We were craving Vietnamese food and decided to try Saigon Restaurant for the 1st time. I ordered over the phone and my questions were all answered was helped to get all of the food and beverages down right the way I wanted. I was given clear instructions on what information to give once the food was ready to be picked up. The food was ready in 15 minutes!Let me say the Taro Boba drinks were ice cold and creamy and not overly sweet which is an A+ for us.The large soup was big enough to feed 4 of us which is a great value for your money spent.The spring rolls were big and made with fresh ingredients refreshing to my stomach will order them again along with their authentic peanut sauce.

The food overall is nice. Mostly we have it Togo. However we decided to dine there. The ambience was lacking. No soft music, just a lot of chatty workers with no regard to the half dozen customers inside. As always, explore your foodie places. Update: 09/4/22. Just had a big order to go. Got everything correct except one. Language barrier. Wanted bok choy with chicken. But rather got bok choy with the chicken noodle soup which already comes with it. Yes, I didn’t get it either, after calling them. So hence, my updated review. Next time get an itemized receipt and check your order before leaving. It just happens to us all the time. Butttttt. The food was very good.Update 9-30-23. Always good food. One of the original area Vietnamese restaurants. Our favorite . We’ve tried others, but usually come back to here. As always, post your favs. So we kind of know what’s good and what’s better.

I stumbled into this small restaurant with my dad and we were pleasantly surprised by the great food and attentive service from our waiter. The Wor Won Ton Soup was amazing. I love to eat and I was not able to finish the large bowl serving. The restart was clean, well kept and all of the employees were friendly. Looking forward to trying something else on their menu soon!!

Food wasnt bad. But I noticed them cleaning the floor and then bringing out food. Not very clean. Also the ribs had small shards of bone in them. Coughed on one pretty hard ended up swallowing it the picture of the larger bone thats actually piece of it sticking out that was sharp. They didnt check on you very often. Out of most of the restaurants I reviewed Id have to say this is definitely not one of my favorites. And being the top 10% of restaurant reviewers in the United States that says a lot for me not liking the place.

The Pho was delicious. We loved the pork spring rolls. The bbq pork chow mein was really yummy. The food came out fast and the service was friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Best Pho and Vermicelli spot in town! Broth is consistently hot & flavorful. Vermicelli bowl is always fresh & tasty. Quaint establishment with nice family friendly feel. Dining area small but still accommodates large parties. Service is always great, water refills on point, and dining area kept tidy. Delicious spring rolls w/awesome peanut sauce! Relatively inexpensive by todays pho standards. Large selection of delicious menu items but primarily go for the Pho and Vermicelli bowl. Try it, you wont be dissappointed!

Originally came here to order the Duck/Rice plate which is great but I ordered today the Bok Choy -Chicken. Great lighter dish of veggies with sliced Chicken in a very tasty sauce. Im sure if you stop in for lunch or dinner this dish as well as the other items on the menu will hit the spot.

1st time I have visited this place. The chicken chow mein was perfect! Clean! Service was fast even if people were starting to come in around 1 pm. The servers seem to be well-known by the customers. Nice quiet place to eat not very big place but Ill be back for sure!!

The pho is average at best, but the worst part is the customer service. The lady who serves the food was extremely rude when she couldn’t figure out what I was ordering. She showed no interest in receiving my business from the moment I walked through the door.

Great food and service.Our first time here. Pho soup has wonderful flavor. Great recommendations from staff. Egg rolls are the usual. Beef pad Thai had lots of veggies and good flavor. Will be back to try out new items.

I am BEYOND LIVID with the service from this place!!!! If I could I would give them zero stars!! I called in an order of 30 egg rolls for a potluck at work at 3pm and I told them I was going to pick up at 6 pm. When I arrived at 6:15pm they hadn’t started my order and I have to wait for 20 minutes until it was ready. Being as I was now in a hurry to rush to work I didn’t check my order before leaving. When I opened my order an hour later (because I was at work and didn’t have time to open it right away) there were only 15 egg rolls. When I called them the staff was extremely rude and began yelling at me they said that I must have eaten them all and was now asking for more! Who does that??? It was their mistake and now they are accusing me of eating the food and asking for more. I have never felt more disrespected in my life!! They continued to yell at me and then passed the phone to whom I’m assuming is the manager or per who also continued to yell at me .when I said I would be leaving a review he yelled “no” as if I was a child. Needles to say I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. And I would advise anyone to NOT go there either. By the way I paid $38 for 15 egg rolls

One more strike, and I swear to god, I will talk to someone about this place. First off, Ive always loved the food here. Its unique. Unlike any other local restaurant. However, things have changed. My mom and I ordered an avocado smoothie from Saigon. This drink had at least 3 hairs in it. Distinctively, as well. Secondly, I ordered a chicken noodle soup recently, to find out the noodles were close to crispy. Noodles should not be hard. The restaurants staff seems to be unsanitary, and lazy. Im done eating here. Smh.

Several friends recommended Saigon Restaurant, so we finally when out there to try. Wonderful place but a bit small. Before we left, every seat in the restaurant was full.Very wheelchair accessible getting in and to the tables, but I could have done without the glass table top over the table cloth; the glass easily moves, so you must keep putting it back where it belongs.Our lunch started with hot sweetened Vietnamese coffee and Thai ice tea with shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were beautiful and tasted great. I think we were the only patron not ordering pho, we ordered the lemongrass chicken and grilled pork with shrimp. Both dishes were great!

2 stars instead of 1 only because their menu is authentic. Below par quality. Way below par meat portions in dishes. The broth is average. The least amount of meat in a large pho I have ever experienced. I have eaten in hundreds of pho places. There is a regular crowd. If you are not part of this crowd, you are treated that way. They definitely dont need your patronage is the attitude, even after a friendly greeting by me. Great place if youre vegetarian and speak the owners language. Otherwise, would recommend you try somewhere else.

Pho is just average in taste and quantity. Ordered extra meat for my bowl of pho which is listed as $2.00 additional charge on the menu. The total amount of meat in my bowl was so miniscule, I am not even sure if they added any extra when I received my order. Furthermore, as I paid for my order, the waitress charged me $3.00 for extra meat. She claimed it was a recent price increase, however this information wasnt posted anywhere.Conclusion: average pho and scamming patrons. Look elsewhere for pho in Modesto.

Im am so glad my friend introduced me to saigon.. only wish that the new location had the option of a small bowl as well but they only do medium and large

Favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town! Hands down. Sooooooooo much better than that absolutely disgusting DK place. Im addicted to Thai teas and theirs are so good and their pork vermicelli is so good. I actually go here a couple times a week.

I had the bbq pork when I went. The plate consisted of bbq pork with a ball of rise and a salad. The pork was amazing, whatever they marinade the meat in is great. The staff is pretty friendly and both of the times Ive been there theyve had soccer on which is a plus for me.

Clean, delicious, spring rolls.. not so great $4.25 Id rather go to DK Noodle instead with these mini rolls, DK has huge delicious stuffed ones while here its more like only spinach.Food is overall a good place to have some pho loved #8 my girlfriend got chicken pho and it was sickening sweet broth, wouldnt mind going back but I would recommend passing on the spring rolls.

Will never return! While trying to stomach my Pho (worst in town in my opinion) I witnessed the cook walk outside to have a cigarette (I believe) then walk in to continue cooking -wipes his sweat on his forehead and didnt wash his hands!The waiter was polite, if that makes a difference.
