Pacific Café catered our event tonight, which was a grand opening for a women run business in San Clemente. In spite of this being a crazy day, I cannot go to bed tonight without singing the accolades of their catering service! The menu items were inventive, unique, and absolutely delicious. The chef came and set everything up with a beautiful visual display, which complemented the amazing taste of every item served. Every single person who attended this event raved about how delicious the food was. I am a self proclaimed foodie, and the variety and execution of these finger foods was amazing!….better than many 4&5 star restaurants that I have eaten in. if you are fortunate enough to book them for an event, you will not regret it! Thank you to Chef for making an amazing evening even more spectacular!

Cute new restaurant in San Juan Capistrano! We had great service from Lauren! We ordered drinks that were amazing! I had the Electric Avenue made with fresh strawberries and my husband had the guava margarita. The honey walnut shrimp and tom yum soup were amazing. The steak tips were so tender. Can’t wait to go back and try more things.
Five Vines Wine Bar
31761 Camino Capistrano #11, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
Summary: Not the cheapest wine bar, but a pretty good value. Great selection. Friendly and attentive staff, as long as you dont ask for water. Great cheese ball. Wifi didnt work and cell reception sucks, so hard to get discounts for checking in to FB, Instagram, etc. Parking in big lot next to train station. My wife and I went here with my Mom after doing a BOGO tasting at Hamilton Oaks and being disappointed. We saw that Five Vines was just down the road and made our way over. We found some parking in the large lot for the train station (which full, but we got lucky with a car leaving just as we arrived). We walked to the shop and down the stairs that lead to the tables. Its a small tasting area with a bar, a couple of longish tables, and a lounging couch section. The couches were the only thing available so thats where we sat. As we walked in, I noticed that there were $1 off discounts for checking in through various social media platforms and a wifi password just above it. Since cell reception was limited while being subterranean I was hopeful about staying connected through their wifi, but neither myself, my wife, or my Mom had any luck connecting. Oh well. After being seated, we were handed the tasting menus and told what the daily specials were. We perused through the pages inside and read the descriptions. You can either purchase a 2oz pour, a glass, or a bottle and all of the prices were right next to each wine. There were a number of flights available, but they were the same price as each of the glasses prices totaled up. After reading through, we made some selections and were soon sipping down our first round. The pours were decent sized. At a range of $4-$7 for 2oz, they should be. Glass prices are not super cheap either, but a decent value. We tried a variety of tastes, my Mom got a class, and my wife and I shared a flight. We also tried the homemade cheese ball and really enjoyed it. Highly recommended. As our tasting wound down we asked for waters from one of the servers, but they went behind the bar and forgot us. Then my Mom asked the other server, and he brought out one glass for the three of us. She asked for a refill and finally they got the hint that we all wanted to hydrate after trying a bunch of their wine. Really, it shouldnt have been that hard to deliver after the first request.Despite the difficulty attaining non-alcoholic fluids, we had a good time, spent a good chunk of money, but tried a good variety of wines. Wed likely come back and stick to the specials more since they are the better deals.
Ramos House Cafe
31752 Los Rios St, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
This place is not only delicious but definitely an experience. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in culture of this restaurant cant wait to come back and share with othersFrom the beginning you know its going to be an experience and it was hard for me to only slept two items from the menu. I ended up getting John soup and the bacon scrambler. I was very glad of my choices and definitely enjoyed both plates. When it comes to parking this is not the best restaurant so make sure you come way ahead of time so you dont run late. This place gets five stars from me!
Wowpoki - San Juan Capistrano
32118 Paseo Adelanto, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
This place is a well hidden gem. If you dont know about it, you will have trouble finding it. Its tucked away next to a locksmith and isnt obvious from either side. However, when you do finally get inside, this place is great. Its a big hole in the wall and kind of like the subway of poke, but the food is so worth it. You get a huge amount of fish thats super fresh, the toppings are all amazing, and its reasonable. Dont expect to come here for a drink and a nice sit down dinner, its not that kind of place. But if you just want some really good poke that wont break the bank, this is the place to go.

I really wanna give them 5 stars for everything !! But,cant because of very limited choices for vegans !! I used to be vegan first 17 years, now a vegetarian for 13 years & we just visited this wonderful Cafe yesterday with my family & a brother in law & their puppy !! They are ( my sis & her husband ) vegans & felt so bad that this cafe got rid of vegan sausages & vegan chocolate croissants that we were expecting to have there !!But,the staff were very friendly, great atmosphere & THE BEST CROISSANTS/ BAGUETTS Ive ever had in the last 10.years, or 20 years maybe !!! ?????☕️They were so~yummy !!! The croissant was so soft !! Mom had croissant with scramble eggs/ spinach inside, my sis had a vegan baguette sandwich w/ avocado ?( the very last one !! ), her husband wanted more protein than carbs, so I shared that with my sis besides my cinnamon butter crepe ! Which was so- good, very classy, sophisticated taste !!! I felt like I was in Paris !! They were super sweet to let us have a table inside with my sisters dog !!! Thank you very much !! I still highly recommend this cafe to everyone as their services & foods quality & being a very dog friendly cafe !!! They do have a vegan baguette sandwich ( if avocados run out, then it becomes super plain, but if you love breads / pastries, still yummy !! ) ! We really hope that theyll have a few more options for vegans, too !! Like vegan sausages or patties & vegan bean dish, either soup or salad, thatll be awesome. Of course their vegan chocolate croissants come back will be great, too !! We all loved the atmosphere/ services !! My sister & her husband loved their coffee, though !! They told me it was a very good coffee !! Mom enjoyed her croissant sandwich very, very much, too !!
The Ecology Center
32701 Alipaz St, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
If you love strawberries, the strawberries here are, in my opinion, the best in Orange County. They also sell other organic fruits and vegetables. You might find it pricy compared to the grocery store, so be prepared to pay a little more. The Ecology Center hosts special events, you can check for them. Sometimes they have a pick your own strawberries day, we watch for that day. Not so expensive and fun for the kids. A great place to get big, sweet strawberries for a special occasion. This is further info on the Ecology Center.I am deeply disappointed in their move to to put buildings on the farm. Most of the locals are, since we voted on and paid for open space and the City has been eroding that for years. The Ecology Center, and how ironic is their name, wants to put 169 housing unit on 35 acres of land. Many of us have been increasingly unhappy with the Center, and now we know why. This is in direct conflict with what citizens want. There are three schools right there, the traffic is terrible, and this impacts the community in so many negative ways.We are bombarded by global climate change warnings, yet the cities continue to destroy open space in favor of expensive homes and strip malls. Since government has to approve this kind of unchecked building, why are we responsible for their poor choices? Many of us attended to ask that question. If we dont stand up, if we remain the Silent Majority, if we stand still they will put a building on top of us. Please be heard. We need what open space we have left to remain open space. Those of you familiar with the building going out the Ortega Highway know what Im talking about. Its the last of our true open space. Its home to our deer, mountain lions and a variety of other species. The various levels of government holding out global warming in one hand and hiding a hammer in the other has to end. They have an obligation to be environmentally responsible, not just to raise taxes and tell us what we have to do to protect the planet. If they wont stop destroying what open space we have left, and if its not done globally, we are just whistling past the graveyard.Im sorry if anyone sees this as a political rant, and I guess in a way it is. I want our grandchildren to have something left to see and enjoy. The so called Ecology Center is a wolf in sheeps clothing, and I thought you should know.If you are concerned, please comment to the San Juan Capistrano City Hall, 32400 Paseo Adelanto, San Juan Capistrano, CA, 92675Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Plaza de Magdalena
31781 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
We held a memorial service for our son at Plaza de Magdalena and we were extremely pleased with the venue, the staff, and the food. Lisa was our contact for arranging the details and was friendly, efficient, and extremely pleasant to work with. The cost was very reasonable for all that was provided by the venue. There was no need to order the chairs, tables, linens, and sound equipment. All was provided by the venue and made our experience much less work and strain. The chairs were beautiful chiavari chairs and they had tables in different shapes and sizes to meet our needs. The items provided were of excellent quality and made for a beautiful, relaxing, and pleasant environment. Lisa was there during the event to oversee that we were happy with every detail. Our media presentation was aided by Orlando who ran the equipment during the event and happily agreed to a trial run the day before. The staff was happy to be of help when we requested the tables be rearranged. And they even provided extra fresh baked cookies when needed. This is an attractive and very well run and staffed venue. The food was excellent. The costs were very reasonable given the caliber of the facility and the location. We highly recommend Plaza de Madalena in downton San Juan Capistrano and thank their gracious staff for helping us celebrate our sons life in a beautiful and relaxing setting.
