So it was last Friday and my delayed flight lands at SFO and it dawns on me at the SFO bus terminal oh no! I need water and food right now because timezone change means it is my time for my prescription med. I had never been to Millbrae town and knew I would buy whatever meal available first. So I see this Malaysian restaurant near the transportation stop and go in, not knowing what the food is like:I tried the fried chicken with rice..... and wow, it was sure gooood! I am so glad that I happened to visit here out of necessity after my flight, and ended up with a new tied-for-first of my favorite dish.

This garage was the worst part of my trip to Europe.FasTrak lanes have serious issues. We were able to enter the garage trough the FasTrak lane but when we tried to leave, the gate did not work. We tried to get assistance but nobody was around to help nor answered our calls. We tried nearly all exits but none of them worked. Other cars had the same issue. It took us nearly an hour to find somebody to let us out. They did not bother to apologize for our wasted time, instead they were very eager to collect the parking fee for time we were trapped.A few weeks ago the same thing happened to us. I thought it was a one time issue but it is definitely something more serious and ongoing.

We adore the front desk lady, Joyce. She was so friendly & accommodating, gave us a roomy, quiet & very clean room. She even recommended a good Malaysian restaurant, just a short walking distance. Yummy food! Love this charming boutique hotel & will definitely recommend!!
The Kitchen

Extremely bad service. We just experienced exactly what two recent bad reviews on their poor services encountered and they still did not learn from it.We came in at 11pm exhausted from 5 hours of driving.1. Service is as good as putting the plates on your table and leaving you there.2. You pour the tea yourselves. No change of plates. Not even bowls for soup vs noodles. U use the same bowl.3. The manager and waiter will only serve the tables that order expensive seafood. If you dont have any of those luxury items they give you a peasant class service.3. Service was very very slow. We waited a good half hour to be served first dish. They replied the chefs are very busy what4. The waiter would put the noodles on yoir table and walk away - leaving you to divide on your own.5. When you ask the female manager if there is chilli she will reply yes and forget to attend back to you, not to mention the eye contact.6. I gave a token tip the female manager had the audacity to demand the tips to be at least ten over dollars for doing nothing. Whilst I come from a country where tip is not expected and I know the routine tip here is 15% I am shocked the manager will demand it as if it is a complete entitlement after serving nothing to you.7. WORSE STILL her face turns black when I told her honestly the service is very bad and she tells you in Cantonese if you do not like this kind of service dont ever come back again. She went on to reply what to do if they say until like that they wont give more tips for sure. The point is you need to learn basic courtesy and basic service to be tipped well which we will be more than happy to give.Things dont drop from the sky although this country has alot of people hinging on welfare system. You need to earn them.We are overseas chinese visitors from southeast asia who are leaving the subsequent day. To receive some maltreatment is a shock and we are flabbergasted.Shame because food is not bad and is the only restaurant that closes at 1am but they cannot use it as their advantage to abuse their customers.Take this as a warning to other diners looking to dine in this place. Also for the Millbrae chinese community to consider boycotting such uncultured ungracious place that will leave a dirty ink on this community and downtown.
Thai Stick Restaurant
301 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030, United States
Guy in charge was very rude and called me back to threaten me that I can not order from them anymore. And it seems like other yelp reviews have had the same rude experience with a guy that works here. This will be the first negative review I've written on yelp. The award goes the the gentleman that called me about my canceled to go order. The story:I called in to make an order for pick up at 11 pm. The lady took my order with no problem and when I asked her what the total was I noticed it was higher then Eat24 price. I asked her if ordering from online was less. She said yes. So I mentioned to her “i will order it through eat24. Please cancel my order”. And she said ok and she hung up slightly disappointed. I get a call from her at 12 midnight telling me my order was ready. I told her “no I canceled it and I decided not to order it online”. She said ok. At 12:50am I get a call from a guy who seems like a manager or at least someone in charge. He asked me if I ordered food. I told him “I did, but I canceled it before we hung up the phone” and he goes off telling me I am band from the restaurant. As I tried to calm him down so I can explain to him what happen. then he was saying the person that took the order “is not from here” that she didn't understand. And he continued with letting me know I am not allowed to order from them again. I accepted it and told him “I cant believe you would treat customers like this”I called in to order because i thought the local business can possible keep more of the profit.I've been in Millbrae for over 20 years and I am a regular to this location. I can't believe the attitude he gave me for a miss understanding. I'm glad Thai Stick has lost a long term customer over $22.
