My family and I ate here this past Tuesday and I have to say, Frank has completely redeemed this location for us and hope for quality service! From the second we sat down until the very second we stepped off the curb and walked away to our car, Frank made our experience one for the books. He was goofy and funny, he was loud and made his presence known, his service was that of a show and has my children asking to go back to see him every single day. Even though we were not his only customers, he made us feel as though we were. He was attentive and accurate, we never once had to ask for him. His timing for taking our order and delivering our food and drinks was perfect, even refills. We left a tip larger than Ive ever known my husband to leave and a note for the manager, hoping to make sure he knew he had an awesome employee on his hands - those dont come by very often, especially this day in age. I was drawn to write this, not only because of the stellar service and good food, but because in comparison to our last visit here in October of 2020, for my birthday, my family and I were certain we would NEVER return to this location. The service was HORRIBLE to say the least, management could care less, the food was awful, and my four children were upset with it all forcing me to complain and leave very upset. I was hesitant to return on this very evening, but I am SO glad I did!

Food is good but its urbane cafe, its usually always good. Customer service was bad. I called to make an order and a woman named Cassandra picked up. I asked for something on the side for my order and she says ALL I NEED IS THE CARD with a rude tone. I snapped back at her and told her again louder what I needed and asked her if she heard me. Then paid for my order and headed over there. Called when outside for contactless pickup (corona) and she said she would bring it out. Keep in mind there are no customers inside and no other orders waiting on the table and shes not on the phone. 5 minutes go by and I just go in to grab it. Let her know that she was rude and how bad her service was.

VERY Disappointed. One sandwich, one half soup half salad was $28. Thats fine if the sandwich wasnt less than half the size of a Subway with less than 1/4 of steak that didnt even reach to the ends of the buns.WORSE THAN THAT, I am allergic to bell peppers and we asked at the drive-thru placing our order if there were any bell peppers in the salad we were told there were not.But when we actually opened up the salad there was over a quarter of a cup of bell peppers.Fortunately we had parked right next to the restaurant to eat so we went back through the drive-thru and voiced our concerns.We were told there were no bell peppers in that salad found one we insisted that there were then they looked at the ingredients and said oh well the bell peppers arent really in the salad there in the edamame mix that goes in the salad. And I said if the edamame mix is a part of the salad recipe then there are bell peppers in the salad again she told me there were not.No apologies no what can we do to make this right we drove up to the window and said we wanted our money back and she didnt but was not friendly no sorry no our mistake know anyting she acted as if we were a nuisance to her.

Heart Health Concerns read here….Still stand by original 5 star review at that time, but must re review based off the last 3+ current experiences. So today 4/19/2024 ordered pick up on line as we have many many times before. However today including the last 3 + times we ordered for pick up our food has been progressively more salty than is tolerable. I no longer recommend this location. As matter of fact avoid this place all together if care about your heart health. Honestly there is less sodium in a In & Out Burger Meal for example. Don't be be fooled by the it's healthy Mediterranean food. For reference we ordered the chicken breast plate with Greek salad & basmati rice. Everything is beyond salty. It's $21 to give yourself a heart attack. I caution anyone with blood pressure issues or heart health concerns to stay far far away. You would be better off eating a McDonald's meal which I wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole but if you're going to eat here you actually might eat less salt if you did. I threw away over $50 of food because it was completely inedible. We care about our health this place doesn't care about yours.Ordered from here many times over the last 6 months. This previous Saturday February 24, 2024 we did a family size order for a baby shower for delivery in the Porter Ranch area. The food, as usual, was outstanding. Extremely fresh good quality produce & meats. And the best babaganoush in the valley! Absolutely worth every penny. We are thankful and got many meals out of it. My only tiny, tiny complaint is the chicken breast was a bit salty, but we are sensitive to salt as our family does not salt any food we make at home. Best Greek salad in the valley, best Greek salad dressing!. We love this place. Is it pricey? not really. We get multiple meals out of our orders. I would venture to say dividing our meals up comes to about $5 a meal within a reasonable healthy portion. It's overall a healthy choice and we will continue to be costumers. Ive ordered in person and a ton from Grubhub. Everytime the food has been exceptional.The Spare Rib, Spicy Squid, Seafood Soup are a staple in our diets now. All super delicious.The Bonebroth soup I choose over Pho when sick due to its bland nature and p sugar content. It goes down easily and always makes me feel better after having it.Amazing little restaurant, Im super happy they are around.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Portos Bakery and Cafe in Northridge for the first time, having previously only enjoyed their offerings brought to me by others. The experience did not disappoint. The bakery exudes a sense of high quality, organization, and efficiency thats evident from the moment you step in.Despite the constant line, the wait time is surprisingly manageable, largely due to the well-organized system in place and the ample, friendly staff ready to assist. I was particularly impressed by how quickly the staff worked, ensuring that customers received their orders in a timely manner. This efficiency was highlighted by my own experience of ordering ahead and being in and out within just 10 minutes, while others waited longer to place their orders.The bakerys layout is impressive; its one of their newer locations and boasts a huge space with ample seating areas. However, its popularity means that its often crowded, with many patrons looking for a spot to sit and enjoy their pastries. Despite the bustle, theres a harmonious balance of energy and order that I would describe as controlled chaos - crowded yet incredibly organized.The ambiance of the cafe adds to the experience. Greeted by smiles, a giant nutcracker, and a beautifully lit Christmas tree upon entry, the festive atmosphere was heartwarming and inviting.In terms of parking, it can be a bit challenging, so be prepared for a short walk if you dont manage to find a spot close by. As for the pastries, every item Ive tried has been delightful, with no disappointments so far.

Sometimes in life you never know what you are going to find. Kababe Grill was a nice surprise. I dont know if I ever had Persian food before, but this place is great. My date and I tried it on a whim. We started with their pickled vege appetizer (carrots, cabbage, cauliflower) and it was bursting with taste. She had the beef koob and I had the chicken koob for our main dish. Everything was perfect: the grilled veges, the meat, the rice, the thin-flour bread. We shared a baklava for dessert. We sat outdoors in the beautiful fall weather and had a great time talking because of the inviting atmosphere of the place. Please give them a try; I know I will again.

My kids’ new favorite place is, without question, Waffle Love—and for good reason I might add!! This tiny restaurant is situated on Reseda Blvd just north of Nordhoff street. My kids and I have visited a few times but on this particular visit the customer service and food was on point! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and super patient with a mom of very indecisive kids! ???♀️ My son decided on their standard chicken and waffles, while I tried their cinnalove waffle and chicken and my daughter had her go-to tomato bisque soup and grilled cheese sandwich. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! The chicken breast was freshly prepared after we ordered. It was fried to perfection—crispy on the outside, nice and juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor! While no additional condiments are needed, their homemade dipping sauce is honestly the best around. The chicken alone is a perfect 10, so you can only imagine the excitement of your tastebuds when you dip it into their delicious dipping sauce. ?My waffle was INCREDIBLE! All I can say is, if you like cinnamon, you have got to try this waffle. My daughter swears by their grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup and gave it a 10/10 in flavor. Definitely the best chicken and waffle spot around! Our visit was easily 5 star. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

2022.04-03/SUN_1100: This is probably the first time we visited here after 10 am. We were scared we were gonna wait forever but we didnt! There was a wait but it wasnt longer than fifteen minutes. This place is hustlinand bustlin. This is an old fashioned deli and the best part besides the food are the wonderful, well-seasoned servers they have working here!Today we had the pleasure of meeting Dona. She rocks! Just like Francisco, she was super attentive and we loved her personality! The staff is just incredible here! As people were leaving, everyone was saying goodbye to her so I know they were regulars that had the wonderful experience that we had!We came here for our new favorite, the Chopped Liver appetizer. You heard me right. The last time I had liver was back home when my mee-maw made her delicous liver and onions. The only liver I thought I would ever eat in my life until I tried Brents Chopped Liver. Its served with their homemade rye bread or bagel chips and butter. They even place enough tomatoes, lettuce and sweet red onions as garnish to make a sandwich out of it or just enjoy it piece by piece. Its that great, it could be your main entree. The chopped liver is served cold! I dont even care for liver and now I crave it!Enough about the delicous liver. Lets move on. Since we had the appetizer, we decided to go with the Roast Beef Melt and the Black Pastrami Reuben, both with a side of Au Jus. The meat in their sandwiches were succulent and moist. Maybe in-house? Sure tastes tastes like it! The sandwiches were stuffed and grilled to a golden brown perfection. No words can describe how you feel when you bite through a Brents Deli sandwich. Oh and their coleslaw....too much goodness here. It was a comfort food, cheat day and Brents is definitely the place where you want to be when it hits you! You get that home feel when youre at Brents and they have everything you could possibly want. They cover it all. The best part is, breakfast is served all day. Pricing to portions cant be beat! Now that we cant dine in and had to order take away, we wanted to make sure it was gonna be something good. We even had to drive thirty minutes to get there so yeah, it will be worth it.Got my fave, the Black Pastrami Reuben. One word - heaven. Ive always loved Brents because of the quality of their meats and breads. The best. On top of that, they have excellent portions, no matter what you order! I just love their pastrami and their sauerkraut. I also love their Rye and sourdough bread. One word: proper. Even better, they still give you a taste of their complimentary house pickles. Thats right. I cant stand pickles but Ill eat theirs! When you dine-in, they usually give you a little appetizer plate of their home made pickles! Crispy and perfectly sour and sweet!! Its just so good! Oh, their steak fries, fantastic, too!! Golden brown, crispy and a huge portion. The portion of our side of fries were packaged in a Brents Deli small bag! Thats right, one side of fries came in a white (brown lunch bag size) bag! We had two sides of fries - one for each sandwich. So, thats a lot of food!Everything is always delicious from Brents Deli, whether you are getting an entrée, a soup, sandwich or just sliced meats, even desserts! Definitely excellent even if youre ordering take away food!On your way out, youll have to grab one of the (popular NY-style cookie) black and white cookies! Wow, I didnt even take a picture of that but it was delicious! The cookie has a lightly sweet lemon and vanilla flavor. One side is frosted with chocolate frosting and the other half has a lemon icing. I know I shouldve gotten two of them! I cant finish up this review because Im about to reheat my leftovers!
