Original Thai Artesia
11861 Artesia Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
I will never eat at this place ever again.I ordered Pad se Ew here with mango and sticky rice from Doordash. They decided to substitute my mango with sticky rice for Thai custard with sticky rice (looks like yellow slop - see photos) without calling and notifying me. I called the restaurant to tell them they should call and tell their customers if they do not have an item in stock (mango) and to not substitute the item in case they dont want it. The lady said I couldnt find your contact number and I said it is done online and through Doordash which has instructions and numbers on there. She preceeded to say well you can call Doordash in the middle of me telling her that for future customers she should inform them of any changes to their orders not just change the order. Then she goes thanks for your business and hangs up!RUDE customer service! The food is not all that great and the way you treat your customers is unprofessional. I do not recommend anyone to do business here.

Everything was perfect! They showed up exactly on time and were extremely professional. They quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it and made adjustments to the entire system as necessary. They were quick, friendly and honest. They did not try to sell me any additional products or services which were not needed. I will definitely call them the next time I have issues with my garage door!

Lobster-Guys Redondo Beach
2217 Artesia Blvd, Redondo Beach, CA 90278, United States
Visiting from out of state and stopped by here on some local recommendations. Usually a cheapskate trying to find cheap mom and pop eats but wanted to check this new spot that recently opened as a mid workday treat.Service: Very quickly welcomed by a really friendly and helpful server/bartender. They just had a lunch rush finish up and they were quick to clean and turn the tables.Food: I got the Connecticut lobster roll and it was very good! The bread was perfectly crusty Texas toast style on the outside and soft on the inside. There was a good amount of lobster in the roll which I am always skeptical of when going to a seafood joint. Very well balanced so you could taste the lobster and appreciate the rest of the minimal accompanying ingredients. I am used to overuse of mayo in other rolls but they were intentional with the ratios here. Loved the fresh flavor of the side of arugula.Coconut shrimp was good as well, only so much to say about deep fried shrimp.Drink: I don't think they have a liquor license because their margaritas are made with an agave wine but I wanted to give it a try anyway. I normally am not a big fan of Agave but this drink was really tasty and would order it again!Vibe: This place is a busily decorated cross between a surf shack and sports bar man cave. It's a cool little spot. Super clean and well put together. People I saw popped in and out but I imagine this is a spot they would welcome you to hangout in to slowly enjoy a couple drinks. I quickly noticed the outlets under the bar seating which for a regular traveler and remote worker like me, this is awesome. I can get a couple emails done while easing into the end of the work day with a tasty roll and drinks. They have a happy hour Monday-Friday with selection of menus items and drinks. Items seem to be discounted around a $1-1.5 compared to the normal menu but if you are a regular here it would add up. Very nice that the happy hour also extends to the end of the night (8:30-close)Props to the owner, looking forward to coming back here on my regular visits to Los Angeles and the South Bay!Connecticut Roll, strawberry margarita, coconut shrimp

Oh Takoyaki, why are you so darn delicious?! Unfortunately, I dont know of many places in the OC that make great takoyaki, so I have to drive either to Gardena or to Little Tokyo to get my takoyaki fix. Its quite fortunate that this particular location is within Tokyo Central so I can do my usual grocery shopping and get my takoyaki cravings satisfied (RIP wallet, huhuhu). You honestly cant go wrong with any selection, but if its your first time, try the Original. I love cheese and anything creamy so I usually add in an order for the Cheese & Mentaiko. Its made fresh to order so you might want to rethink about putting the whole thing in your mouth, because its going to burn. They have clear displays so you can even film them making your order. Ive never had a horrible experience ordering from here and although it is a very popular spot, Ive never waited over 10 minutes for my order.
Josui Ramen
2212 Artesia Blvd ste b, Torrance, CA 90504, United States
This Ramen shop may take my top spot for my favorite Ramen in Torrance. Super clean broth, the noodles were cooked really well, and the chashu on top was some of the best Ive ever had. The karrage was pretty average, but if you want really good ramen, you should definitely stop by this spot!
Changan Kitchen

At first, I drove around the plaza and didnt see it, then I found out that its located inside 99 Ranch Supermarket, and there are dine-in tables. Many people came to eat after shopping for their groceries and with their shopping carts, this is so convenient! Looking at the menu, I was a bit worried because of the spicy sign listed in front of the dishes, because honestly, I cant eat too spicy food. Fortunately, it can be adjusted to be slightly spicy, which is really good! I ordered a few signature dishes, Pao Mo Soup with Lamb, Traditional Liang Pi “Cold Noodles”, Chinese Burger with Stewed Pork, and then the Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Noodles with Special Cumin Beef recommended by the staff. This is also the first time I tried Pao Mo Soup with Lamb, and the small noodles inside are really delicious! Love the soup, and the lamb is very tender. It is a dish that you will want to eat again! Although I have eaten different Liang Pi in many other restaurants, this one is my favorite, because it is very chewy! The meat inside Chinese Burger is very tasty, and a perfect mix of the fat and lean pork. I am also a noodle lover, so I personally think this restaurant did a really great job on all the noodle dishes! Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Noodles with Cumin Beef is amazing! Hopefully I can try other dishes next time!At first, I walked around the square but didnt see it. Then I discovered that inside the Dahua Supermarket, there are dine-in tables and the space is quite large. Many people dropped by to eat after shopping and pushing their carts, which was quite convenient! I was a little scared when I saw the pile of chili labels on the menu, because to be honest, I’m not very into spicy food, but fortunately, it can be adjusted to mildly spicy, which is really great! I ordered a few signature dishes, including mutton steamed buns, traditional cold skin buns, classic pork buns with vegetable sauce, and then the cumin beef stir-fried pulled strips recommended by the waiter. This is also my first time to eat mutton steamed buns. The small noodles inside are really delicious! Moreover, the soup is very fragrant and the mutton is very tender. It is a dish that you will want to eat again! Although I have eaten different flavors of cold skin in many other restaurants, this store really suits my taste best because its cold skin is very chewy! The meat of the Roujiamo is very tasty and the meat is well-balanced. . I am also a noodle lover. The cumin beef stir-fried pulled tiaozi is not only a dish that is very popular in pots, but also the texture of the handmade noodles is very delicious. I will want to order other meals next time!
NAM Kitchen
1530 Artesia Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
Newly opened and better than most of the Vietnamese pho shops in the South Bay. Menu covers the typical rice & noodles and the soup flavors are good. They have a free pho noodle refill but the bowl is big enough that no one in our group asked for a refill. The app orders are ok, nothing too exciting. Will come try again.
Ramen Zuru
17801 Pioneer Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
Cold weather? Ramen always sounds good!Ramen Zuru is a ramen shop located on the left of Daiso in the 99 Ranch plaza in Artesia. What differentiates this from other ramen restaurants is the tablet ordering. Customers first order on one of two tablets by the entrance, give the receipt to the staff & then seated either at the communal bar facing the kitchen or one of the private tables. Another unique factor about Ramen Zuru is the choice of thin or thick noodles, made locally & delivered every morning by TAKARA RAMEN. Thick noodles, akin to udon noodles, are quite popular and the option we chose for our bowls of ramen.Tonkotsu & miso ramen-The tonkotsu ramen came w/ soft boiled egg. Both broths were hearty & rich. The thick noodles had quite the bite to them. I mightily enjoyed the mouth feel of the al dente noodles at first, but frankly, started to get over the amount of time it took to chew each bite. It became almost a chore. The 2 chashu slices were thick slabs of meat. However, they werent tender to my liking. I was given the chefs special habanero sauce, which gave a nice kick to our meal.Service was okay. I became annoyed with the party ordering before us, as they were taking their sweet time. I asked if we could just place our order with the staff, which I was told I could not. Minimal seating via the bar and a few private tables, which I found quite uncomfortable. Keeping with the aesthetic, the seats are rectangular blocks, w/o back support. I guess its good for keeping customers from staying too long, but for those with sciatica and/or back issues, not the most comfy experience. Parking is difficult to come by during peak hours at the 99 Ranch plaza.I enjoyed the tonkotsu & miso ramen at Ramen Zuru, especially with a liberal amount of the habanero sauce. I definitely would choose the thin noodles next time, for my taste. The time waiting to order and the hard block seats hampered our first experience, and while I will be back in the future, Im not eager to go anytime soon. Nevertheless, the ramen was A-OK.Recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
Rascals Teriyaki Grill
1540 Artesia Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
I have been a Rascals fan for decades and even used to bring friends here, but Im so disappointed by whats happened at this location.First, the quality of their Chinese Chicken Salad has really declined. They seem to be be cutting the amount of chicken and other things in it, while expanding the amount of cheap lettuce to act as a filler. At the same time theyve raised their prices considerably over the last few years. I understand that costs go up, but it barely seems like a chicken salad anymore. The cost isnt worth it.Secondly, the restaurant is poorly maintained, and has been for quite a while now. I think they only wipe down the tables once per day, because for the last 2 years every time we go in they are dirty and sticky no matter which ones we try. Sometimes the seats are too. Also a few of the tables are so wobbly that your drinks spill out if you bump it. Additionally, they repair the upholstery on the seats with duct tape, and have been for a long time. The tape gets worn and sticks to your clothes and leaves residue.
