Essence Drinks and Dining

I am a manager and had experience tonight not to be desired. I am writing this review hoping it can be a learning moment and improve your business. My wife and I stopped by to give this restaurant a try. We actually ordered 3 different entrees to try this restaurant offerings (Wagyu Sizzling Skillet, Banh Canh Tom Cua, and Chao Ga plus optional +3 salad). the waitresses read back our order. Though this was only accomplished after I had to ask one of the waitresses to take our order 15 minutes or so after seating. though there were 4 or 5 other tables they were not that busy, especially with at least 5-6 wait/front staffers. They brought us 2 soups base items first but without the optional additional salad. 20 minutes later after we finished what was brought out, I flagged the waitress to let her know we were still missing THREE ITEMS Wagyu Steak, the salad additional cost accompaniment to my Chao Ga, and our drinks. from what I observed, and I am only guessing that somehow my food was given to another guest and they were halfway done enjoying it. I told them then, that I no longer wanted the items considering our dinner was almost done and items were not even started to be produced. When I went to pay for the meal I inquired what went wrong. All I got was no eye contact mumbled excuse that kitchen forgot. The apology was not sincere and almost inaudible. I know mishaps happen we are all human and are infallible. I do not know any people there were ownership or management but ownership of mistakes and accountability can go a long way toward more positive outcomes and opinions and return of customers.Sincerely,Dr. Khai Tran

Bun Bo Way
15450 Brookhurst St, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Typical Viet place. So expect that kind of service. Decent meal. Not too expensive ($7 average ).The bun bo hue (Central Viet nam spicy beef noodle) is a little salty ( broth cooked down all day? ) they give u just enough of the herb, bean sprouts and shredded banana blossom no fresh chillies though. Would love a bigger piece of lime so ask for more if u want more than a eighth of a lime. Service is quick...to the point..no fuss...no extra..just eat fast and go. I prob will eat here again since it is better than other places ..but make sure to ask for ice water or u will get plain luke warm water from the tap ..lol..there are some dessert options too ( traditional sweet bean dessert i.e. che and flan and Sam bo luong)..but after a two hours drive home from work ..I dont want chit chat or anything else ..give me my noodle soup quick ..nothing fancy. Also parking is a little difficult since its in a strange little cubby hole. Pay at the cashier . Also they have other food such as banh canh and rice dishes ..but if you going to go to a place that specializes in beef noodle ..why have other stuff?

Phuong Restaurant (1 H Tiu- Bnh Canh -Bn C)
10722 Westminster Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
I go back to Phuong restaurant after 4 months its remodelled. It looks nicer, cleaner and warmer. It has more dishes, new bowls, new tables & chairs and decorating. I entered the restaurant and recognized its crowded with more customers than before. I had a very delicious hủ tíu khô, a kind of noodle with separate soup. I like the way they treat customers with addition chilly, onion, sprout, vegetables with no charges. Unlike some another restaurants charge 50 cents to 1.50 dollard for add-on sprout, chilly, etc... I am really enjoy food and time at Phuong restaurant.

Pad Thai Restaurant
12620 Westminster Ave Ste.A, Santa Ana, CA 92706, United States
Not worth the amount of food for price. $18 for a lunch special with paid thai and shrimp. Literally $2 more for shrimp and i got 1 shrimp lol. The service was lousy and the place looked old and dingy. My food was sitting on counter I asked if that was my order and the gentleman said yes but you have to pay first. I was still waiting on my Thai Tea to be served. When I told him im going to pay he begin to raise his voice at me and gave me an attitude. I told him its not like im walking towards the door i simply asked if that was my food. Im paying with card. Not the customer service I was hoping for the first time being at this establishment with that customer service plus the food quality wasent that great I wont ever be back! Id rather save my money and go to another thai place. Was really hoping this place would Excel my expectations as it does have 4.9 reviews ...idk from where.

DING DONG Tea Espresso & Sugarcane Juice
15496 Magnolia St #107, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
With the funny, questionable name restaurant, I walked in with no expectation. Yet, I was hit with a Michelin ⭐⭐⭐ dish which is the Flan Shave Ice Cream. Yes yes yes, I know, that was a little bit of an exaggeration because I want people to show this place a little bit more love. Maybe the hype dies or just my personal anecdote but, on the afternoon of June 15, 2023, the place was lacking some customers and liveliness; nonetheless, the tasty boba tea, reasonable pricing, and welcoming customer service provided by DING DONG Tea is something that I will never forget.I just received two stamps out of ten for a coupon, so I definitely will come back. The main point is that, yall should definitely check out this place if you happen to pass by Magnolia St. Maybe it was a random anecdote that caused me to think this way, so please take it with a grain of salt and BOBA CUP FROM DING DONG. Okay, Ima calm down with the free marketing segway.Enjoy your time and dont be intimidated by the manager, he is the nicest man ever!

Hippo Loco
16519 Magnolia St, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Cute little place for drinks and quick food. Usually Vietnamese places dont invest in decoration or brand name logo but this place has their signature design. I order 3 drinks and 2 bánh mì. Bánh mì fish was good, BBQ pork was yummy too. Drink quality is standard. Very good service (which is rare too lol) highly recommend for a refreshing experience.

Aiyu Cha
16472 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Where do I begin? Stumbled upon this amazing place from instagram. I was like a little school girl who was going to wet her panties to be here. They have some interesting menu items I couldn't decide what I wanted to get. My main goal was to grab me an egg. This is what their known for. So I ordered their kumquat winter melon tea which tasted so refreshing. The tea had that citrusy taste, and followed behind it the wintermelon. So tasty. My friend ordered the crème brûlée Thai tea. It was really good like perfect amount of sweetness gave it an interesting flavor. Very smooth and buttery like. My partner ordered their signature rose tea jasmine green tea latte whom he said was really good. The aroma was very relaxing according to what he said. The bunny don't get me started about their signature dessert. It's basically agar agar with sea salt crème foam with strawberry honestly I was like oh chocolate but it's really refereshing everything together tasted really good perfect balance of sweet and salty. I couldn't help but giggle to see the bunny quivering as if it was shivering. Their pancakes are so fluffy. Nice buttery and smooth. If you decide to stop by this amazing cafe please do their super friendly, and patient. Super amazing staff. This place is so clean as well. Highly recommend this cafe. Stop by to check it out you won't be disappointed

Ham n Scram
5871 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Hands down one of the best breakfast burrito joints in all of California - and thats saying a lot coming from me because I dont live anywhere close to this yet Ive been coming to them time and time again for the past four years and finished two loyalty cards (which by the way I highly recommend getting so you can get a free burrito after your 10th purchase!) And I live in the valley, in fact next to the all local famous corner cottage, and I will say this...if I had to choose between the two, Id choose this place, no questions! The chunks of smokey ham is all i need to say how absolutely delicious this place is! It is definitely my go-to spot for breakfast burritos in the OC!It puts other ham breakfast burritos to serious shame!I think what sets them apart from all the other spots is based on the following:1) THE CUSTOMER SERVICE - great great beyond great! and he emphasizes hes about customer service too. he remembers customers which is nice, and they all seem like regulars, another i look out for when im on the hunt for a place i plan on going back to more than once.2) PROPORTION - and im not just talking about size, but im talking about egg to ham to cheese to the usual filler potato - equal amounts in each burritto....I LOVE THAT!

Wow Spaghetti
7852 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683, United States
They dont have the mochidogs anymore, that side of the menu was dark. Its just spaghetti/fettuccine. Its a pretty wild situation, like what if spaghetti was made like ramen more or less. Basically you pick the noodle (spaghetti or fettuccine) then a sauce, then a level of spiciness for said sauce, then toppings and sides (garlic toast 50 cents a slice, buy three). You get a Ramen-like bowl. There is more sauce than pasta, def a different ratio than any western pasta set up. The sauce is, however, delicious and I regretted ordering only one piece of bread. I actually had bites of just sauce, which I cant ever remember doing with a non meat sauce pasta before. Everything is extremely basic inside, its like, a converted burrito shop or wienerschintzel. The soda machine has four flavors, no other options. I got medium spicy, Im a hot sauce/Sriracha fan but not a nut, and I would go spicier. Def get mild if you are spice sensitive. I would say that if you are in this part of Orange county (westminster area) its worth checking out. I will be back for sure to try another dish. I want to say this place is unique to my knowledge.
