Northern Cafe El Segundo
700 S Allied Way ste a, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Northern Cafe in El Segundo, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a delightful meal. The ordering process was incredibly convenient and efficient. Each of us at the table simply scanned the QR code, and it seamlessly placed our order for the entire table. This not only saved us time but also ensured that our selections were accurately recorded. Kudos to Northern Cafe for embracing technology in such a user-friendly manner. Now, lets talk about the food. We started with the Sautéed Green Beans (photo attached), and they were simply outstanding. The beans were cooked to perfection, tender yet crisp, and bursting with flavor. It was a great way to whet our appetites for the feast to come.Next up was the Beef Roll (photo attached), and let me just say, it was a work of art. The tender slices of beef were enveloped in a delicate, flaky pancake, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. It was a true delight to bite into, and the accompanying sauce elevated the dish to another level. The Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles (photo attached) were a definite highlight of the meal. The noodles had the perfect chewiness, and the slightly spicy sauce packed a flavorful punch that had us reaching for more. It was a dish that satisfied both our cravings for heat and our love for well-balanced flavors. The Crab and Pork Dumplings were a hit at our table. Each dumpling was meticulously crafted, with a thin, delicate wrapper encasing a delectable filling. The combination of crab and pork resulted in a delightful blend of sweetness and savory notes that left us wanting another round. The Chongqing Crispy Chicken (photo attached) was another winner. The chicken was expertly fried to a crispy perfection, with a tantalizingly spicy coating that kept us coming back for more. The dish had a wonderful depth of flavor and was a definite crowd-pleaser.Lastly, we indulged in the BBQ Pork Buns, and they did not disappoint. The fluffy buns were filled with succulent barbecue pork that was both tender and flavorful. Each bite was a heavenly combination of textures and tastes, making it a perfect ending to our meal. One minor suggestion I have is to consider providing larger tables to accommodate the generous portions and various sharing options. While the food came out at lightning speed, we found ourselves struggling to fit everything on the table. Having a bit more elbow room would enhance the overall dining experience. If youre in El Segundo and looking for a dining experience that combines convenience, speed, and above all, incredible flavors, I highly recommend Northern Cafe. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.

Hot 8 Yoga
740 S Allied Way, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
First Ill start with The Good: Some of the Hot Yoga teacher are great and most of the staff are friendly and cordial. You can always find free parking in the area. The Bad: I had put my membership on hold as I wasnt able to take any classes for a while. And even though there is a constant barrage of messages and emails sent to you when you are a member, not a courtesy notification that they were about to charge my card again. As soon as I found out I asked them to consider to refunding the charge for classes that I cant use. Here in lies the crux; behind the veneer of niceness is a big corporation, with watertight contracts, upper management and impersonal rules to be followed. They are like the big fitness centres cashing in on fees from people that are not attending classes.Another point is; whilst they offer a lot of classes if you like a certain style of yoga the schedule is actually quite limited.Once again some really nice people work here, but, if you are interested in hot yoga in the South Bay Area theyre a way better options. There are several small studios that are way more personal and intimate (and potentially more reasonable on a human to human level) if you like a sausage factory style fitness corporation than Hot 8 is probably for you!
Blossom Ramen
130 E Grand Ave ste d, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
Ah, dear readers, join me on a culinary journey as I recount the exquisite experience of savoring a delightful bowl of Blossom Tonkatsu Ramen, accompanied by a refreshing seaweed salad and a savory matcha milk tea.Imagine, if you will, a delicate symphony of flavors that begins with the first sip of the rich, velvety broth. The Blossom Tonkatsu Ramen presents itself as a masterpiece of culinary art, its base a deeply satisfying pork broth, simmered to perfection, carrying whispers of umami that dance upon the palate. Nestled within this luxurious liquid are tender, succulent slices of pork, their richness tempered by the subtle crunch of perfectly cooked noodles. But the journey does not end there. Complementing this robust centerpiece is a seaweed salad, a verdant array of marine greens that provide a refreshing counterpoint to the ramen's depth. Each bite is a burst of oceanic freshness, with a hint of sesame that lingers pleasantly, evoking the gentle sway of seaweed in the coastal tides. And to complete this harmonious trio, a savory matcha milk tea stands as the final note in this culinary overture. The matcha's earthy bitterness melds seamlessly with the creamy milk, creating a beverage that is both soothing and invigorating. It is a perfect companion to the rich tones of the ramen and the crisp notes of the seaweed salad. In this trifecta of taste, we find a microcosm of culinary excellence, a testament to the delicate balance of flavors that nature, and a skilled chef, can provide. Truly, an experience to be savored and remembered.
SALOON OSAKA
100 W Imperial Ave, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
We went here for dinner as it was the closest place to us, and we wanted to try.Upon entering we were greeted and seated in a very friendly manner. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, incredibly authentic. We ordered the Japanese Potato Curry, Chirashi Bowl, Yellowtail Maki, and a Bento Box. Along with green tea.It took a bit to get our food, but it was worth it.All were delicious and incredibly flavorful. The sushi was fresh and wonderfully prepared. The decorstion was lovely as well. The curry was perfectly flavored, but not too much. The tempura was amazing and not too fried. All rolls were delicious. We truly enjoyed our time here and couldnt reccomend it more. The entire experience was amazing!
Mennoya Noodle House
United States, California, Hawthorne, W El Segundo Blvd, 邮政编码: 90250
There is a new ramen shop here, very close to my home, I am very happy, so that I don’t have to drive half an hour to eat noodles after work?. I like the style here is very Japanese anime, my favorite ?One Piece Luffy and Joe Badu, the staff here are very enthusiastic, and the hygiene is also very clean. The main reason is that people who have delicious noodles can choose a variety of toppings. Chicken karaage is delicious?. My favorite is takoyaki, which is much bigger than other shops. And dumpling ❤️❤️❤️Check out the new store, delicious ?❤️
Jame
241 Main St, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
We decided to check out Jame after I found out it was the first restaurant of the owner of Ospi, Jackson Kalb. Jackson was also an apprentice under Josiah Citrin at Melisse Restaurant. I have loved Ospi and Melisse, so we had to give this place a visit. The restaurant is quite small and its tucked away in the back corner of the shopping center. We made a reservation to avoid the long waits on a Saturday night and were seated immediately when we arrived. We ordered a glass of wine and warm ciabatta to start. The umami butter that the bread was served with was a bit too odd of a flavor for my liking, but the olive oil with the bread was delicious. For dinner we ordered the Spicy Rigatoni, Mandilli, and Griddled Broccolini. The spicy rigatoni was by far our favorite! It was spicy, creamy, and delicious. The mandilli was layers of handmade pasta with a pesto sauce. The pesto sauce was really creamy and the noodles were a bit heavy, so we were happy to have the two pasta dishes to balance each other out. If I had ordered just the Mandilli I dont think I would have enjoyed the entire dish. The griddled broccolini was a pretty large side. The combination of creamy whipped ricotta, crunchy breadcrumbs, and fresh broccolini was perfect.Overall, the dinner was delicious. I gave it 4 stars because the ambiance and food want as great when compared to some of the other incredible Italian in Los Angeles, but I would definitely eat here again!
One Poke
2259 E Maple Ave, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
Terribly rude service. Poor quality ingredients. Small portions. No flavor. I have no idea how this place is so highly reviewed especially when there are better poke places right down the street.I placed an order for pick up at 12:05 and when I arrived at 12:15 it wasn't ready. I waited in the order pick up line to ask if I was in the right place for pick up and she cut me off and pointed to the line without saying a word. I got in line and waited with the 10 people in front of me. As I waited I saw someone come out from the kitchen. I tried to get her attention and she said no and pointed me back to the original lady who was rude at first. The OG lady pointed to the line again without a word. When I finally got to the counter they said they don't make orders in advanced and instead they wait until you get there. Not sure why they advertise skipping the line by ordering online then. ANYWAY They also said I needed to wait in the pick up line. I told them I was in the pick up line originally and was told to go to the main line by the other person. They were like oh well sorry it'll be five mins and proceeded to try to convince why waiting is better.Just don't go here. Ever.
Nomad Eatery
2041 Rosecrans Ave #190, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
This place sucks! We stopped by before goung to the movies. I was immediately enchanted with the decorum. Very small on the inside, with beautiful repurposed wooden tables, and candle holders. Fresh herbs sitting in pots on the bar, even the water glasses were made from old cut and polished wine bottles. Very cute and clever in my opinion. We were seated promptly, and after a few minutes, the dazed bar tender stopped by to take out order (not the best sign, to me) and ordered two coffees, two desserts, one appetizer, and one Irish coffee. Coffee was stale, our flat bread pizza was burnt, dripping with grease, and needed to be salted, the chocolate mousse topped with wipped cream was grainy and tasted of burned butter, and the caramel apple fondue consisted of a half an apple and an grainy caramel sauce. Waitstaff was unattentive, and seemed spacy, we were served our coffe without sugar milk or spoons. We requested sugar from three different people and were finally brought some splenda... :| after asking for a fourth time the bar tender said he would see if he could find some sugar and eventually brought some to the table. Normally I wouldnt rate so poorly, but out total bill was $57. I expect better food and service for such a price. I will not be back, and I will not recommend this place to my friends.

Mendocino Farms
840 S Sepulveda Blvd, El Segundo, CA 90245, United States
Big Mendo Fan here, I attended one of the soft openings yesterday. I had spotted this Mendo when I was at the soft opening for Hopdoddy right across from each other. Psyched as usual! Ive always been a big fan because the quality ingredients they use here are top notch and if you want to Eat Happy, you would do a LOT of substituting. :) Yes, you can build your own but I just like to confuse the BOH workers because I used to be one of them!Of course, 2 things had changed since I was at the last Mendo. The Ham and Cheese is no longer on the menu and neither is the Cranberry Walnut bread. ????? Booo....but I am sure they are doing this because they want to introduce other sandwiches. In the past year, Ive noticed they did away with the paper ordering as well.Last night, they were out of lemonade too, my kids were not too happy but I asked for a side of a kids strawberry and they were fine with that.As for the sandwiches, Ive almost had them all. I usually like to get the a variation of the Farm Club. Why? Because the Avo chunks are fresh, the bacon is thick and crunchy, and the Turkey is moist.Parking here can be a pain at night. As more and shops enter here, The Point will really need to do something about it because they are running out of spaces. Ive also witnessed people making U turns prior to Rosecrans if you were going South on Sepulveda. So anyways, Congrats on anothe Mendo location, keep making your sandwiches but please dont take away the good ones anymore!
