G-2, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, United States
I went twice in a week because of the great coupons that was left on my car. :)The first time, had the Mocha Latte + Tri-Tip Sandwich. Yum! The coffee was chocolate-y and the way I like it. Sweet and not too strong. The trip-tip sandwich even came with a small side of pasta and almost had a bacon crisp to it at the edges. Very, very tasty! The second time I had the Tucson Chicken Melt combo which came with chips and a drink. It was good but I preferred the Tri-tip.A definite bonus when they have an open pickle/chile bar since I love pickles.Great little joint thats nearby and well come again!Again, its on the corner of building G and youll see some banners/flags in front.-----------------This place got a lot more popular, but the food quality is still great!New favorite - The Ultimate Teddy Slice : Turkey, Roast Beef, Avocado + veggies. The cheddar that they put underneath the bun and grilled to a perfect crisp is amazing! It almost tastes like a cheese crisp from Trader Joes.Hearty portions for a decent price. Will continue to come back :DI would recommend calling in your order though as it gets pretty busy. And they ALWAYS seem to run out of the Tomato Basil soup!
Hai Master Kitchen
24401 Ridge Rte Dr # B102, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, United States
The food here is excellent. It is an authentic Chinese restaurant located in south O.C. which is rare. As with most authentic joints, dont come in expecting great service and atmosphere though.Dont judge their food by the fast food that is prepared and selectable at the counter for carryout. That is your typical panda express style food. The real gems are on the menu.We ordered quite a bit of food and it was all delicious. The ja jang myeun was a wonderful take on the Korean black spaghetti. It was meaty and flavorful in a Chinese way instead of the Korean black sauce. The beef noodle soup was also very flavorful and the noodles were cooked just right. All the dumplings here are excellent but the best are the Shanghai dumplings. No need to go all the way to Din Tai Fung now. The key to beating the dumplings is to make sure not to let it break open and the juices escape. Handle them delicately, dip into he vinegar and get a piece of ginger and eat it whole!Pro tip: you can purchase bags of frozen boiled dumplings to take home. Boil them until they float and then pour in a cup of cold water so there dumplings sink and wait for the water to boil and dumplings to float. Do this three times and the dumplings are ready to serve.

The Hills Hotel
25205 La Paz Rd, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, United States
Not sure Id stay here again... PROS: Close to I-5 so easy on & off, Starbucks across the street; probably a nice hot breakfast at the hotel (but too pricey for us at $16pp), decent TV (though smaller than the website had said), & VERY comfy beds! New carpet throughout. Clean. No bugs...CONS: Beds were Double-sized, NOT Queen, so you might want to call & confirm if you need to share a Queen! You hear EVERYTHING going down in the hall - and no wonder when you turn your lights out & see the hall light glaring at you from the 1/2-inch gap under your door & around the rim of it! (Isnt that a smoke/fire hazard??) Bathroom remodel is cute, but not so cute when you desperately need towel racks and there ARE none! Nor when the roll of toilet paper falls into & out of your hands & across the floor cause there was nothing to hold it in place! The 5 freeway was right outside our huge windows, so thats all we heard, save for when the A/C would kick on again. The fridge was not cold, nor were our water bottles (stored in it) by morning. There were NO written instructions on how to USE the thermostat in the room! NONE in the entire notebook about the hotel (including their Rooms section), none anywhere, and we sorely needed some! Lastly, we did not use the pool, but sadly noted how incredibly SMALL it is! You wouldnt be able to do laps, & if there are more than 4 people swimming, its going to feel crowded! Lastly, some other guests had really trashed the place in the hallway just beyond the elevator - fast food wrappings & boxes, cups of half-empty drinks, even some BIG chunks of half-eaten cheeseburger! Eew!! So VERY disappointing to have to step over all this the FIRST time, but even over 40 minutes later, after carefully checking out our room, going all the way back to the car for luggage, & coming all the way (a Wedding Party meant we had to park in the nosebleeds) back to our room, we had to carefully avoid the trashy peoples gross mess all over again!
