Sit Lo Saigon
424 G St, Davis, CA 95616, United States
Sit Lo Saigon in Downtown Sacramento offers a delightful dining experience with a nice ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable meal. The restaurants interior creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for catching up with friends or enjoying a tasty meal with loved ones. The star of the show at Sit Lo Saigon is undoubtedly their delicious ramen. Bursting with flavor and served piping hot, the ramen bowls are a treat for the taste buds. Whether youre a ramen aficionado or new to this dish, you wont be disappointed by the rich and savory broth, accompanied by perfectly cooked noodles and a delectable array of toppings. While the food and ambiance are top-notch, its worth noting that Sit Lo Saigon can get a bit loud during busy hours. This lively atmosphere can add to the overall experience for some, but if you prefer a more serene setting, it might not be the ideal choice during peak times.Despite the noise, I wholeheartedly recommend Sit Lo Saigon for its delightful ambiance and mouthwatering ramen. Its an excellent spot to savor authentic Vietnamese flavors and enjoy a lively dining experience. Just be sure to plan your visit accordingly, considering your noise tolerance and the time of day to make the most of your dining experience.
Noodle House
1022 N Davis Rd, Salinas, CA 93907, United States
This is a small chinese, vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall. Very attentive service. There is a lot of selection, very surprising considering the size of the restaurant. I enjoyed my meal very much oh, I did choose Vietnamese food as that is my favorite. The prices are extremely reasonable. I would recommend this place if you are alone or with a group.
Pho King 4
226 3rd St, Davis, CA 95616, United States
Visited in middle of July, new to Davis and hoping to get a decent Asian meal for a late lunch. We came here because it was rated 4 stars but we realized afterwards that the star standards must be lower at Davis than the Bay Area for Asian food.It was a very hot day, in the high 90s°F and the place had no AC, just few floor coolers, so the place was warm at best and hot to be real. Flies were frequent visitors to our table.Service was slow and inattentive. We had to wave down wait staff whenever we needed something, and had to ask for the check at the end.We ordered basic, typical Vietnamese menu items, nothing fancy, and were gravely disappointed in the quality and flavors of the food. Bahn Mi sandwich was served on a dried out bun and was poorly constructed with the contents barely filling the bun. The pho broth had a weird and sour taste. The beef noodle saute had no flavor. The only saving grace was the mixed BBQ plate, the meats were decently grilled and flavored but nothing else on the platter was remarkable. The milk tea with boba was a huge disappointment, if not scary. First, the drink definitely had an off flavor and odor, like spoiling dairy, yikes! Second, the boba pearls were so old and had the texture of hard gummy balls. Overall the drinks were unpalatable and inedible. This experience was so bad I dont know if Id chance another visit in case the cook was on vacation when we visited?

Very glad to have a solid Vietnamese restaurant here in Davis. The banh mi is solid and the egg rolls are amazing!

Tasty Gourmet
2880 5th St #125, Davis, CA 95618, United States
This place is one of those rare establishments that when you go, you feel like family. The ladies there are very, very, very sweet. My 8 year old nephew, while eating, said I love the service here! My mom, dad, sister and her kids, me and my kids and my husband came for dinner. The sweet ladies served my children, made sure everyone had food on their plates, bribed my littlest to eat so he could have a cookie, and were just too freaking nice. The food, though. Where do I begin? Oh, the shrimp and string beans! My 10 year old son ate the whole thing and we had to grab some quick to get any! He HATES green beans. He kept commenting on how he hates green beans, and he was talking about how good the green beans were until he fell asleep later that night ?The duck was perfect. Oh! The bokchoy with mushrooms! I cant even explain how delicious it was.If you dont know what youre in the mood for, or if you dont know what to try, these ladies have some really good recommendations, too. Like the Mongolian beef. Mmmmm.Go ahead and make yourself some new family and give Tasty Gourmet a try. You will not be disappointed.Sorry, no pictures - we ate too fast!
Kims Mart
628 4th St, Davis, CA 95616, United States
An excellent little grocery store for those who need their Asian specialty foods. The meats & vegetables are fresh, the shelves are well stocked & Kims also makes fresh meals daily at excellent prices. For a fraction of the price of other stores, you can get real lemongrass, bags of mung or soy sprouts. They have a range of teas, and the snack aisle is full of tasty treats from Japan. Its one of my favorite stores & a place I have brought visiting students to do they can get a little slice of home while in Davis.
My Burma
500 1st St #11, Davis, CA 95616, United States
Burma Eat is seriously great. The food is of excellent quality and there really isnt anything like it in town. Im so glad that Davis has a restaurant like this because it is a complete breath of fresh air to the food scene here.Burma Eat is serves up Burmese food (obviously). If youre wondering what kind of dishes and flavors there are here, think a fusion of Thai, Indian, and other Asian tastes. The food is infused with a good amount of spice and flavor to really tantalize your taste buds. Many of the dishes have some spicy heat to them. One of my favorite items is the mint chicken. With a name like that you might think it has a minty fresh taste. Well... not really. The jalapeños.. in the dish really shine and give it a kick. Its not over the top hot, but the sizzle is there. I personally love it and get this dish any time I can.If youre looking for something lighter, there are a variety of salad options to try. The salads are also unique here. Youre not going to find your traditional Cobb or Caesar. The salads are particularly good on hot Davis days when you can eat at their shaded patio. The menu has a ton of optionss and Im sure youll find something to enjoy when you visit. From noodle dishes to items that go great with rice (like the tender eggplant I had for lunch), there are many things choose from.Burma Eat is a little pricier than your traditional college town food. It took over the old Mikonos location before they moved a few store fronts down. The pricing is similar. Its well worth it for the quality and unique tastes that you find here!
Lees Donuts
1252 Davis St, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States
Stumbled upon this place as I was near by and craving some sweets. It was near 3ish so I didnt have high hopes that many selections were available. However to my surprise there were still donut holes! Even your classic sugar glazed donuts. Nothing fancy but definitely support your local mom and pop shops! Scored myself a dozen of donut holes and a classic custard filled sugar glazed donut! Thank you to the kind young fella working and giving me a few extra donut holes.
