Love Ramen
18635 Soledad Canyon Rd #104, Canyon Country, CA 91351, United States
Ate in this place at Dinner time, very small place, lady waitress told us 30min wait, w/c we waited. We were seated on a corner where they added a tiny table, chair and tiny table was DIRTY, requested the waitress to wipe it, she wiped the chair and table with wet cloth and left it as it is WET!, we have to ask for paper towel for US to wipe it dry.Time to order! We ordered Ramen and our little one just wanted to share so we asked for extra plate, lady waitress said they DONT HAVE EXTRA PLATES or BOWLS AVAILABLE!!?There we're literally only 15 costumers dined in!!! We even asked if they have to go styrofoam plates or bowls she said just small plastic to go box w/c we agreed to have BUT AT THE END SHE DID NOT GIVE US ANY!!!For our water: we had 2 regular cups, 1 styrofoam cup and 1 small metal cup which seemed to be they're employee cup?? BECAUSE THEY RAN OUT OF CUP AS WELL!!!!Food wasn't as good as the other Love Ramen branches. Ramen noodle was half cooked and broth was TOO SALTY!!!BOTTOM LINE WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS BRANCH!!!DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRANCH AT ALL! VERY BAD COSTUMER SERVICE!!! That lady waitress needs to be trained!!

Mix Stix Asian Fusion
751 Front St, Soledad, CA 93960, United States
Food was phenomenal (as always), but the waitress was quite stoic and rude. No thank you's, no friendly demeanor, and overall it felt like walking on egg shells and like she'd rather be anywhere than there. I've worked at a restaurant before, and I was appalled. Possibly the worst service I've ever had, which rare since ALL of the waitresses before this time have been friendly and polite. I don't expect a waitress to be treating me like royalty and bouncing up and down with extreme energy, but at the very minimum a polite attitude and basic manners are to be expected.

Mom Can Cook Thai Kitchen
18358 Soledad Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91387, United States
When Taste Meets Quality everything turns out better! It's been a minute since I've tried some great tasting Thai Food. And it's here in SCV! This place is a hidden gem, so don't let the old school location make you feel uneasy.Just go, order and Enjoy! ?First off, after reviewing some Google Reviews this Thai restaurant was the highest rated out of the few here in Santa Clarita. However I never tried it till today, and I'm glad I made the right choice! Parking is good, and this welcoming atmosphere of a place is something to be at with a date, friends or even your solo getaway! The inside was clean, and felt like a Authentic Thai Restaurant with modern flavor. The staff are friendly, and I really wished I sat and ate. But opted for Food to go on a late Thursday night. At first the menu was priced higher than other Thai Restaurants so I wasn't sure if I was getting a bargain. But upon eating dinner at home with their Signature “The Rich and Famous” Pad Thai, Crispy Tasty Rainbow Trout, and Homemade Style Wings, I knew right that second why this Gem is Called “Mom Can Cook Thai Kitchen!”Bite after bite, the priced matched the Taste! That much that I kept eating more than I can handle! Lol. Definitely a pleaser, and coming back for more!Sadly another location has been a great go to place that I've earned a great friendship with might not get my business as much anymore. Because this New Finding is a New Favorite for me!Thank you guys!

Elroys Fine Foods
15 Soledad Dr, Monterey, CA 93940, United States
We went to see what this store was all about. Interesting specialty type store. Decided to try one self serve sweet. While waiting in line at checkout I noticed an apparent manager take 2 individual pastry sleeve bags from the other cashier. Turns out a customer filled the bags with sweets at the self serve area, got to the counter and decided not to purchase the items. Both manager & clerk sniffed( closely) the 2 bags. Manager then put one cookie back into the cookie jar. She'd decided what flavor it was by then. The second bag she couldn't decide. I had no idea if it was a cookie, scone, bread, etc. Then I saw her touch items in the bag, in order to identify these items. Smelled them, picked one up with her hand and placed it in the cookie jar —- for sale! She was not wearing gloves. Then smelled and touched second item and added it to the cookie jar. I was astounded watching this— thinking of all the health dept regulations she had just broken. OK. The cookies are huge, really big and about $4 or so, but guessing which cookie it is (1) and (2) placing them back in a “for sale” cookie jar after being touched by the her, and apparently the first customer who thought they'd purchase them just to recoup the maybe $10-$12 was too much for me! I made a comment that I couldn't believe she replaced them in the cookie jars and she said the customer changed their mind. What if she “guessed” wring on the type of cookie? People have allergies! It was not a sanitary move. I could not believe what I witnessed to save a few dollars for the store!! I won't ever be back. This was all visible to customers.

Route 66 Classic Grill
18730 Soledad Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91351, United States
It's a restaurant where you can push the shopping. There's food of different kinds including Missouri and Oklahoma plates for a road trip on Canyon Country located through entertainment and browsers within streets of grey against a busy schedule for plenty. Around the building you'll find memorabilia for Coca-Cola which acts as Route 66's soda, replenishment, and debtor concerning beverages and interior decor related to the red-and-white brand. Grilled chicken sandwiches here compare to McDonald's Bacon Smokehouse even if pickles and coleslaw freshen up my day on a high note, so choices will meet demand. Route 66 isn't cold turkey unless you want it. Varying factors of experience depend on contrast between decision and receipt over food that's proven in hunger along your lines since to me burgers, appetizers, and other items rain on my parade for good show. Food presentation at Route 66 is continuous and uplifting under the roof where Snoopy dolls watch me from little red planes, “Coca-Cola” glows in hot neon, and golden oldies blast from hidden radios. Even tables are laid out in fashion for generations prior to the 80's despite similarities among hanging signs, as particulars get a handle on music where meat is grilled to perfection, appetizers improve taste for later meals, and soda gives us more courage to handle our thirst. Service around here is exquisite no matter how the past and the future combine into experience through dining. Present moments, over and over, interpret the rest we've sobered up to. A lot happens to be efficient in good terms for which Route 66 determines quality not only by choice of action, yet there's enough quantity on the line, a menu as big as it can get for some time, when fries pop out of a dish towards other seats all around the dining circle I've probably volunteered on with my family on special occasions in our history together. Often you'll find me with a cowboy hat where the sun shines onto the water fountain located to the side of Route 66's building between more slots in the parking lot, or maybe I should say “parking lots” because of the wide expanse you'll find at the classic grill's quarters, some of which act as pathways to a Vietnamese restaurant across the street and another one of those Greek-looking cafes at a sharp turn heading to McDonald's over the asphalt. Be careful when you cross the streets though. The grill is excellent for a bite, provides continuous and reliable service through hire and immediate sanity, or else does both in my mind while the going gets tough and I leave it to faith when crossing the real Route 66 heading up towards Chicago from the Pacific as I can see enough into my praise for their delicious, quick product.

The Windmill Restaurant
1167 Front St, Soledad, CA 93960, United States
The food was average. I was in a group of 6. Two of us were visiting family from out of town. Naturally, we were engaged in each others conversation and took us a while to order. However, the waitress seemed pretty annoyed with us. After we ordered, it took a while for our food to come. My dad ordered salmon and was the last plate to be brought out. His salmon was so cold. He ordered a hot coffee and was served old coffee. We asked my dad not to eat his food and wed let our server know. My dad is 73 and decided he didnt want to wait. We mentioned the cold salmon waitress when she came around and asked how everything was. Her response you shouldve said something soonerWhat she doesnt know is that I observed the Kitchen staff struggle to stay organized. At one point she was asking for certain dishes/sides they did not make. I also observed her interaction and demeanor with other diners. The waitress cashes out at table side. I find out unfair and wrong for servers to hand you the credit card terminal preset with a tip and not give diners the privacy to adjust based on diners experience and quality of service. She made us feel like we irritated the S*** out of her for coming in to dine.I know most places are understaffed right now but that does not have to result in poor customer service.

Island Pacific Seafood Market
19387 Soledad Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91351, United States
This is the largest Asian market in the SCV, with a focus on Philippine products. It currently has 2 eateries inside (although it had as many as 6 pre-COVID) in addition to its market. There is also a Goldilocks bakery inside.Crab Mentality is a play on words with the mindset to bring down those who have climbed the ladder of success (crabs will try to pull down those who have climbed up in an attempt to pull themselves up). My family went there a few times before COVID; the food is great but it can get expensive so we dont eat there too often. They will cook up fresh seafood (mainly shrimp and crab) that you eat at your table over butcher/wax paper (because it can get messy fast). They also offer lobster, fish and shellfish. The other eatery is a point point joint -- you point to what you want (with either your finger or your lips, if youre so inclined... of course verbal requests are also fine). We come here at least once a week, as its affordable and ready to eat. They offer the common variety of Filipino dishes but specialize with grilled foods. And this is one of the few places that offer goat (kambing) if youre into it. You can sometimes see them grilling the food right at the front as you wait in line. The market has a wide assortment of Asian vegetables and products that you wont find in the mainstay supermarkets like Ralphs or Vons. So youll find more varieties of rice, certain meat products that you wont anywhere else. The prices are consistent with other Filipino markets in the area - and unfortunately there arent many others unless you choose to make the trip deeper into LA County. Aside from Island Pacific, the only other chain is Seafood City, which is nowhere close to SCV.Goldilocks is a major bakery chain in the Philippines. Currently when I am able to go to the market (evenings), its usually closed (while the rest of the market is open). Maybe its due to COVID? The market offers a few baked goods from local vendors but they dont offer the cakes, pies, or other sweets that Goldilocks does. My familys favorite is the egg pie.If youre Filipino, you probably already know about the place, especially if youre cooking Filipino. But if youre not, but still interested in tasting Filipino food or sampling some products from the Philippines here in the Santa Clarita Valley, this is the place to go!
