Naturewell Juice & Smoothies

I have recently been stationed here after the recent earthquake. The last 10 years I have only been eating 100% vegan / organic foods. I have only been eating organic foods especially fruits and veggies. During my long hot days I don't feel like having a full meal or salad and a smoothie or juice hits the spot.I ordered the açaí bowl and a ginger wellness shot and it became my daily routine . Place is clean, friendly and the fresh juice made on the spot is best I have had in years. I replace the natural agave for dates in my smoothies, but that's just meThey carryLions MaineMacaLucumaChlorophyllFresh datesSpirulinaCacao nibsHemp proteinFresh almond butter made on the spotI try to mix it up every time I go

So very good. Everything. Its all good. I loved the brussel sprout taco and the jackfruit carnitas taco, they were the real surprise highlight. The asada, pastor and chicharron were all very good too. I like the salsas a lot. They are very generous with sides of limes, radishes and this bag of spicy cucumbers and onions and peppers that was so delicious I couldnt stop eating them. They have different specials all the time and very active on instagram. Go check em out, you wont be disappointed.

O Happy Days Cafe
2283 Lake Ave, Altadena, CA 91001, United States
My daughter and I drove to Altadena from LA just 13 miles to Oh happy days Store and cafe. All vegie menu and mostly organic. this place is unique with all wooden shelving cooler amd tables. its a very country atmosphere. there is parking in the back and a few spots in front of the store. John is the owner cook and server. my daughter says its a very distinct home cooking with a southern flare. the next time I come in for a little extra and try really yummy yams. Its really an entree with pinto beans and steamed greens for only $5.50 which my daughter had. I had celestial hummus made with garbonzos and tahini plus salad and whole wheat pita bread. Again just $5.50. my granddaughter have a chance please for only a dollar and 50 cents . so a complete meal and drink for less than 7 dollars. there is some African arts and wooden sculptures. we really enjoyed our food and this will be our favorites place. before we left bought some coconut, soup broth, bulk herbs and supplements.what a great way to eat or shop.

Prime Pizza
1900 Allen Ave, Altadena, CA 91001, United States
This place is WHACKKKKKK.Walked in all pleasant-like excited to try this place, and Andrew was behind the counter with a sour look on his face and doesnt greet me at all. I said Hey there! Its my first time here, so Im taking a look at the menu and the pizzas you have displayed to get an idea. He doesnt say oh hey thanks for coming in or welcome, lemme know if you have any questions, or anything. Just walks away rudely. So I have to deal with a garlic allergy, and wanted to try one of their square pizzas, cuz i love a chewy crispy oily crusted pizza. Keep in mind these are $30+ for a pizza, not counting tax and tip. This isnt a cheap joint like little Cesars where they just sell ready made pizzas, but even Little Cesars is willing to customize a pizza if youre willing to wait. Prime pizza makes everything fresh to order. They informed me that their regular tomato sauce is the only sauce that doesnt have garlic. Perfect, right? Nope. The manager named Andrew flat out refused to sub the garlic tomato sauce that they use for the square pizzas, for the non-Garlic tomato sauce. His reasoning was oh its policy because pricing is different blah blah. BULLSHIT.I said no worries Ill pay $10 extra for the other sauce. After i offered to pay well above and beyond the price difference between the 2 sauces, his reply contradicted his first statement of pricing being the issue, and said No we cant do it, its against our policy. Like, what?Ridiculous honestly. I even tried joking around with the guy saying like hey, I wont tell anyone, just accidentally put the non-Garlic sauce on it by mistake! The dude has the worst customer service etiquette Ive ever seen, and has let the minuscule amount of power he has managing a pizza shop, go to his head. What a power tripping idiot. I told him its a stupid policy, and left.I even called him back after I left, thinking that maybe this guy thought I was asking for a slice sized piece with different sauce, since I was looking at the pizzas sold by the slice. His reply? No, Im aware you were willing to order a new full pizza to take home. We dont care, its against our policy.Ive never heard a more asinine policy.

We did not have a very long search until we found our wedding venue. ATCC was the 3rd location we looked at and it was like love at first sight. We immediately knew it was the venue for us. We wanted a garden wedding with exceptional staff and fairly priced, and ATCC beyond delivered. We were lucky enough to have worked with Sandy the director of events. We feel we got to know her very well over the months that we worked together given that our original wedding date was postponed due to the pandemic. Along the way she was incredibly understanding, insightful and helpful! At the end of our wedding journey we really felt like Sandy was like family. She is such an incredible person and if you get to work with her you will see what we mean! She has a very nurturing and calm about her that just makes you feel like everything will be okay! ATCCs preferred vendor list is TOP-NOTCH...5 of our vendors were from that list which made wedding planning much easier and we were VERY happy with each of these vendors. Photographers: Kella Photography, Florist: Phyllis Hillier, Wedding planner: Sean Baik, Officiant: Pastor Alexander Norman, DJ: Tommy OSullivan. ATCC is a gorgeous venue and the grounds have really cute areas tucked away for your first look or post-ceremony photos. Our wedding guests raved about the food and the service provided by the wait staff. The waitstaff were truly EXCEPTIONAL!!! They were always there to help with beverages, they made sure the kids were doing well and checking in a few times. Professionalism and hospitality at its finest! They really helped take our wedding to the next level.Since we had to have a socially distanced wedding due to the pandemic, we were unable to have a cocktail hour, dance party or have our reception indoors. Our ceremony took place on the south lawn and reception dinner was on the veranda. Everything was picturesque and more perfect than we could have ever imagined.A special thanks to Sandy, Teana and Bree

We love their food and vibe, even the plates and all the decor are all well thought out, carefully curated. Their food is generally good, we tried Thai fried rice (full of flavor), Som Tam (delicious and I like that they added carrots and Thai eggplants, but not savory enough for my liking), Rad Na (love how they scorched the noodle to the point the edges of the noodles were crispy); Pad Thai (when they were very new it was more savory but now it's rather sweet. We prefer it less sweet but I like the chives and chewy noodles. I liked it better with crispy pork bits—more unique that way too). Thai tea was good. Not too sweet, strong flavor.Service is decent but this place is pretty small and can get very busy so I think their level of service is reasonable. It's hard to tend to people when there's a lot going on.Overall very clean and we love what they did to represent Thai culture and yet add their own twist here and there. The only thing that really disappointed us was the automatic service charge of 18% that's not up front. With how busy it can get, it's hard to pay attention to what's going on. We didn't notice the service charge and added tip as usual when the tip screen came on. We asked for the receipt later and realized there was a service charge and we paid “additional tip.”We will go back and we enjoy this place; just remember the service fee is included. For transparency, it should be clearly visible, front and center on their menu and the screen or even mention it verbally when you order.

Tacos Don Pillo
2291 Lincoln Ave, Altadena, CA 91001, United States
I like the food consumed more, the tongue or lip tacos have flavorThe problem is when you order takeout at first they dont take the order well and the new employees barely add the stew. I bought 4 tacos de labio and they only put 3 pieces of meat in each one. It has more onion and cilantro than meat, apart from that, cheap, cheap, no. they are …..When it comes to calling the restaurant and ordering, they just dont answer the phones!!! I think the owners should pay attention to their employees when serving food otherwise they will lose many customers!!!!!!!!

Super Burger

Food was fine. The lady at the counter is very rude. Snapped at me get away from the counter. Even though we were both wearing masks. After we got our order. We sat at a table outside of their stand and started eating. The same lady shouts out the window you cant eat here go away. To which I had no response before we could pack up our 13 dollar combo, her son was standing over us. I told him please tell your mother she should learn how to speak to her customers. It was rude. He immediately started cursing at me saying no your rude. My male co-worker, An ex marine immediately started yelling back at him. As I walked back to the car. I wanted no part of the scene. The two men were shouting back and forth at one another . The son started video taping my friend as he walked back to my car. Then I who was not involved at all was also taped. Luckily the old man came to get his son so we drove off. Luckily it didnt escalate into anything physical. I think its a sign of the times. Maybe they have experienced discrimination as Asian Americans before which is why it escalated so quickly to a shouting match. Either way it made me sad I wasted money patronizing a mom and pop shop instead of an In and out burger only to be talked to like a dog after combined, spending 30 on a couple burgers and soggy fries. This should never be the new normal. Bad customer service is never acceptable.

Amara Kitchen

Great little restaurant! A friend of mine recommended the Highland Park location, so I was exited to try out the one coming to ‘dena! The line was short, the place was really clean and pretty, all of the employees kept their social distance and wore masks, and the bathrooms were really nice. All of the food was absolutely delicious, almost all of it is vegetarian all though there are some meat options, and everything is locally sourced! The orange juice tasted like someone was squeezing an actual orange into my mouth. There are no outdoor seating options yet, so my mother and I walked over to triangle park and they texted us when the food was ready. Overall, excellent experience, 10/10 would recommend, felt totally COVID safe, and the food was delicious!

Fair Oaks Burger

This family-run restaurant has a much larger menu inside than what you see from the drive-through. You can tell this place has its regular and the staff make sure to remember everyone. The food is pretty standard fast food fair but is very tasty and they have some vegetarian options, as well as vegan cheese.
