Do Sit Thai Cuisine
1520 Palos Verdes Mall, Walnut Creek, CA 94597, United States
This is my go to restaurant for good yellow curry chicken ($10.95). The chicken and potatoes are always melt in your mouth tender. Although this particular dish comes with cucumber salad, do not expect much. When getting this dish to go, the salad comes in a condiment container (you know, the kind you pump ketchup or mustard in) . I also enjoy Dosits peanut sauce (for $4 extra surcharge). I try not to get the rice because the yellow curry dish already comes with potatoes; just be aware that there is a surcharge for rice (whereas some Thai restaurants include it). I also love their Thai ice tea ($4). All in all, Ive never been disappointed with my meals here.

This place is not consistent with there food sometimes the food is good sometimes its awful . So I complained two times about the same thing my rice. I also spoke to the owner, and she brought it upon herself to prepare my food...”it was worst.” I topically would stick to the same order most of the time shrimp fried rice and the orange chicken, now the problem I had with the rice most of the time was it was overly cooked with egg shells, with the orange chicken sometimes the pieces would either be to big or there wouldnt be enough orange sauce leaving the chicken dry.... Mind you that I have been going to this location on and off for years, spending at least $40-$65 each time. One thing I do know is they change off chefs, but either way its not fair to us customers(.) Also If you complain they will refuse your business. Be aware of what Im letting you know about this Bussiness- save your time & $$$.

Started off my evening with a cocktail and I am fond of coconut rum, so I chose to order the INDOMEX which has a Mezcal, coconut ? rum, pineapple ? juice, lime, juice, and agave. Can you say Yum I loved it. ? my partner loves spicy. I'm not too fond of it so they ordered the spicy Putera Naga in which has a salsa, tequila, fire, tincture, lychee, dragon fruit, and lime juice. They were very happy with their drink. Just look at the ingredients. Need you say more. Yum Yum.Started dinner off with a SATAY of Tiger Prawns ? . They were colossal, seasoned to perfection and delicious ? !!!Moving onto the main course of our meal I am a huge seafood ? Fan so I ended up ordering the chili, Dungeness crab. The seasoning was amazing. The smell was divine. My taste buds were just absolutely going crazy, and I even had to compose myself over not making a full of myself and wanting to suck down all the and all it was that good. The pineapple salad that came with it I thought was not going to go well with it but I must say it was very complementary to the dish itself. And although I was absolutely stuffed by the appetizer and the dinner, who doesn't have room for dessert. I'm a huge chocolate fan, but I decided to go with the carrot cake and boy am I glad I did the environment the food, the ambience, the service, the drinks it was all just amazing, and that's why I give this place five stars will I come back again absolutely for sure

TL;DR - Decent food. Decent prices. Absolutely ABYSMAL service.Full disclosure, I was in the service industry for 13 years so, my perspective may be skewed a bit. That said, I personally believe that my experience grants me an understanding of what is and isn't a reasonable failure in a service experience. This was a COMEDY of errors from the moment we sat down.We came for brunch on a Saturday that wasn't particularly busy but not slow either. There was no wait but few empty tables. We were sat at a small booth near the bar where the manager was sitting working on a laptop. I figured since she was sitting in view of us, she was at least on some level supervising her staff. We only waited a couple minutes for someone to ask us for drinks. We asked a few questions, he had no answers, just a frozen stare. We asked him for a coffee and an appetizer but, apparently this gentleman was just for water, which he promptly brought but, everything else we asked for was forgotten the second he stepped away. The server arrived later and were able to order our entrees and clarify everything else. She seemed intermittently confused but competent enough for a brunch shift I suppose. I made the mistake of ordering drip coffee here despite the warnings of my companion and quickly regretted my decision. Moving on...The appetizer came out and the cocktails quickly after both being brought out by different people indicating an efficient team service environment. Good times. The fun began about twelve minutes later when the FIRST entree came out. A young man came out of nowhere, dropped an entree on the table and disappeared without a word in seconds flat. It took us a minute to diagnose the food and decide whose it was. About 3-4 minutes passed before the next entree came out, delivered as silently and quickly as the first. This one was easily identifiable as a steak. A steak I had no knife for of course. I did my best with my butter knife for the next few minutes as we looked around for our server so we could ask for the several things that were forgotten in addition to the knife. I saw our server busy taking an order from a six top. I began to wave at the four staffers standing around the manager at the bar. Nothing. At this point, I had the displeasure of tasting, arguably, the most bland ribeye Ive ever had. It almost defied belief. Unfortunately, all I could do is watch it get colder on my plate. Eventually, I got up and asked someone to please come to my table. One server came and did her best to fix what was wrong but, by this point all our food was cold and were in no mood to wait for new food to be prepared. Eventually, our server came back, we sent back the steak and we just finished our remaining food. After chatting with the manager at the bar, our server offered us a free dessert which we politely declined. She cleared everything off but the water and still never offered us a check. After a while, I just asked for it and paid.We were charged for everything except the steak which was fine I guess but, what floored me was the manager. SHE NEVER MOVED. She was still sitting at the bar looking only at her laptop. I can honestly say that I made it painfully clear how unhappy we were but she never moved a muscle. Service 101 - If you have an unsatisfied client that isnt asking for anything and has declined your inadequate reconciliation attempt (free dessert), MAYBE stop by the table at least? Maybe even investigate a bit and find out if there is anything you can do differently? Amazing. This was a failure on several levels but it was clear that this was top down incompetence. We wont be back.Oh yeah, GORGEOUS spot, inside and out. I loved the aesthetic.
