HANOI KITCHEN VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT

I was thrilled to find a Vietnamese restaurant close to the Claremont Village! Great service, ambience, and food. I had the regular egg rolls (the Hanoi Crispy Rolls werent available on my first visit) and grilled pork rice platter. Lovely flavors! Ive since had the Banh MI and the aforementioned Hanoi egg rolls. Have not had a disappointing experience here. It is definitely my new go-to!

It is kinda strange for me at first. My bf takes me here to try Yen Ta Fo which I hadn’t heard of before. I have eaten Thai food a lot ( Pad Thai or Tom Yum Soup) but not this one. The soup brings a full flavor just like Vietnamese soup.It is hard to find Yen Ta Fo in other Thai restaurant.

BACK TO FIVE STARS!!!Customer service was quick to answer my email with instructions how to navigate the new app and everything worked again so I'm putting back the 5 stars.Thank you 85 Degrees!!!UPDATE!Management put an updated version of the app so after downloading, I can't log on to my account anymore. There's no way and all my points are gone.It appears I'm not the only one, almost everyone who downloaded the new app have the same problem. It appears all our points are gone and that's a terrible marketing ploy. This review will remain until management fixes all issues.Best Value !!!My “GO TO” bakery cafe, 100%.Highly recommend for Birthdays, Anniversaries, special occasions or just wanting to enjoy a good snack. They offer a wide range of cakes and pastries and the flavors and very good on the palette, never overpowering.Personally, I recommend ordering different 6-8 slices of cakes and assemble them to make a round cake; this makes it more colorful and people can share different flavors.Their rewards program is solid and they take good care of loyal customers.

This place has good food and big portions, however that doesnt excuse the complete lack of professionalism and disregard for their customers. The many times Ive been here, I have experienced bad customer service, but it has just been annoying more than anything. Tonight I had a completely horrible experience, and I regret to say this was the last time I will eat here. They had a herd of people behind the counter and a line of about 5-7 people (myself included) yet only two people were helping customers. The others were gossiping with two girls that were sitting at the side of the counter as if it was a mini bar. The things they were talking about were rude and vulgar, completely unprofessional. Once the line grew a little longer, the two girls that were gossiping with the other ones decided to help some of the customers. One girl was helping the guy in front of me and when he requested steamed rice, she decided that would be a great opportunity for her to walk back to where the steamed rice is, and start gossiping with the girls sitting at the counter/mini bar. He just stood there, as confused as I was probably that she would think it a good time to go talk to her friend. The girls sitting there were not on the clock btw, Im not even sure they were employees. After she was done talking, she finally finished serving the guys food, and now it was my turn.I stood there for a couple minutes waiting for one of them to take my order as this herd of people were walking around, back and forth doing god knows what, looking at me, then each other.. My patience was really running thin at this point. Finally one lady takes my order, as she is taking my order she says something to one of the girls that was gossiping, who was serving somebody in back of me. I didnt understand what the lady said to her because it was in Chinese or whatever they speak, but I did understand what the younger girl replied.. She said something to the effect of I dont care, I dont care who voted or whatever. Right when she said that I knew she was referring to me as today is ELECTION DAY, and I was still wearing my I voted sticker. Regardless of her completely unprofessional, unpatriotic ignorant comment, I held my tongue and stretched whatever last bit of patience I had til the end of my transaction.I am deeply disappointed that this person would make such a comment. It is every American Citizens duty to go out and vote, thats why it is called a Democracy, thats how this country works. And being that it is a Democracy is the reason they get to have their restaurant and speak their language and celebrate their heritage. There is absolutely no excuse for they way they treat people, and no need to make such inflammatory comments.I know this is a long review but I just want to encompass my experience and explain why, although I do enjoy the food/portions, I will not be returning here. I really hope they start treating their customers more respectfully because without customers any business will suffer. This place was never as bad when it comes to customer service, the younger girls I saw working there tonight had really bad attitudes, as if the feel they are above everyone else.
