We were really happy with how small the menu was here. It took us 5 minutes to figure out what to eat.Drinks:My wife got the young coconut drink. It was fresh and delicious served in an actual coconut with a cute blue parasol.I got the mango lassi which wasn't too sweet and reminded me of orange juice but mango flavored.Appetizer:We ordered the coconut chicken palatha as our appetizer. The palatha was nice and flaky. The coconut curry was delicious.Entrees:For our entrees we got the lemongrass pork (medium). The snap peas were perfectly crunchy. And the fiery chicken (hot). It was the perfect level to of spicy where it clears your sinuses but without overpowering the taste of the food.Sides:For our sides we got coconut rice. It was perfectly cooked, had a lovely coconut aroma, and was sweet but not too sweet. And biryani rice. It smelled like cinammon and other delightful aromatic spices.Combo Tastes:Both rices on their own tasted delicious but combined was somehow even better. We felt the lemongrass chicken was best on its own and the fiery chicken was best combined with the two rices. One appetizer, one entree, and two bowls of rice is probably enough for two people but we don't eat too much when we go out these days.We brought about half of the entrees and rice home with us for later.TLDR:Get the coconut chicken palatha, fiery chicken (hot), and mix the coconut rice and biryani together.

1/10/18Wanting to try somewhere new for lunch over the weekend, the boyfriend and I stopped in the Park n Shop plaza near home and noticed the picture on the outside wall of Stix: curry in a bread bowl. It was a drizzly day and we were both getting over colds, so a hot bread bowl meal wasn't a hard decision to make – comfort food! We told our server that it was our first time there and Ko T filled us in on the mostly family-style eating and large dish portions.Even with this information, we totally over-ordered! A complimentary bowl of soup started us off and it was delicious! Chicken satay ($10) was our favorite dish. Really nicely season chicken on skewers and a subtle peanut sauce that didn't over-power any of the other flavors. Shrimp balls ($6) was our least favorite. Kind of chewy, rubbery balls of fish? We washed these down with a couple of Thai iced teas ($4 each in a large mason glass) then sampled the chicken wings ($6), which were good, but not quite as good as the boneless skewers. A large portion of fried calamari ($10) was a hit, though it seems slightly overbreaded. The meat was still tender though – fried to perfection! Finally, the yellow curry chicken bread bowl ($10) which we barely broke into with all the other plates. It was delicious though and the bread was fresh and complimented the sweet flavors of the curry.Service was great and the food was good with large portions. I'd totally go back and order the satay and bread bowl again.

Great selection of imported Asian grocery items. My friends and I frequently go here for the dim sum lunch counter. The dim sum is good, large portions and very cheap, but otherwise unremarkable. Good for a quick, cheap fill up. The Pork Sung Rolls in the bakery are one of my favorite treats - soft, fresh bread rolled around shredded dried pork, reconstituted with mayo and BBQ flavor, with green onions added. There are also lots of interesting imported snacks and my friends and I like to try new ones each time we visit. The black sesame wafer cookies are among our favorites and are often on sale for about $1.00 per package.Hint: if you go during lunch or any other busy time, parking is MUCH easier to find ~behind~ the store.EDIT: 07/10/19 - the dim sum lunch menu has changed dramatically several months ago - most of my pictures are of items no longer on the lunch menu. For some reason, several months ago, this location changed out almost its entire dim sum lunch menu. I went here with a friend in the evening about a week ago and most of what used to be the lunch menu was being served in the evening. Hoping that they had brought back the menu for the entire day, we visited again at lunch time during the week only to find that it was still the modified lunch menu. Huge disappointment. We used to go here 3 or 4 times a month for lunch - we still go here, but now its just for the snacks and bakery items. They also changed their bakery menu - no more pork sung buns and no more cream buns. I have no idea why they got rid of those items and shifted their dim sum lunch menu, but it was very disappointing. 4 stars minus one star for those unexplained decisions.
