The Den on Sunset - West Hollywood Restaurant &...

Worst place to dine! Now I know why this place was the only place in weho with available reservations. What started off as a great time ended up the worst experience/ service We have ever had! We were about $400 in and could of gone on if it wasn't for the horrible service we got. Our waitress gave us attitude and did not want to switch our game out. We asked for the manager and that was a big mistake. The manager is so ghetto and unprofessional. First words out of her/his mouth was “what's the problem” with its head up ready for its mug shot. An attitude like ready to fight someone. I hope the owner finds out what TRASH they have running the place. The manager kept telling us that was his/her restaurant like it owned the place. All we had asked for was a different game so we can continue having a great time. We felt very harassed and threatened so we waited outside. The manager was having trouble running our card. We caught it taking a picture of our card and refused to give us a receipt. And then It accused us of not wanting to pay even though we were standing in front of the restaurant waiting for our receipt. After the manager figured out what it got wrong and was able to finally do it's job right started to harass us as we left throwing kisses to us. I hope the owner finds out how bad their business is being ran! So much disrespect towards good paying customers and especially to the owner!

Harvest Bowl / chicken, sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese, roasted almonds, wild rice, kale, balsamic vinaigrette - 5 ?!I am a sweetgreen harvest bowl disciple. It really is a wonderful meal that if I had to, I could eat every day and it would take a long time to get tired of it. It is well balanced, filling, healthy, and most importantly- very, very tasty.Sweetgreen is slowly expanding out, and they have quite a few LA locations already. This one is on Sunset Blvd in Silver Lake. They have a small parking lot but it is very easy to miss. The people are friendly and helpful. The dining room area and attached patio are great and have a lot of people watching potential.Overall, as I try to move towards a healthier lifestyle, I am grateful for a place like sweetgreen, and I hope they continue to grow and succeed.

The Butchers Daughter
8755 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069, United States
I was a skeptical meat eater on my walk here but Im leaving plump and happy. The cheese selection used in the dishes - we had burrata, bianca verdi pizza and pesto pasta - was really delightful. I loved the use of seasonal vegetables in their dishes to give a vibrancy to the dishes but also to just taste of the moment. Our server D. was a smiley and welcoming charmer. She was patient and honest with me (remember, Im a skeptical meat eater haha) while being the busiest bee at the restaurant. She led me to the burrata for a starter and the affogato for dessert. The restaurant fees natural with plenty of wood and soft wood bathed in natural light as well as softly illuminating lamps. There are also plants everywhere so they kinda pulled at my heart strings there anyway.Overall: Solid pick in West Hollywood for nutritious and scrumptious vegetarian food.

The Indian Kitchen
8165 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046, United States
Im very impressed of this location greeting service and seating arrangements absolutely beautiful on the inside please do not hesitate and check this location now I went ahead and got the fish Tandoori and garlic naan and some rice Next time you show up youll probably want to try a different seating arrangement because they give you pillows where you sit and yiu just cant help yourself on trying another seat. You will be back. Its pretty interesting to say the least. An average glass of wine there is $7 very affordable for wine tasting if you felt like it. Also they have a beer there called the Taj Mahal which is also $7 since a. Its a little bit taller than all the other bottles of beer go ahead and give it a try. You will not be disappointedThank you to the Indian Kitchen for showing me love and respect.Kudos and respect back in your directionPros: Amazing Service and an affordable menu to order off of.Cons: Absolutely none

Le Petit Four

I think this is about the best French restaurant in California or perhaps the US. This was not the intended destination, but my friend and I were extremely glad that we went, since were Francophiles!! They feature classically French dishes, but also Italian, making it a bit of fusion cuisine. Okay, a mojito is not French, but it was one of the best I have had in a very long time! I stuck to French cuisine. Started with soup a lonion. Delicious! A lot of gruyere and the right amount of onions, bread and soup. Next were the escargots in olive oil with a lot of garlic! Yum! Main course was the mussels! Those had to be the largest, most succulent mussels I have ever had! They came with fries, but you really didnt need them. I brought them home. Last was the Napoleon or mille feuille. Creamy! There were three layers: one with just the cream, second with strawberries, and the last with nuts. Wow! Never had one like that! The proprietor was very kind. He brought us our drinks and was very kind when we spoke to him in French. Wait staff was very courteous and we felt no pressure to eat and leave. To show how good this place was, we ended up sitting next to a well known French actor. My friend recognized him first. They say that if people of the same nationality as the restaurant dine there, its usually a compliment to the restaurant and a testament of the food. Well, that may be so, but we Francophiles will definitely be dining again at this restaurant! Merci beaucoup!

I came here with a group of friends a few weeks ago and WOW. I was so impressed.First off, the atmosphere is BEAUTIFUL. Extremely well designed space, down to the cutlery and accents on the table.Service was lovely! Very friendly and I loved their uniforms, just adds to the space in general. And now… THE FOOD. Let me lead with the fact that I’m vegan. I’ll be honest, I was not expecting much because this is a French restaurant and historically, these are restaurants I typically get a salad with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar and side of bread. Well… the bread is delicious. BUT I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they can modify their vegetarian tasting menu to be FULLY VEGAN. And wow did they commit. Every single dish I had that evening was full of flavor, innovation, and creativity. I had a few favorites— the beet tartar & the kohlrabi steak with sun choke chips are still on my mind.Overall this was a GREAT experience. If you’re vegan you will be taken care of. If you’ve got vegan friends, they will not feel left out of the experience.

Sals Place (at old Il Piccolino)
350 N Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90048, United States
My husband and I discovered this place when we moved to the neighborhood last year, and this is our go-to date spot. We most recently went last weekend. The food is high quality, simple ingredients, cooked perfectly. Honestly, we eat vegetarian throughout the week, and then if we choose to indulge, we go here. The dover sole and veal with sage are exquisite. The restaurant also has nice touches like bruschetta on the house and a caramel dessert with the check. Service, great. People, great. Everyone seems to know each other, and a lot of them do. I will definitely be coming here long enough to one day say the same. Perfect for: more advanced date night, family dinner. They almost always can squeeze you in around 8:30 day of if you forgot to make a reservation in advance, which I also really appreciate.
