I love it that we have a Vietnamese restaurant in Novato! We were fans of theirs when they were in Corte Madera and are just thrilled to have them in our hometown. Their chicken& shrimp pho was very good! Go give them a try!

This is a new addition to the Novato area and my family was excited to try it! My wife loves the SF one so I was looking forward to it. I really like the Emeryville style food court and was hoping this would hold a candle to it.When we arrived, it was INSANELY busy. However its a brand new spot and I figured everyone and their momma would be there (they were). We ordered (and ran up a decent tab) but were told that it would be a 40-50 minute wait. That sucked. A lot of the orders was either Uber Eats or DoorDash. If you are hungry and want to eat soon I would recommend something else. However if you like to do a lot of food delivery, this might be your jam. Just order well in advance. I kinda like eating food hot and fresh so delivery is always a let down. That and delivery people ALWAYS screw up my delivery address where I live. No one reads anymore lol. While there I ordered a fried chicken sandwich but was told they were out. Ok, kind of a bummer but moving on, I ordered a Bacon Burger from The Melt. My son ordered Chicken Strips from Proposition Chicken and My wife got a Sushi Burrito from Sushirrito. We also got a small container of Vietnamese Coffee ice cream. That was probably the best thing and I dont even like sweets. The burger was good. I would have it again. The chicken strips were dry though. The batter was good but I think overcooked. Maybe 1-2 minutes less and it wouldve been perfect. The burrito wasnt bad either. In closing Ill give it another shot when its not insane and recap.

Bacon
1500 Grant Ave Suite 140, Novato, CA 94945, United States
Definitely one of the go-to breakfast spots in Novato. Their menu is quite large, with something for everyone. Eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, breakfast meat, frittatas (which are basically scrambles), and delicious homemade jams/preserves that they also have for sale. Sandwiches - hot and cold varieties - burgers, salads, and alcoholic beverages. The servers dress very nicely and the presentation of the food is great. The fries come in a little metal basket that sits atop your plate.Every time Ive gone (which is maybe three or four times now), Ive gotten the Turkey Supreme. Applewood smoked bacon, roasted deli turkey, tomato, spring mix greens, garlic aioli - served on a fresh Torta roll. It doesnt disappoint. I think boyfriend gets a frittata, he loves breakfast. Once I asked a guy at the next table if the pancakes were worth it. He said yes and Holy Cow, he was right. I think the only thing lacking is the flavor of the fries; theyre kind of flavorless and bland. They just need some seasoning.Sidenote: When Bacon first opened a few years ago, they were doing breakfast/lunch in the morning, and a few days a week they were doing Vietnamese food in the evening. My mom and I always intended to try their Vietnamese, but alas, we never got the chance. After a few months, or maybe it was more like six, Bacon stopped doing evening Vietnamese. According to reviews, their Vietnamese was delicious... maybe its better I never got the chance to love it.

Rustic Bakery
1407 Grant Ave, Novato, CA 94945, United States
Rustic Bakery, PLEASE answer your phone.Calling them with no answer has been a problem Ive experienced for years now, and I see from other reviews that I am not alone in this frustration.I am a nurse and my breaks are few and far between, so this past Friday when I found a miraculous sliver of time that I could quickly run over to grab a salad and bring it back to work, I decided to treat myself (also being aware to order directly from the restaurant these days to help them avoid a cut in their profit from DoorDash). I placed an online order and arrived at my designated pick-up time. Not only did I stand around waiting 12 extra minutes after the promised time, my order was missing the extra avocado ($2.95) and dressing ($1.50) of which Id ordered and paid. (Word to the wise, always double check that your order is correct before leaving the bakery.) And because I was now in an anxious rush to return to work (due to the lateness of my order), I left quickly, without checking inside my bag. The ChowNow app does not have an option to dispute an order, so I called later to follow up about a refund for the missing items, no answer. And no answer the following day. And so on. A critical Yelp review is now my best option for communicating with management. I am well aware the pandemic has put a strain on the service industry, but the phone answering issue has been going on for years before COVID. Please help your time-sensitive customers out here, Rustic. Im going to be taking a long hiatus from to go orders, its not worth it to me any more.
