Pho Lee Hoa Phat 1
508 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523, United States
Delicious Vietnamese food, nicely prepared, good size portions, and affordably priced. Egg rolls and fried chicken wings appetizers are served fresh cooked and hot. Enjoy the BBQ chicken and pork with rice. The chicken noodle soup comes with generous chunks of chicken breast, and bean sprouts with cilantro on the side. Meats are generally trimmed of fat and gristle, unlike other Vietnamese restaurants elsewhere. Food comes quickly: no need to wait long for food to be served. Asian fruit shakes and tapioca drinks are also available -- yum!! Very casual dining and limited service thats typical of most inexpensive Asian restaurants. Have eaten here and ordered take-out many times over the years. When craving Vietnamese noodle soup and/or rice plates, I always order from Pho Lee HOA Phat 1. There is a Pho Lee Hoa Phat 2 restaurant, but Ive not been there.

Its a winner..another excellent lunch or dinner stop ..we plan on stopping here when we are in Walnut CreekThe service can seem distant but language is a factor ...Be patient ask questions enjoy your food..They make their own wontons and fried egg rolls ..I couldnt eat them because I cant eat shrimp my wife said they are delicious..they are made here at the restaurant and I wanted some just from how good they look..Parking is great, large parking lot plenty of space, easy to get to..If your in the mood for good food stop here. After a year of quarantine no sitting in a restaurant and eating ....this was my first sit down eating out..they made sure to separate dinners and the Pho was just as good as last year. Congratulations on surviving a very tough time..There are other Vietnamese restaurants that I havent eaten at . Some just as good as Saigon City . When a find a very good Vietnamese restaurants in my travels I dont need to try other places. Saigon City comes to mind when ever Im in Walnut Creek or Hercules or even south to Lafayette.. I rarely give five stars this restaurant deserves it!

Westside Cafe

Ordered the chicken spring rolls. Which was made with precooked packaged chicken that had been chopped so gross. Additionally they served the food on a plate covered in foil then wrapped the food in foil. The foil was sticking to the food which can cause cross contamination of metals into food. Waste of money threw it away.

Came here on a Sunday to waste time while we were waiting to sell our car. We originally were going to go eat vietnamese pho but saw that there was this sushi place in the same shopping plaza. We went to the restaurant thinking it was open since the door was fully open but the staff told us they were closed until 3pm but they could still seat us anyways and we could wait about 10 more minutes for them to be ready. They gave us menus and we took our time to see what they had. When all the staff came back in we were waited on by a nice waitress who took our order and came back with our drinks. We ordered the Damo specialty roll, char-siu ramen, beef udon, and a 3 item bento box. The ramen looked great and tasted good too but was on the small side with not too much noodles, the beef Udon was the same but it tasted good. The Damo specialty roll was in the skinny side like it was a bit anorexic but again, it tasted good. The 3 item bento box was good but the rice bowl serving was tiny as well as the California roll that it came with. The rice was also a bit hard like it hadnt been fluffed and they scooped the hard top or edge of the rice pot. Oh, I almost forgot that the Miso soup was awesome! It had a buttery taste to it, which was nice and unique!Overall the restaurant had great ambiance, very friendly staff, food was good and worth visiting again but the portions and proportion of the food was lacking. I left still hungry since i was the one that ordered the sushi roll... ??
