K T Noodles
3101 Sunset Blvd #1B, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
This is a delicious stop on the way out of Roseville shopping or if you are in the area. We ordered at the door and had our food in little time, with great quality. Several loyal customers stopped in too for their pickup and friendly chat. Mongolian tofu and veggies on crispy noodles were fantastic, with enough to split with 2 and extra for another meal! Great option for vegetarians.
Pho CALI
2209 Sunset Blvd #903, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
My wife and I were visiting family near here and I unfortunately was sick. Well, being sick I was craving some good soup. Thankfully Pho Cali was close and I ordered some Pho and a Bahn Mi. I ordered take out and was stoked initially that it was probably only going to be a 20 minute or so wait, but by the time I finished ordering I was told it was going to take 60 minutes... So that was weird. The Bahn Mi was great, the head cheese and ham offered a great salty meat, the veggies were super fresh tasting, and the pickled veggies were great. The bread was pretty fresh and crispy. And the pho was nicely put together. I ordered the large since it was only a couple dollars more than the small, I was shocked to see it was basically double the small order. So what a great deal. That being said I was really looking forward to a lot of tripe and tendon, especially with a large order, but there was not much at all. Sadly the pho was almost entirely rice noodle and very little tripe and tendon, but it was loaded with bean sprouts. The broth was great and it was delicious, but they need to step up the portion size for the proteins in the soup.

Jack Dane Auto Service - Rocklin
3720 Placer Corporate Dr, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
I was visiting in Rocklin from Colfax for my granddaughter's birthday party. It was close to 10 PM when we were going to head for home and I want to turn on the car and there was no power at all. I thought the battery died. I was trying to call through my insurance company to get a tow and whatever was needed but they had me on hold for a long time while they were helping somebody else! I decided to leave with other family members and came back on Monday! We decided to have it towed to a mechanic in Rocklin. They gave us three names of places, and I chose Jack Dane Auto Service in Rocklin. They just seemed like the best choice.I am glad I chose them because they were very kind and very helpful! I asked them what could be wrong with my car because we had the battery checked by Napa and they said nothing was wrong with it! They said we will definitely have to check it out because there's a lot of different things that it could be! The shop was very tidy and very clean, and they were so kind it just seemed like I could really trust them! So that was pretty late in the afternoon and they told us they would check it all out and get back to us!So we went home and they called the next day letting me know what the problem was. It was the starter motor! They also sent me a list of other things that they checked out and could use attention, and they gave me pricing on everything also! And a lot of the things that they suggested they sent pictures they had taken to show me also, what was wrong. I had no idea my car needed all that attention. A couple things they had said had come to my attention in the past, but they said it could wait. It doesn't surprise me because it is 22 years old but no one has ever told me that all those things needed attention! So I couldn't afford to get everything done right away, but chose a few things! And they did quite a few things at no charge, even installing some new windshield wipers I had!So I was able to Google the prices they said and see if they were in a good price range& they were! I was totally happy And satisfied with everything they did! I think they are very honest, and I have been to a couple places in the past that we're not so honest!I would recommend them to anyone who needs auto service! Especially women because most of the time women do not know very much about cars! And I thought it was great that they sent me pictures on the problems of some of them! And I could tell that those problems have been like that for quite a while! So if you would like to be treated like a valued customer and to feel that you can trust those repairing your vehicles, Jack Dane is the place to go! I live about 35 miles away and I will probably go to them for more repairs instead of where I used to!A satisfied customer,Jennie C.
Izumi Japanese Restaurant
6840 Five Star Blvd #103, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
($$) three stars off the bat for environment, location and service. The service was prompt and efficient, if not friendly (I ordered TOGO). The atmosphere is typical of a sushi place - utilitarian and decorated in cultural accents. The sushi boat moat that travels around the main dining bar is a nice touch. I made my selections from the 50% discount menu, a trend among sushi restaurants in this part of the country. I tried the Roseville roll, the Guru roll and the River Cat roll - each roll less than $8.25 for a total of $25 and change for the 3 rolls. That is comparable to other local sushi spots that offer similar menus. Each roll was colorful and had no hint of a fishy smell. The ingredients were tasty and meshed well in my mouth. No complaints here and a satisfied belly earned the fourth star.
Ph Vegan Asian Cuisine
6661 Stanford Ranch Rd E, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
We had the Filipino pancit, orange chicken, lemon grass tofu, and fried rice. The orange chicken veggie meat was rubbery & stale & sauce wasn't orange in color or in taste. The bell peppers and onion it was made with was barely cooked. Tastes like veggies and veggie meat was warmed in microwave & then doused with sauce. Lemon grass tofu was drowned with what tasted like the same sauce as “orange chicken” There was no lemongrass taste in the dish. Same deal with the veggies as in the orange chicken. Pancit was mostly onions with a sprinkle of thin noodles. It was not Filipino pancit in taste or texture. The fried rice was barely covered with/soy sauce. It was mostly white rather than the dark brown color you're used to seeing with fried rice. One good thing I have to say about this place is that the service was very friendly which is not common in Asian restaurants (in my experience)Good customer service not so good food.
The Chefs Table
6843 Lonetree Blvd Ste 103, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
Upon entering we were told to sit anywhere. I mentioned that we had never been to the restaurant and was told to sit whereever you are comfortable. This would probably be okay, but my party just came from the bright sun into a dark tavern like establishment. We were greated by the waiter who welcomed us with, Hey, whats going on? Honesty we didnt know how to respond..ahh, we are here to eat?Two things I noticed straight away after ordering:The bar tender was handling money and bottles and then without washing his hands, strained what looked to be an egg white into a cocktail glass from his bare hands and made a drink for a customer. Second, there was an employee eating pizza in the back where they were preparing food and standing there smacking and talking while eating and food flying out of his mouth while all the employees laughed and said, Dont eat too much pizza man.Our food took over a half hour to get to us and saying we were disappointed is a gross understatement. We ordered the french dip which boasted about its premium cuts of meat. The portion of meat was laughable for the price of $23.00 and the fact that it came with nothing but the sandwhich, no fries, sides etc. The meat itself was thin like tissue paper and tasted like it had been soaking in dish water. Honestly, without the grilled onions and sauces, it was not edible. My daughter took two bites and said she didnt like it and then went for just the meat, hence the discovery of that flavor. We informed our waiter who rudely said loudly while walking away from our table, Well, now you know! I was astonished at the spectacle he made and then he ignored us for about 10 minutes. Then as he was walking by us again delivering a glass of wine to another table he yelled back at us and asked if we wanted a box. Shaking my head no, I was stunned at how this was handled, especially being in the hospitality industry myself. He then walked back through and asked again if we wanted a box. I again said no and he said, well maybe you want to eat it. I wanted to mention that I didnt care for mine either, but took the meat off and ate it with everything else on it because I was hungry. Not one time did he ask if she would like to have something else but instead wanted to know why she didnt like it. Before she could even tell him he started making assumptions and telling her why he thought she didnt like it. He said, Was it the meat...the meat, was it that? I bet it was the cheese, the cheese is strong, ok, yeah. Then walked away. To add more insult to injury, he charged me for it. This is the first time ever I have had to pay for something awful that wasnt eaten. We will never be going back.
Bangkok City Thai Cuisine
5050 Rocklin Rd Ste A12, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
Ive given this place a few tries, and I give up. First try was Pad Thai, which should be the best thing at a Thai place. Bland dry boiled chicken, unseasoned small (probably also boiled) shrimp. Soggy old unseasoned veggies. Anything on the menu that says pan fried is a lie, noodles are all soggy. The curry base they use for everything is definitely just some store bought dry mix stirred with coconut milk. Ive never had more bland and flavorless Thai anywhere before. On my final attempt at giving this place a shot, I ordered Three Flavor Noodles, extra spicy. Their idea of making something spicy is just dumping red pepper flakes on it until its inedible. I love really hot and spicy foods, and expected it to be a hotter curry sauce or seasoning mix, but no, just about a cup of red pepper flakes mixed into the soggy (definitely not pan fried) noodles. After all my companions had finished eating (the server never stopped to check on us, this place is small its not exactly asking much) I pointed out that my wife and I had both had 1 bite of my pile of pepper flakes and found it inedible. He took it back and said he would take it off the bill, as I had just spent my lunch hour with a burning mouth while staring at the front counter, hoping maybe the server would notice. Much later, he came back and offered to replace the dish, which I agreed to get the bland pineapple curry my wife got (complete with the boiled plain unbrined unseasoned chicken). After about another 20 minutes, he comes back with my togo container(with a broken leaking lid). He goes around the table getting payment, and instead of comping my wasted lunch hour (and losing a potential customer forever + me telling everyone I work with across the street about it) he charges me $16 for it. The to-go cup is barely 2 cups worth, with the tiniest little soggy white rice box Ive ever seen. I assume theyve only stayed in business because of people with low standards who dont want to travel farther for lunch.Picture 1 shows the obscene amount of red pepper flakes dumped on the dish (and also mixed in).Picture 2 shows the teeny tiny to go containers of what their idea of a single portion is. The Tapatio bottle for reference is one of those small 10oz bottles, phone camera makes it look bigger than it is. Maybe 1 cup of rice and about 1.5 cups of the curry which is mostly boiled bell peppers and whole cherry tomatoes (what are cherry tomatoes doing in curry to begin with? Taking up space...)
Pasta Zone
3031 Stanford Ranch Rd ste 13, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
I wanted to check out Pasta Zone for a while. It was a good to very good experience.First, after building your food, essentially telling the behind the counter person what items you wanted, they take your specific pasta and toppings and bake it. What they give you to eat actually looks and tastes very good. While other reviewers say that the pasta is made fresh, I didnt see any sign, nor did anyone point that out. There were 5 or 6 pastas all looking ok.There were 3 sauces: bolognese, marinara, and a cream sauce. We tried marinara and bolognese. Both good.Added mushrooms, spinach, and a massive amount of parmigiana and mozzarella. All of the above is taken and baked.Side notes: The shopping center this restaurant is in is under populated and sad looking. The landlord didnt give Pasta Zone a good location.Other note: the Zone is a very large place indoors. Yet, the choices of foods/ toppings is jammed into an area maybe 2 feet wide-- not very impressive presentation. This is purely a how they merchandise their food comment. I didnt see the WOW when I entered the building.Still, we all enjoyed our food here, and would highly recommend it for parents with kids of all ages.
Ichiban Sushi
4817 Granite Dr, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
My favorite sushi place around. Ive been going there at least once a month since I moved to the neighborhood in April 2018. The owners and staff clearly take a lot of pride in the place, and they are super sweet and fun. I love that they remember my boyfriend and me every time. The food is delicious and beautiful (even packed up for takeout) and obviously high quality. Theyve got a lot of creative rolls (my boyfriend has been systematically trying them all), and a lot of options for people who dont want raw fish. My favorite things on the menu are the Giants and Half Dome rolls and the salmon nigiri, but honestly you cant go wrong.Ive recommended Ichiban to everyone I know. And honestly, the fact that they continued to be successful all throughout the pandemic is a good indicator of how much the community loves them. Enjoy lunch or dinner - youll be glad you did!
Prime Wok Express
6506 Lonetree Blvd, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
This place blows Panda Express out of the water! The food here is great! Always fresh and delicious! The customer service is amazing. You are greeted as soon as you come through the door. The food is prepared fresh and out to your table in a very timely manner. I've never had very long of a wait. The prices are unbeatable! I get the lunch special and a large drink and it comes out to about $11. Can't beat it!Now for the food. Like I stated before I always go for the lunch special. This come with your choice of rice or chow mien and one entree. Don't let the sound of that fool you. The portions are huge! When I say huge I mean it! I cannot eat the entire meal. This usually gives me lunch and dinner! Not only are the plates big, but it taste great! You can't only get me hooked by giving lots of food. It has to be good too, and this place is!I myself will definitely be returning and I do and will continue to recommend them to everyone!
