A cozy Asian eatery that seats 25-30 people, offering exceptionally delicious and authentic dishes. It has a few outdoor seating also. I savored the flavors of roti prata, rice pot, and mee goreng. Highly recommended for those looking to experience Singaporean cuisine. Free Parking available in the neighborhood.

I’ve travelled from SF to Shiok kitchen multiple times now and their Hokkien mee and fried carrot cake (not on the menu so you gotta ask the boss himself for it) are really authentic :) As a Singaporean myself, I highly recommend!

Ive been here a few times prior to the pandemic since I had worked close by. Its been a few years since I had come since its a bit far for me. This is my favorite place to go for Laksa so I had to order that and it did not disappoint. Tasted like just what I remembered. The price is also not too expensive especially for lunch. We also ordered the roti and another noodle dish. Both were good but my main dish was the laksa. I cant really find a good restaurant that makes laksa close to my neighborhood. I definitely would go back even if it is a long drive.

As a Singaporean: the chicken flavoured rice was pretty legit. Good curry chicken too. Only issue was that the cereal prawns dont taste like the Singaporean ones - way too sweet and dry and prawns werent as good. Overall worth a try and would come back to try more dishes!

Authentic Singapore establishment serving great Singapore local fares.Tried the Char Kway Teow and Hokkien Mee.It was really really great! For the price, the portion could have been bigger. But no complains here because the portion is also authentically Singapore. Will definitely return!

The five spice roll is great, the flavor of clay pot and Laksa noodle is pretty mild.

This is one of our favorite Singaporean food restaurants in the Bay Area - the quality is consistently good and prices are very reasonable. The most authentic dishes in my opinion are the Hokkien mee, char Kway Teow and Hor Fun. The menu is extensive. Go early to avoid crowds and the wait for food can be long. Highly recommended.

My rating is for overall but the Hokien Mee deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the rest is really nothing to write home about. I also don’t know why this place always gives out dried limes and lemons! I mean we are in california, where do you even find dried citrus ? Also don’t order the string beans, it looks like someone ate 75% of the order and then served it. They shouldn’t be so superdupa stingy with the portions of string beans, it’s only 1.99 per pound at cost even with inflation. Go for the hokkien mee and don’t bother with the rest. They always forget to give hot sauce upon request too🙄

Cute little Singaporean Restaurant in Menlo Park. Limited seating in a cozy setup.History: Established in 1999. Began as a small 16 seat hole-in-the-wall on the quiet part of Laurel Street in San Carlos, moved to Menlo Park soon after.Everything we ordered here was at their best taste. We experimented with some items which we haven’t had earlier.Sambal Kangkong - Spicy tangy appetizer, though spinach stalks were little chewy. Okra option is available too. Felt $17 a tad expensive for that.Chicken Satay - On sweeter side, expected it to have little spice.Hor Fun - Full of deliciousness, go for it if you are an egg lover. Soupy eggy flat noodle delight.Laksa - Show stopper of the day. If you like aroma and taste of dried shrimp and into soupy noodles, this is for you. Can’t stop eating it.We ordered Lychee Spritz and Lime Juice as coolers.Owners were amazing. We just loved the hospitality. They were so friendly and understanding. We made a mess at the table while dining with kid. They switched the table for us with a smile.Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I always get the same thing when I go because it’s so good: chicken satay and roti prata. Went for some desert from the extensive list of options and tried the fried ice cream. Honestly.. I wish there was a little bit more ice cream in the middle and less dough, I was searching for the ice cream wondering where it was.
