eLoong Dumplings
30843 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Westlake Village, CA 91362, United States
First: Be warned - They do not serve any alcohol. No Sake, no Beer, nothing. The main lady said, You can bring your own, but we charge cork fee. A cork fee? You dont even serve alcohol of your own. Maybe to cover the cost of washing the glasses if we used some? I was able to use the restroom without incurring a water fee to flush the toilet though.Food: Not great. Half the dishes were ok and the other half were bad. Compared to say, Ocean Fresh downtown, bland.Decor: Feng Shui was kicked out on its butt from this place. What was up with the table arrangement? They built upholstered benches on both walls. Normally tables would be set parallel to the benches where people can sit in a chair on the outside and the others sit against the wall on the bench. Not here, no they put the tables perpendicular to the benches and push them right up to the bench so you cant sit on the bench at all. It was the dumbest thing Ive seen.Service: This was the only reason I gave a third star. The food came out quick and warm. The young lady doing most of the front of house work was the best part of the visit. One of the bigger restaurants that are having staffing issues should go swoop this girl up asap and pay her well.

All Fired Up Mongolian Grill
2691 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362, United States
The old man who made fried noodles was very mean. He put a lot of water in the noodles and didnt control the heat properly. It was very unpalatable, but there were not many Chinese restaurants nearby and no choice. Today he even threw all three pieces of crab meat that I had put into the bowl with great effort on the ground, and tried to pick them up and put them back when I found out. I took back the tip I gave him, deleted the good review here, left angrily, and will never come back. I work nearby and have to eat here every day. You will go bankrupt and sell your store because of this unqualified fried noodles chef. You are losing customers.

Sesame Inn
3327 W Kimber Dr, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320, United States
After tasting the best beef noodle soup in Shanghai, I was on a mission to find a local Chinese restaurant that made authentic beef noodle soup.I ordered this dish from several restaurants in Thousand Oaks and Westlake, and was disappointed. Until I tried Sesame Inn.Not only did they provide very generous portions, but their beef noodle soup was the best in the Conejo Valley! What would make it better is if they added some sliced carrots.Ever since COVID, Sesame Inn became a strictly take out establishment - no dining in. This is a better model for them, since the restaurant is small and theyve always had a strong take out business.

Green Onion Chinese Cuisine
30651 Thousand Oaks Blvd F, Agoura Hills, CA 91301, United States
This place is great! Green Onion is a breath of fresh air, since most of the Asian offerings in Westlake Village are pretty terrible (Panda Express, what?).I highly recommend the plain wonton soup (but if you like thick, spaghetti-type noodles, then go for the noodle option), as the filling is fresh and flavorful, and the wonton skin is tender and strong enough to hold the filling without splitting. Also delicious is the stir fried beef hor foon noodle dish (I cant remember what Green Onion calls it on their menu), but those of you who speak Cantonese know it as gan chow ngao hor. This place is NOT skimpy when it comes to their ingredients, and youll find your dishes filled with yummy fresh vegetables and tender meat. The service is also wonderful! The waitress is the sweetest lady from Taiwan, and when you are her guest, she makes you feel like you are at home. The prices are also great, and most dishes are no more than $10 each.

Golden Dragon Restaurant

Our absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in Thousand Oaks. The House Special Noodles and the Three Sauteed Delight are the best! Not a huge place, seats probably 40 at the most. Lovely people here as well!

Well, if I had reviewed this place right after I came here for the 1st time several weeks ago I would have rated it higher. That time everything seemed perfect, the rice was fluffy & perfectly cooked, the chicken sate juicy & tender. It was kind of wow because I had resisted coming here because the menu seem very generic & limited based upon Thai cuisine and there are a lot of good Thai restaurants in the area. Ive eaten here twice since that 1st time and Im sad to discover the inconsistency in service & food prep quality because I thought this might be a place that could become one of my regulars.Today the rice was undercooked to the point of feeling the raw rice kernels crunch in your teeth. And the chicken was rather dried out. The last time I was here several days ago, I got embroiled in a service nightmare. I ordered a salad w/o onions. It came with onions so I sent it back. No problem. Well, the salad never came so I went to the counter and told them, so supposedly they took care of it. Went back to eat my meal. Still the salad never came. Ate my entire meal and waited some more. No salad. So I had to leave. Nabbed a waiter & asked for a refund on my salad. She resisted & informed me that the salad was ready. She went looking, no salad. I said just give me a refund. Well, I have to talk to my manager. She goes away and never comes back. Finally I nab her again & tell her to keep my $7 but Im never eating here again. She goes off again and has a long conversation with another person. Apparently about the salad. But still no one comes back to deal with me. I finally get the 2nd waiter & I get some long unbelievable explanation about the salad. (I mean, cmon, you had 3 chances to get this right & still no salad). To her credit, she did refund my entire meal but even that didnt make up for the hassle.Maybe that whole thing was a one time fluke but probably not. The inconsistency of the food quality, though, I think is a more unforgivable thing. And so disappointing since it was so good the 1st time.

Cho Cho San Restaurant
400 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, United States
Note, I tried to email them but there is no contact on their website. The one listed on Facebook does not work. Here is the email I drafted. Obviously I am not pleased. Good day, I hope this is reaching the correct person.  I wanted to reach out to you as I have been a resident of Thousand Oaks my whole life and have enjoyed dining at your restaurant for over 25 years.  We dine at Cho Cho San several times a year and have never had a bad meal or experience.  Once in a while service may be average but never disappointed in the meal.   We always dine with at least 6 family members so you can easily see we have spent thousands of dollars at your restaurant and have always suggested your establishment to friends and family.Today was a typical order for us.  We ordered take out for 7 people, called it in on Saturday for a 1 PM pick up on Sunday for mothers day.  Our bill came out to $228 dollars.  When I arrived at the restaurant at 1:05 the gentlemen ahead of me was upset, his order was wrong, and he was cursing at your host.  After he left your host took a phone call and then asked me what name my order was under.  I told her is was under Morris Finestone and she retrieved 3 bags for me.  I paid and was on my way.Upon reaching my home, gathering the family, and sitting down to eat we realized that we were missing 4 missing items.  I called back, a young man answered, and couldnt help me.  He said He had to speak to the manager and call me back.  I had to remind him to take my name and number down.  I also had to remind him to write down the missing items so he could figure out the problem.  He said he would call back shortly.  After ten minutes without getting a call back I called.  I asked of the manager and a lady answered.  I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager.  I told her who I was and she immediately told me she gave my all my items.  I then proceeded to go over the order and told her that she was wrong and that I was missing items.  She then said no i got them and they wrote all the items names on the containers.  She was very rude and short with me on the phone.  I then told her again she was wrong, i didnt receive them, and I would be happy to come down there with all the packaging and show her.  She was again trying to tell me that I was wrong but I cut her off and said to her that I wanted my items, I understood that they made a mistake and gave my food to someone else, I understood that they were just being cussed at by a customer and a little out of sorts.  She begrudgingly said well it will take sometime, her attempt to get out of making my order right.  I said tell me what time it will be ready and I will be there.  She said 45 minutes (for 4 sushi!).  I said i would see be there.45 Minutes later my 30 year old son went to pick it up with his fiancee so I could stay with the family.  When he arrived she began to tell him that they had gotten the order right.  She was mean, curt, and abrasive.  He told her just give me the food and we will be out of here.  He got the food and came home.He came home end everyone else got to eat.  Needless to say as the rest of the family came in to eat we realized that we were actually short 5 items, not 4, and I didnt receive my fried rice as I had ordered.I am really taken aback about the behavior of your manager at the Thousand Oaks Store today.  We all understand that doing take out changes the dynamics of the restaurant experience, and I know if we were seated in the restaurant this never would have happened.  If a manager was that disrespectful to me in person in the dining room everyone would see it.  Thus, it would never happen.  I find abhorrent that the manager would treat me and my son in the manner she did.I leave it to and the management of Cho Cho San to make this right.

Thousand Wok Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar
450 N Moorpark Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, United States
Terrible service. I have been to this restaurant for several years, sometimes dine in, sometimes take out. Today like usual I ordered the food over a phone call, and was told the food will be ready in 20 minutes. I went there, first person said he will check. Several minutes passed no one help me so I asked again, another person told me they don't have my order. On their defense I ordered using an old menu so one item is not there. Anyway they offered 10% discount and let me ordered again. I waited for another 20 minutes, it's already one hour after the initial call. I asked them again with patient, but the food still is not ready. How difficult it is to make one pho and two sushi? They said they need to take care the dine-in customers first. But I am the person who came first and I have been waiting for one hour! I guess they only care about the big tips from the dine in customers. I canceled my order and left. I will never go back to this place again.
