ONON - Fresh Korean Kitchen
13019 Rosecrans Ave # 101, Norwalk, CA 90650, United States
I came in to the area because I needed a phone repair from someone in the area. I had asked a friend which place was cool to dine at for lunch, and he recommended this place to me along with a link to their site. \Originally, i thought it was like a Mongolian barbecue place because of how the menu was set up. I also thought it was like a Poke Bar place, but it thought, what the hell, i want to explore something i havent seen or tried, so 6 minute drive later, and easy parking - here I am, enjoying this super delicious bowl ive put together before my very eyes.I had mine with the Buckwheat Noodle base - Delicious. Also had it with the Peanut sauce. ITS DELICIOUS. im coming back to try the Nori sauce next. I was able to sample it as i was there - it was really good, and it deserved a spot in my belly, but i was in a peanut mood this day, so peanut gets it.Youre able to get the sauces either on the bowl or in the side. As for to-go, you can also ask for another pack of sauce before you leave. Take-out is very easy - just ask for a lid for your bowl, and youre good to go.Nice chill place. Youre in and then youre out - very quick, simple, and also very yummy. I recommend it!

Surawon Korean BBQ
16448 Norwalk Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703, United States
After hh-ing at EMC, and going to the Bobtory plaza that was unexpectedly closed, my crew and I made it to Surawon. LOVE THAT THERES FREE PARKING! I didnt recognize this as a korean restaurant because the decor was that of a Mexican restaurant. This is a great group restaurant, as there are many dishes that are meant to be shared with 2-3 people. Their banchan was soo goood and Im such a banchan fan that this is +2 stars for me. Many of the dishes here are soup based- spicy and not spicy. It is a very mom and pop feel, and I recommend you trying the Gamchatang- pork neck and potato stew. The meat is fall off the bone tender. It comes with rice to mix the stew in. And at the end, you slurp down the stew which warms your stomach :)My only regret is not properly securing it in my car as my to-go portion spilled all over my car after falling down T_T

Chung Dam Tofu
18921 Norwalk Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
Updated on 4/12/21Stopped by last minute for a quick bite and they did not disappoint. Place wasn’t very busy around 8:30pm on a Friday night, so outside was already cleaned up and only had tables set inside. I told them we had a dog with us and preferred to sit outside instead of leave our dog inside the car and they quickly set us up outside even though they had to bring out the chairs again with all the place settings. Needless to say, service was excellent from there on and food was on point as usual. Kalbi ribs, bulgogi, tofu soup and cold noodles were all fantastic.———-They are open for dine in! I wish I lived closer as they are quickly becoming a favorite Korean dining spot for me. They didn’t have the chayote squash I loved before, but the cucumber kimchi was the best I’ve ever had. The night was pretty chilly but I promised myself that I would try their cold noodle (neng myun) special, which is BOGO. The picture shows one traditional cold noodle and the other being spicy noodle (no broth) but found out you have to order two of the same type, so we went with the traditional which is my favorite. It didn’t disappoint, but I did learn that the 2nd/free one doesn’t come with meat or egg, so not best for sharing. Really good if you’re hungry and want extra noodles, broth and veggies. Will revisit for next warm afternoon. Also ordered the kalbi ribs and tofu soup combo. Pricy at almost $30, but some of the best tofu soup I’ve had. Tofu soup seems tp be pretty standard for every neighborhood these days and most are pretty good, but when you have a chance to try a premium version like the one here, you appreciate the extra care and layers of flavor, not to mention having protein in every bite vs searching for it and wondering if there was any. The kalbi is good, but have to admit it’s not the best but right up there with some of the best and not as greasy or fatty as some others. All in all, a great experience including service which is spotty at many Korean restaurants due to language, but they do try very hard and is more than above avg our drinks were refilled, banchan refilled and they checked on us frequently even though we were outside and the only ones dining in. It’s too bad the seating is limited outside since the set up is so nice, but hoping they can keep the business running until we can eat inside again.

Huh Daegam Dolsot Sulungtang
16511 Pioneer Blvd #104, Norwalk, CA 90650, United States
It was very first time visited this place on Jan/1/2022So horrible tasted on Gamja Tang, seafood hot noodle and seafood pan cake. The owner was cooked on all my orders and he doesnt know what those tasted should be. I was canceled the seafood pan cake. Then he just brought it put on my table said that I have to pay since I ordered it, otherwise he going to call the police. What a moran! The waitress doesnt know what is the right source for seafood hot noodle so she brought to us the red chillies pepper paste, this source for Sulrong tang soup.So disappointed as myself korean that this kind of restaurant running food business in the name if korean authentic restaurant. All this restaurants main problems are the owner himself. He just proud himself on been running g his business over20 years and price not that high.He doesnt know how make korean foodCan every body like. This restaurants big issues are there is no tasted after all.My Gamjatang, he just put very small size of two pieces of potatoes.Do not deceived by his menus prices ard lower than other restaurant because he doesnt give you enough portion and tasted. He put too much MSG on kimchi and Kkakooghi.Dont ever go there for even first try out.Im the one stopped by today and had big fight with the owner and he ruined my new years day today

Jang Dok Dae Restaurant
16440 Norwalk Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703, United States
This place is an old school Korean restaurant but the food is excellent. As someone who recently moved from Koreatown LA to a gateway city, I had to find my go to Korean restaurant and I think this is one of my favorite places. We like to get the Uhndaegoo jorim (braised black cod). Some of our other favorites are the dahk gae jang, as well as the bohtsahm. The atmosphere is very modest and simple, but this is the kind of place that suits me.I highly recommend this place both for Korean traditionalists as well as non-Koreans who just want some really good quality Korean food.

Red House Korean BBQ
15925 Pioneer Blvd, Norwalk, CA 90650, United States
A good place for $20 KBBQ. There’s a mandatory gratuity added to your bill just as an FYI before you dine. The servers are friendly, attentive, and has fast service. The sides are pretty decent and the meat selection is standard meats you can find at a Korean Barbecue restaurant. My only complaint is that that the pork belly was frozen (has a bit of ice on it), and it took a while to thaw while grilling it. I dined here three times so far and that’s my only observation is that some of the meats (mostly the pork) are a bit frozen. Overall it’s an ok spot for Korean barbecue if you’re in the Norwalk area.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Norwalk/Cerritos. The sullung-tang and the soondae soup are delicious. The crab side dish keeps me coming back to Go Hyang Jib

I attempted to order online today at about 645pm and by 7pm I received a notice my online order was canceled due to the restaurant being out of chicken. I had already arrived at the location when I received the notice and shortly after received a phone call from the restaurant stating they did have chicken but it would take about 25-30mins to cook. I had already waited about 20 mins from the time I ordered to the time I arrived to the restaurant where the order could have been prepared. When I arrived to the front of the restaurant I saw two guys standing behind the register on their phones. Mind you the location doesnt close until 8pm so I didnt understand why there was no chicken prepared. I was told by the gentleman on the phone that they could still make my order but it would now take an extra 25-30 mins for my order two be ready. I respectfully told the person on the phone that I would not be going through with the order.I really enjoy coming here for the food but the customer service in the evening time is always poor. Its like the closer it gets to closing time the less work they want to do. Thats just my personal opinion. Hopefully this can be addressed. A si.ple phone call letting me know about the wait time when the order was placed wouldve been ideal.Maybe the online ordering should not be an option if the guys who work in the evening find it hard to make peoples orders.
