Tong Thai Bistro
25035 Blue Ravine Rd suite 120, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
We were around the area on Sunday noon and were hungry. Then we saw a thai restaurant next to Raleys supermarket and decided to try it. There was only one person tending the restaurant and he was the owner. He said that it was their 2nd opening day. He kindly offered drinks on the house for us.We got Thai iced coffee & iced Thai tea. We ordered Pad Thai with chicken and Drunken noodle with chicken (mild spicy). The owner also gave us complimentary fresh veggie spring roll.- Fresh spring rolls: the peanut sauce & sweet sour sauce were delicious! The spring roll itself tasted fresh.- Pad thai with chicken: delicious! The taste had a good balance of sweet-sour-saltiness. The noodle was cooked perfectly. Lots of chicken pieces too. The portion was good too.- Drunken noodle with chicken (mild): The noodle was cooked perfectly, lots of chicken pieces. Taste-wise, it was ok. Maybe if I ordered it medium spicy since it would taste better.- Thai iced coffee: gooood! Perfect sweetness- Thai tea: ok, tasted a bit too much milkOverall, the food was good & tasted authentic. The portion was good too. Excellent & friendly service. We had a bit of leftover and were stuffed by the end of the meal. I will definitely back to try their curry next time

Burma Light

This was our first time trying Burmese food and we were blown away by how delicious it is! We had the tea leaf salad, black pepper beef, chicken pumpkin curry and garlic noodles with shrimp. The tea leaf salad was absolutely addictive with its flavorful dressing, fresh crisp veggies and crunchy topping - we practically fought over the last of the bowl! Black pepper beef was very tender and succulent with a rich dark sauce of soy & black pepper - reminiscent of Mongolian beef with more intense flavor. Delicious! The garlic noodles were full of garlic flavor and the shrimp surprisingly plump & plentiful. The pumpkin curry is very unique, smooth and full of complex flavor while still allowing the pumpkin to shine. Total comfort food! The portions were generous, the staff quick & attentive. We ordered takeout and it was ready right on time and piping hot. The interior is clean and the decor richly colored. I wasn't there long, but next time we'll have to eat there to get the full experience. We're excited to have this great little spot nearby and can't wait to try more of their menu!

Umami Ramen
187 Blue Ravine Rd Ste 160, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
This is a solid ramen place, and the first one weve been to in the Sacramento area (coming from Orange County). You can definitely get better value, proportion and quality wise in SoCal, but this place gets it done and is definitely worth trying if you love ramen. Id rate it a 4.5/5 for the area and 3.5/5 for my favorite ramen places.Solid restaurant with a decent modern aesthetic and unique ordering system where you order from kiosk/tablet. No outdoor seating/dining.We got the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen with an extra side of corn (+1.50). Right off the bat, I could tell its decent ramen. Flavor of the broth is fairly balanced and not too oily while still having a very rich pork broth. We got the spicy flavor, which is moderately spicy, still leaves a burning sensation on the lips.Ingredients tasted pretty fresh (shredded black mushrooms, bamboo shoots, shredded green onions, and bean sprouts). The softboiled egg had a nice gelatinous yolk, but quite a bit on the sweet side. The chashu had a good flavor, although it was slightly dry/tough, but otherwise decent. Noodles had a solid texture but my girlfriend complained it lacked flavor somehow. This was a solid ramen. They gave complimentary green tea ice cream which was actually pretty good and worth a try. It had a hard to describe perfumey flavor that wasnt the same as other green tea ice cream. The texture was more like gelato, soft and creamy, and it wasnt overbearingly sweet. It tasted homemade in a good way (I asked and it isnt). I would order this.

Hasu Teriyaki and Sushi
25075 Blue Ravine Rd #120, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
This place is a hidden gem! Small mom & pop place right next door to Mimosa House. Delicious food! Sushi rolls, bento boxes, etc...you cant go wrong with anything you order, & its very reasonably priced. (Especially compared to places like Blue Nami, which is where I had the worst sushi ever & absolutely overpaid for, or pretty much any place in Roseville, who are charging $20 bucks a roll now, smh). I can get 2 rolls here for about $23-$27 bucks, after tax, depending on which rolls. Theyre very friendly & welcoming, always clean, & their chefs are consistent! Everything is always made exactly the same as it should be every single time, & theyve never gotten an order wrong. I brought my fiance, mom, & brother here, & come here myself often. Im a sushi connoisseur & have tried many places in Sacramento, especially Folsom where I live, & this place has become dead-even with my fav Sushi spot in folsom (dont get it confused with Hasui sushi across the street, their names are so similar). Highly recommend!PSA: Theyre popular so they get packed sometimes, so wait times can get long, so its better to call in your order & pick it up than get it delivered or sit & wait for it. Sometimes I go to Raleys next door & shop a little while I wait for my order to be ready. I know some ppl hate to wait, but thats just the way it is sometimes for a busy, popular place. Give them a break & tip them well if theyre busy. Its not that busy all the time though.

Vegan Asian Cuisine
329 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Very good food, the boba and vegan cheesecake and other desserts are great too. The owner is always very friendly and recognizes me every time. I know that the owner struggles, being a small family owned business. His wife operates the other location in rocklin/granite bay. He is there every day they are open. He works hard and it pays off. Great food, from soups, to various spring rolls and eggrolls, to rice, veggie, and protein combo dishes. Their tofu sandwich is my favorite though. When it comes to vegan asian food, I usually prefer sushi, but Pho Vegan has MUCH grester variety in terms of dishes. You need to go all the way to Sacramento and Elk Grove in order to find other asian restaurants with such an extensive vegan menu. Some of the best vegan food in the El Dorado Hills and Folsom area.

Twin Lotus Thai
8345 Folsom Blvd # 119, Sacramento, CA 95826, United States
I really loved this place but a recent experienced caused me to not want to go back. I have been ordering the same exact dish for awhile with no issues. Typically, a woman answers the phone, takes my order and it comes out perfect every time. The last time I called, I got a man who took my order differently. He asked what spice level I wanted my spicy basil chicken at. I explained to him that I had never been asked and I wanted it whatever way it typically comes. When I asked him which way it typically comes - he said medium (this was incorrect). I ordered it medium and it was nothing like the normal order. I broke out in an allergic reaction which I never did on the typical order. They re-made it and I thought they were going to make it the regular way but this time they made it with no spice. It was extremely sweet as though it had been soaked in oyster sauce and nothing else - there was no balance to the meal. A different employee indicated that the normal order comes with no spice which Im thinking is also wrong since the food tasted really bad. Also, if it comes with no spice, why is it named Spicy Basil Chicken.........?In any case, the difficulty in ordering a meal Ive ordered a lot on the past and the flavor being way off, even when they re-made the dish, plus the time and money wasted. I could not eat the dish and had to go somewhere else. What happened?!?!?

Nice coffee shop near a great noodle restaurant. Ive ordered a soy cappuccino twice, and the first time it was excellent, just as I make it myself. The second time it was more of a latte, but still good.

Hisui Sushi
25004 Blue Ravine Rd Ste 107, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Talk about fall of a shining star. Five years ago, I would've rated this place.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It was what I would consider one of the best sushi restaurants in the Sacramento region. I rated them against Sky (EDH) and Kru (Sac), even above the popular Mikuni chain. After Covid, there has been a steady decline in service and quality. My family and I stayed loyal, all the way until last night. When we first started going, I just figured the restaurant was new and needed time to build. Since then, the decor has not progressed beyond what you would expect from a strip mall diner. The service used to be absolutely stellar. The staff was attentive and accommodating. The newer employees treat you more like you're a nuisance and would rather adjust your bill versus just correcting the order. Normally, I enjoy dining in, but I also have a large family so we do a lot of takeout. On my last two experiences, one dine in and one takeout, the person taking my order missed an item. (The first time it was my personal meal and by the time I realized my meal wasn't coming, my family was mostly done with their meals. The second time was just a side order of rice for takeout). Most of the time I can let sloppy decor and poor service slide, as long as the food stays of superior quality. This is why I'm finally giving Hisui a rating. The fish was so poor quality, I may have been safer with gas station sushi last night. After spending over $100 for a dinner, I just couldn't just not eat the sushi. I definitely suffered the consequences for my actions though… repeatedly. I would not rank myself as a sushi, connoisseur, but I am definitely a great admirer of the dish. If I wanted this quality of sushi, I could go to a South Sacramento all you can eat buffet for half the price. If I want to spend this much for dinner, I'd just as soon go up to Sky or Mikuni's instead. At least there I know the quality is going to match the $.It's sad to see such a once great establishment fall to its current status. My family won't be going back any time in the foreseeable future.
