Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
360 W Foothill Pkwy STE 102, Corona, CA 92882, United States
Stix in general is ever changing, in just about every case its for the worse. Cutting off Szechuan beef, their longest staple the chicken and vegetables and other dishes in favor of fusion and trying to bring in other styles.Their latest initiatives have revamped the menu yet again and frankly its just a waste of time to go there. Being told menu favorites that have been changed are just the same as other items (what a sham) and just a sense that Stix is caught up trying to deliver to a demographic I guess I no longer match. Instead of trying to slug it out with Pei Wei, why not inspect if youve alienated your original customer base, because you have.Ive duplicated most of the foods I used to like here at home, theres no sense in dumping money into a chain with an identity crisis.

Less than impressive customer service.I ordered one large drink and 3 rice bowls, one chicken, one sweet and sour and one steak.Cynthia the cashier rang me up and then another employee gave me my order when it was complete. I received 2 chicken bowls and one sweet and sour, no beef bowl. When I brought this to her attention, she was irritated and told me there was an extra charge for steak (which is fine), an extra $1.08I waited then for the correct bowl. When given, she reached back into my bag (after not washing her hands and handling other peoples money), which I also already touched inside, took out one of the bowls and threw it in the garbage can.I told her, hey, If I knew you were just going to trash that perfectly good bowl in the garbage I would have totally just bought it, thats such a waste. Cynthia said it was their policy to throw out them out. Okeedokee then... ?

I come into this place fairly often for lunch. I came in for a last lunch a week or two ago and got my meal to go. When I got back to work and looked at my food i noticed I was missing the avocado I had asked for as well as the green onions. No big deal, I called the store and spoke to someone named Eder. He assured me they would give me the avocado for no charge on my next visit as well as a drink for the inconvenience. I was happy with that and he told me all I would need to do is give them my name and they would take care of me. I went in today and let the cashier know that I had talked to Eder and went over what he had told me. She giggled, looked at the back of the soda machine and said sorry, ill have to call him. Being on lunch, time is limited, so after she disappeared for 3 min or so, she came back up on the phone with a customer. She apologized and said she needed to call still. I told her not to worry about it as it was supposed to be easy and I was on a time crunch, she laughed again and took my order. Then when giving me my order left out the dumplings I had ordered. Idk if Im coming back here. The customer service is terrible.

Tonys Barbecue and Bibingkinitan

An amazing Filipino Barbecue place hidden gem inside 99 Ranch Market! Its in the food court of the store, so when you enter, you can immediately smell the Barbecue cooking when you pass Tonys! It was about lunch/brunch and the craving of Filipino Breakfast was on my taste buds. My first time at this place and it was a superb first impression! Going to Tonys for Filipino brunch was an amazing choice! We opted for the Breakfast Platter, which included Longonisa, Tocino, Fried Spam, Fried Corned Beef, Eggs on top of a bed of Fried Rice. This included Sweet and Sour sauce, Spiced Vinegar, and Tonys signature BBQ sauce. We also ordered Lumpia (12-piece) on the side and had some Calamansi Juice to finish it off!If you want to know all the many flavors of Filipino Breakfast dishes, I suggest getting the Breakfast Platter! The char/grill was an impressive taste on the Breakfast Platter for being only breakfast. Im excited to try the Barbecue dishes on my next trips!

Cook on Thai
1185 Magnolia Ave ste a, Corona, CA 92879, United States
My hubby and I love Thai food and we usually try the restaurants with the highest ratings in our area. That being said we had to try the food here at Cook on Thai here in Corona, Ca. My husband had not had the Larb in so long and was excited to find it here!! He wanted too try the pork, but they were out. So he ordered the chicken instead and he was very happy with his choice!! The only complaint he had was that, maybe a little more mint would have made the dish! Anyways I ordered the Cashew Nut Chicken. (Because thats my favorite dish) & I usually order it wherever I go eat Thai food! One of my very good friends owns a Thai restaurant in the Bay Area and of courseI think her food is the best!! Well it is!! But the food here at Cook on Thai not only compared but it also reminded me of her food to the TWe have not been able to find Thai food that tasty until now! Honestly I cant wait to go back and try their other dishes! The restaurant is nice and clean. The staff are all really friendly too!! So if youre in the Corona area & are looking for some healthy & great tasting food then you just got too giveCook on Thai a try!! You wont be disappointed! Thats for sure!!At least that wasnt our experience here at Conk on Thai! We werent disappointed at all!! We will definitely be going back real soon too!! Give them a try! You might like them too!!

My husband child and myself came on a work day lunch break. I had wanted to try this restaurant because the food looks amazing. I ordered the tostada grande and I think I got a combo of that plus the chicken Puebla black bean tostada. The “lettuce” was a coleslaw mix and would have been amazing but I HATE cilantro. I asked for no pico and dressing on the side to avoid cilantro. When the food came out I tried to pick out the pieces but there was just too much. I explained to the waitress that I don't like cilantro and that I didn't see it listed on the menu, but why I asked for no pico and tomatoes only. I asked if it's premise that way and she said she'd ask if they could remake it, but I understood if they couldn't due to being premade. She Came back and said, “sorry they can't but next time ask for no cilantro and the chef will do it” what???! Next time?! Really... so my husband reiterated my distaste for cilantro and she agreed to remake it. I asked for it to go because I didn't want to spend another 30 minutes there trying to eat by myself with a 4 year old. When I get home to eat it's completely different. I wish I had a before picture. But this one has shredded iceberg, fine, but not on the other. And then the beans are barely there plus pasted to the to go container. I feel like they screwed up, which is why I'm leaving a poor review. They gave me something I didn't order, I didn't like it and then I was left feeling like I was being rude to state I didn't like the food. Super poor customer service.

ETCetera Sushi & Thai Bites

I feel like what I am about to write isn't even to the extent of how unpleasant our time was at this sushi place. But i will try to explain the best i can.We decided to try this new place on Sunday October 30th after our kids baseball games. We live right around the corner and have been very excited to try it since we go to sushi often in corona. Well, I can say with certainty we will not be back. Unfortunately our experience was not what others have made this place seem to be. When we arrived at 450 pm we were able to be seated right away. No wait. Which of course is always a plus. Server did come right over. Took our drink and food order. Drinks were good. (Had the spicy margarita.) but that was about it for the positive review. We ordered two bento boxes, a chicken teriyaki/rice bowl and 4 rolls. The chicken teriyaki bowl came out maybe 20-25 minutes after we ordered. Then the bento boxes came out about 20-25 minutes after that… and then the rolls… only three of the four came out about after an 1.5 hours of us being at our table. (And mind you, the 3 rolls that did come did not come all at once. They came about 10-15 minutes apart). We ended up leaving and telling them to just forget about the last roll. We just couldn't wait any longer. It was beyond ridiculous. Our server apologized one time for the wait. It's not his fault and i know that. But Several times we had the hostess and other servers come by asking if we were finished, trying to remove all the plates/utensils. We had to remind them that we hadn't even gotten all of our food. There were other tables also waiting a long time to receive their items too. One table even got up, told them to cancel everything else they ordered and left without paying for their bill (I believe it was just a couple drinks and maybe one item. Not okay but that is how frustrating this was for everyone)There was a lady who I assume to be the manger in the back by the bathrooms who never once came out to apologize to the numerous tables waiting. Very unprofessional. I Worked in the food industry and never had a manager or boss who didn't make sure tables were okay or at least apologize and do what they can to make it right. It was almost like she was hiding. Embarrassing for her.And to top off the experience there was a couple fighting with another couple at the bar area (literally right next to our table). They started screaming at each other and got in each others faces. I had to get up and remove one of my kids from that side of the table because I thought they were going to start physically fighting and be right on top of him and our table. No staff intervened. Only the bartender, who I assume was friends with one of the couples, tried escorting the second couple out. And once again, no apology from any staff or the extremely rude couple still at the bar. They weren't asked to leave. (Guess it pays to be friends with the bartender)We had our three kids with us. Ages range from 4-11 but there is no “kid” items on the menu. Which is totally fine. I am good with a more adult type place. We planned on coming back in the future just my husband and I. But that will not be happening. I am super disappointed and was really hoping for a good sushi place with good service to be right next to the house. I have never had such bad service in corona. We will not be going back.

Bamboo Bistro
2600 East Coast Hwy #160, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625, United States
Bamboo Bistro in Newport Beach is a culinary gem with a remarkable history. Founded by Chau Dang Haller, whose family owned the famous Hoa Binh French boulangeries in Nha Trang, Vietnam, this restaurant is a testament to her culinary expertise and passion for healthy dining. As a licensed dietician, Chau has infused her menus with nutritious options that appeal to Newport Beachs health-conscious beachgoers.I recently had the pleasure of trying their Roasted Duck Spring Rolls ($8), and they exceeded all expectations. Tender chunks of savory duck with crispy skin nestled amidst fluffy vermicelli noodles, fresh lettuce, cucumber, and asparagus, all wrapped in pliable rice paper. The presentation and taste were outstanding. Two rolls, sliced in half, were simply not enough to satisfy my craving for more. While Bamboo Bistro offers a variety of spring rolls, including the renowned Ahi Spring Roll ($9), and other delightful options like Roasted Pork Spring Rolls and Grilled Shrimp Spring Rolls, I found the Vegetarian Spring Rolls ($5) to be less exciting in comparison. They contained tofu, noodles, lettuce, and carrots, but they lacked the bold flavors of the other offerings. Its clear that Bamboo Bistro caters to a broader audience, with a menu that draws inspiration from mainstream Asian dishes. While there are nods to Vietnamese cuisine with items like pho and banh xeo, the overall menu reflects a fusion of flavors that appeals to a diverse clientele. Despite this departure from traditional Vietnamese offerings, the quality and creativity of Bamboo Bistros dishes make it a must-visit restaurant in Newport Beach. Chau Dang Hallers culinary heritage shines through in every bite, making this restaurant a delightful culinary destination for both locals and visitors. The restaurant is easily get to which is located right on PCH next to Fashion Island Shopping mall. There are plenty of parkings on the street and underground garage.
