Panera Bread
5100 Commons Dr, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
I normally love eating at Panera but this was by far my worst experience ever. The cashier told my sister that they were out of French Onion soup so she ordered Tomato and then the rest of us ordered, thinking we were okay since the cashier didnt say they were out of anything else. When we went to pick up our orders, we find out that they are all out of baguettes and instead of telling us this, they put chips on all of our plates. They also ran out of the baked potato soup I asked for and gave me chili without asking me first. They also had French Onion soup. The kitchen and the cashiers failed to talk to each other and I watched 4 other disgruntled customers have their orders completely changed because of items that ran out. The food also looked like it was thrown together. Even though it was only 7pm and they dont close until 10pm, they started cleaning up with a full restaurant which made it difficult to get refills or condiments. The cashier failed to swipe my dads Panera card and instead directed him to the website at the bottom of the receipt but my dad is 80 and hates computers, which is why he normally has the cashier swipe his card. Finally the trash and the dish bin were overflowing and we could barely fit our dishes in the bin. We should have left them on the table for the crew to clean up since it doesnt seem like they are competent enough to do the rest of their jobs. I will not be going back.

Noodles and Company
5198 Commons Dr, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
Great selection of noodles, soups salads, and sandwiches where you can customize the noodles and soups with your protein of choice. The taste is airways consistent across all restaurants and everything I have tried so far is appetising and tasty. While everything falls a little short of the quality that you may find in your favorite authentic restaurant, their food taste just falls minutely short, but they are quick in serving you and do a mighty fine job being a counter service restaurant.

This is 3.5 to 4 stars (good food, great service, lots of interesting pictures/decor to look at while waiting). They kindly brought us two samples of their lentil soup while we were waiting for the Famous Gyro Sandwich and the Mediterranean Style Falafel. The soup with a crispy pita was pretty tasty. Out of the other two orders I really enjoyed the falafel - a perfect balance of mint/veggies/sauce that with that mouthful of freshness it paired well with the perfectly cooked crispy fries. The gyro was a great bite but the meat was a bit salty. This could be just me and typical of gyros - Ive had gyros from two different restaurants in the last few weeks and noticed the same heavy salt flavoring? This one was much better if that helps at all.

Looking for some delicious Mediterranean food in Rocklin? Look no further than Wallys Cafe! This restaurant is a hidden gem, serving up some of the best falafels and baklava around. But its not just the food that sets Wallys Cafe apart. The service is also top-notch. Robbie, the manager, is amazing and really takes care of the guests. Hes always attentive and makes sure that everything is running smoothly. One of my favorite dishes at Wallys Cafe is their lentil soup. Its the perfect comfort food on a chilly day, and its packed with flavor and healthy ingredients. And of course, I cant forget to mention the falafels and baklava. They are absolutely divine! The falafels are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the baklava is just the right amount of sweet.Overall, I highly recommend Wallys Cafe for anyone looking for delicious Mediterranean food and amazing service. Its a must-visit restaurant in Rocklin!

Cant beat this in rocklin. The rare Mediterranean restaurant, 2 dinners combined under $20, free soup, free superb baklava. Had gyros which is good, but the baklava was the best Ive ever had. Slight sweetness, flaky, perfect nutty balance. And super nice service from the owner Wally. This sets a benchmark for quick good food in Rocklin.

Chullas Cafe
6220 Stanford Ranch Rd Ste 200, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
This is our new favorite restaurant! The food is amazing, the place is clean and the staff is super friendly. The owner, Tamba, greeted us with a hearty welcome and cheerful smile. The whole staff seemed to genuinely care about our experience and really put in a lot of effort. We had the Garlic Parmesan Wings, AfroRibs, and the Tanjier Stew with a Whole Fried Red Snapper. Fresh Hibiscus Tea to drink. The three plates easily will make six to eight meals. The portions are very generous. Seriously, I hope youre hungry. The wings were huge and crispy. The garlic concoction on them is fermented which imparts a unique flavor Ive not had before. I usually pass over chicken wings but my wife likes them, so we ordered them. I couldnt stop myself. Theyre so delicious. The ribs made me feel like Korean royalty. Gochujang and sesame combined with a West African spice palette. Tender juicy meat on the bone and once again, very generous portions. Finally, Tangier Stew with a Whole Fried Snapper. They mean whole... as in eyeballs, bones, tail, head, all of it. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, just perfect. The Tanjier Stew is a peanut based soup that is similar to Thai Satay, but its thinner and savory rather than sweet. Its paired with garlic jasmine rice. My wife is not much of a rice fan, yet couldnt put down the spoon. The hibiscus tea is sweet but also spiced. It is non alcoholic and served cold, but somewhat reminded me of mulled red wine or German Gluhwein.I highly recommend this place. I added a photo which was taken after we had already started eating so keep in mind the portionsare bigger than the photo. My wife held out her hand for scale.Well definitely be back!

Pottery World Cafe

Food was great, yes. The man we had as our server was also wonderful. Reason I put 3 was because of the extremely horribly rude lady that is older with purple short hair (at the front when you walk in). PLEASE TRAIN HER TO HAVE SOME BASIC HUMAN RESPECT. It wasnt only me but my friends that were treated rudely. We just came in and asked one question about the dessert, she answered my question like I was one of the stupidest people shes seen and even got an eye roll while she was walking away. She ignored my friend entirely when she asked her a question. Again we simply walked in and got this treatment from this lady. She was extremely rude and condescending to us. If shes there Id rather not come again. Not worth being treated like that. Upset that we had to run into her again after our great waiter and food and experience that horrible personality again. Lady I hope you see this and someone talks to you about this because how you treat others is absolutely not okay. There is NO REASON you should be acting like that in public. Dont throw your mood and bad attitude at others.

My wife Karen Romano, treated me to dinner for my birthday, I chose this restaurant. I got really lucky their special tonight was cioppino. It was fantastic, I started with minestrone soup, then the cioppino with lots of clams, shrimp, mussels, scallops and fish that we both had enough left over for another meal. Then for dessert lemon sorbet. Thanks to Henry the owner/chef for a job very well done.

Izumi Japanese Restaurant
6840 Five Star Blvd #103, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
This is a friendly restaurant with good food and resonable prices. They offer 50% off sometimes on the sushi. The bento box comes with either 1, 2, or 3 entrees including miso soup, salad, cucumber, and a small wedge of orange and hot tea. I like the miso soup but they never have more than 2 very small pieces of tofu in it. The tempura comes with 1 piece of shrimp, eggplant, squash, carrot, onion, sweet potato and broccoli. The calamari katsu and the chicken or pork katsu is a decent portion . If you are going to try this restaurant go at lunch time, the price is reasonable and you can see if you like it.

Ph Vegan Asian Cuisine
6661 Stanford Ranch Rd E, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
We had the Filipino pancit, orange chicken, lemon grass tofu, and fried rice. The orange chicken veggie meat was rubbery & stale & sauce wasn't orange in color or in taste. The bell peppers and onion it was made with was barely cooked. Tastes like veggies and veggie meat was warmed in microwave & then doused with sauce. Lemon grass tofu was drowned with what tasted like the same sauce as “orange chicken” There was no lemongrass taste in the dish. Same deal with the veggies as in the orange chicken. Pancit was mostly onions with a sprinkle of thin noodles. It was not Filipino pancit in taste or texture. The fried rice was barely covered with/soy sauce. It was mostly white rather than the dark brown color you're used to seeing with fried rice. One good thing I have to say about this place is that the service was very friendly which is not common in Asian restaurants (in my experience)Good customer service not so good food.
