Holy hidden gem! I’m not from this area, and wasn’t expecting to find a place like this. Let alone expect that it would be this good! The photos is what got me! So i decided to try it!!!Man am I glad I came! Try the spicy wonton, fried green beans, soup dumplings of course! They are very similar to a place most know and love, DTF ;) if you know what I mean. But tastes amazing!!! They got the black vinegar on table with ginger so it’s ready for dipping!

Very poor service! The two stars are only because we liked the food. Got the cucumber salad, chicken dumplings and veggie wontons. Appetizer wasn’t worth the price but nevertheless loved the dumplings and the wontons.Being in the restaurant business, the servers including the manager need to step up their customer service skills.

They were able to accommodate us (party of 7) half an hour before closing. Food is excellent. Highly recommend chicken, pork and veggie dumplings. Edamame is good with or without sauce but the szechuan sauce is overpowering when removing the shells. Overall experience was great.

Absolutely delicious dumplings right in Westlake! We are huge Din Tai Fung fans and were pleasantly surprised to find a similar dish selection in our new neighborhood. Everything tastes fresh and delicately prepared to order. I love that they have a Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf w/ stuffed chicken, various Wontons in Spicy Sauce, and Boba Milk Tea, I also tried Tanghulu and loved it!

First: Be warned - They do not serve any alcohol. No Sake, no Beer, nothing. The main lady said, You can bring your own, but we charge cork fee. A cork fee? You dont even serve alcohol of your own. Maybe to cover the cost of washing the glasses if we used some? I was able to use the restroom without incurring a water fee to flush the toilet though.Food: Not great. Half the dishes were ok and the other half were bad. Compared to say, Ocean Fresh downtown, bland.Decor: Feng Shui was kicked out on its butt from this place. What was up with the table arrangement? They built upholstered benches on both walls. Normally tables would be set parallel to the benches where people can sit in a chair on the outside and the others sit against the wall on the bench. Not here, no they put the tables perpendicular to the benches and push them right up to the bench so you cant sit on the bench at all. It was the dumbest thing Ive seen.Service: This was the only reason I gave a third star. The food came out quick and warm. The young lady doing most of the front of house work was the best part of the visit. One of the bigger restaurants that are having staffing issues should go swoop this girl up asap and pay her well.

Was on way back to LA & was hungry for something fresh stopped by here, they weren’t open yet, but the door was open & the lady was sweet enough to make me something anyway. Great place for comfort food! Really glad to see a place like this in the area. Enjoyed their soup dumplings, buns, and rice cake stirfry! The sesame noodle was ok. Beautiful website and smooth online ordering process. Would love to see more traditional flavors of mochi ice cream.

Wow. What a great experience from start to finish. Had lunch during the soft opening and was not disappointed. Although the portion size for lunch was large, 10 dumplings, I would expect that once the full menu is released lunch specials will be added.The food was fresh, and the craftsmanship of the food was excellent. I think we have a new favorite place in town.

My boyfriend and I came in for the first time on a whim and WOW!!! This place is great! I lived in China for 4 years and had been missing the soup dumplings and this place is LEGIT!! The service was amazing, too. Jaylene was super nice and friendly and very helpful. Were definitely trekking out here for this place, again.

Very delicious, freshly cooked food. We had the egg drop soup which was amazing and better than most places. As the main course we had the chicken and dumplings and the sautéed green beans. Both were super good and didn’t take any time at all to come out to us. I’m giving it four stars because the price/portion size ratio is low.

I was not a dumpling lover until I visited Shanghai. Their dumplings are works of art that you eat. Eloong Dumplings are right up there with Shanghai’s best. Don’t let the line going out the door detour you. The wait is well worthIt.

RUN to this place. It is phenomenally delicious. Your food comes out so piping hot. Service is friendly and fast. They advertise on a sign in the restaurant that they put heart and soul into their food. That is obvious. The green beans were incredible. We could not stop eating them even though we were stuffed. Edamame was also more flavorful than any I have had in the past. The buns stuffed with pork are incredible. Everything about this restaurant screams authentic. You may have a short wait but our wait at noon was about 15 minutes. I can’t say enough about this restaurant.

Wish there are more items on the menu. I think the introduction with the bigger sized fried meat buns which you will need to use straws to suck up the bun juice (soup) before eating the meat and the bun. This is one of my most favorite street food / snack that I miss most from the Shanghai areas.The food is very good and the skin of the stream buns is so thin and wish they can have a little bit more juice (soup) in the buns will make them perfect.I also wish they can use just the vinegar without adding the soy sauce with it for me to taste the steak buns just with plain red vinegar and ginger paste.Overall a good Chinese Snack restaurant serving Shanghai style food snacks and dishes.

Good food, not fabulous, but an enjoyable range of choices. Garlic green beans were excellent, pork chop soup only fair. Soup lacked a zest of flavor. Dumplings and won tons were good. For us, the standard is Noodle House in Monterey Park. Inside & some outdoor seating. And they were busy.

Very good dumplings and friendly service. We went near closing but still got great service. We loved the rice cake stir fry but didn’t like the beef stew so much. It seemed too greasy and too strong of spices. But I would definitely go back. Love the decor, ambiance and cleanliness.

Mediocre food that is completely overpriced with poor customer service.I went there for the first time for lunch recently, and the place was packed - not even a place to sit down. As a result, I decided to get my meal to-go. Got ONE order of dumplings and a side of fried rice for the whopping price of $25 and change. Regardless, I told the staff member that I would be sitting outside waiting for my food (since there was no where to sit), and he said he would bring it to me. After waiting for over a half hour, the person who came in BEHIND me was leaving after finishing their meal... and they had even decided to wait for a table!!! After going back inside, I come to find out that they had just let my food sit on the counter to get cold. I took it anyway, thinking fine; I get it, theyre busy, maybe they forgot, whatever. But when I actually ate the food, I was severely disappointed. The dumplings were very bland, and it basically tasted like I was biting into plain meat with warm water. I will say, however, that I DID enjoy the fried rice. Unfortunately, their good rice is not enough to make me go back to them and their poor service.

So excited I found this place! Fresh, tasty Chinese food.I got pork buns, soup dumplings, minced pork noodles, and custard buns 😍 for dessert (if you like sweets and haven’t tried custard buns, try them!).Solid meal for 2 people, maybe add a plate of veggies. All were very good.The minced pork needed a bit more pork/sauce because there were a TON of noodles (but was still tasty).2 small tables outside for dining (per COVID regulations). Food was just ok. I didnt like the fact that no boxes were labeled. We ordered 3 pork buns and 1 dessert egg custard bun among other things. All the buns were put together in one box and of course,unlabeled. My first bite was of the dessert one by accident (which taste wise was ok but not sure Id order again). Buns could have had more filling.Also, for 3 separate dumpling/buns dishes they only gave us one tiny little container each of chili oil, ginger and another mystery sauce.

(i didnt know what tanghulu was before trying it today) Its a frozen, candied, fruit stick! its delicious!!! Here, they make it with Hawthorne berries, which are a little tart. Then it gets covered in candy sugar and frozen. Apparently theyre a popular treat in Hong Kong. made my day!!I also tried the veggie dumplings with the chili sauce, dipping sauce (soy sauce based?), and the shredded horseradish (?)IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! with the sauces you can perfectly adjust for your own spice level. (the veggie dumplings themselves are not spicy at all, so even if you dont like spicy food youll enjoy them)the red bean bun was perfect.the milk tea with boba was lovely.

Absolutely horrible! Waited for additional 35 minutes after the promised time for pickup. Over a dozen people standing around elbow to elbow waiting for their orders. Zero communication from the staff on when orders would be ready. To add insult to injury they shorted us on our dumpling order and apparently the entire meal sat way too long in the deflavorizer. Classic case of what not to do as a small food service business trying to survive.

It would be nice if they opened one closer to me in Calabasas, maybe at the commons or one of the other shopping centers nearby (hint, hint!!) we tried a few different plates but my favorite were the soup dumplings.

Everything was very fresh and really delicious. We got chicken dumplings, pork buns and rice cake with shrimp. The rice cake was like nothing Ive had before--forgive my ignorance lol but in case youre clueless like me, its not what you think of when you hear rice cake, my friend and I thought wed gotten the wrong order cuz it looks like water chestnut ^^; but its not, theyre delicious chewy little disks of.. rice? Its good. Get it. Got the little red bean dumplings too, and I liked them but I wish they were buns instead, would be a better ratio of paste to dough imho. We did have a mix up where our waiter gave part of our order to the wrong table and we ended up waiting kind of a long time to get it, but the (manager, I think?) came over and explained and was very nice. It was overall a good experience and I cant wait to go back to try more stuff.

This place is terrible. It seems as if the place dosent even know what dimsum is! Everything was flavorless and bland. All the protien was just boiled meat that was the same througout all the diffrent types of the dim sum. The boba was a disgrace to humanity! The tea in it tasted like powdered coffe creamer and water. The seasonal eggnog dumpling tasted like it was marsmallow and yellow food color. Ive been to many diffrent dimsum places and none of them even come close to matching the disgrace my tastbuds have gone through. The food is incredibly overpriced as well. If you want a good place to go, I sudguest Shanghai Rose. Its in studio City and its probably one of the best in this area. A lovely place to enjoy Chinese-Shanghai cooking. The wait staff is amazing - the young people are very friendly and helpful (super efficient too). One CAUTION - do NOT order online - I was redirected to BeyondMenu to order ahead for dine-in. Well, it is a scam. So, just get there early and secure a table. I got in at about 6:20, got seated right away. However, those who arrived after 6:45/7:00 have to wait a little.

Overall a decent Chinese dumpling house with clean facilities and good service. Can get crowded since its not the biggest place. While perhaps not quite as good as the ones in say Monterey Park its close enough and saves you from the aggravation of driving on the 101 and 10 freeways.

The name is that of one of the carriers in which dim sum is served. The sum here isnt dim at all, its a grand total for service, food and price that totals five stars. The soups are great for starters and all of the dim sum dishes Ive tried are excellent.

If you are looking for a local alternative to Din Tai Fung look no further. Soup dumplings outstanding, the green beans were ok, not as good and our other favorites the braised beef soup and rice patties were great. When I need my soup dumplings fix and dont want to drive out of the Conejo this will be my first stop.

Great place to eat XLB, aka juicy pork dumplings, west side of SFV, especially if you dont feel like braving one hour plus traffic into the SGV. The quality is as good as that other famous place for XLBs except without the wait or the snootiness. Be forewarned that there is a price for convenience. The portions are not commensurate with the cost. They focus instead on quality. Not for everyone and every occassion. But if you happen to have a craving for XLB and dont want to drive, eLoung is the place to be. The other dishes are worth trying, too. Definitely recommend 👍and $$$!

The entire menu is just like Din Tai Fung, and overall it’s pretty good.Xiao Long Bao - The filling is not fat and relatively small, which is okay.Shrimp Fried Rice - The rice grains themselves arent great, but they taste delicious!Pork Fried Rice Cake - Ok, the pork taste is a bit strong.Beef Noodles - The noodles are ordinary, taste good, and have three slices of beef tendon.Green beans - just the right amount of doneness and delicious.If there were decimal places, I would give 4.5 stars.

The bottom of the xiaolongbao is broken, so there is no soup and no flavor. The shop owner probably has never tasted what normal xiaolongbao tastes like, but the price is set very high. Any store will taste better than this one., the service and hygiene are also very poor, and it also discriminates against Asians, don’t go!
