The Tray Fusion Grill
10704 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
Tried this local restaurant for lunch and walked away very happy. And honestly surprised. Ive had so many bowls and trays where the chicken is over cooked and dry which is not the case here. Their chicken is very juicy and flavorful! You can tell they just grilled the meat in the kitchen! Im loving the heat the sauces give off too!The staff is super friendly and full of energy. The restaurant is bright and clean. The menu is sure to have something you like. They offer a full range of flavor choices as well as a large list of refreshing drinks! They food comes out fast and hot, so if you need a quick yummy meal in GG this is your place! They also prepare take away. There is a small amount of parking in the front but plenty around the side of the building so dont shy away if you cant find parking.
Garlic and Chives

I never write review but I must do it this time because it was very disappointing and bad experience we had with this restaurant. I took my 2 daughters there yesterday because of their ad. The snail and baked scallop dishes are just ok. My youngest daughter ordered a rotisserie chicken with baked rice (com chay ga roti). She waited for 25 minutes for her foods to come out. There were two pieces of chicken but both were still frozen inside (icy cold). The waiter brought it in and reordered her the same dish. This time it took 40 minutes for it to come out but the insides of the two pieces of chicken were less frozen but were still cold to the touch. I asked to speak to the manager and she offered to redo the dish without charging but I told her no and asked her to take the order of the check. My daughter left there still hungry. Id rather buy food at another restaurant for my daughter than waiting again after 1 hour and 15 minutes of how long we had been there. Who knew how much longer we had to wait for AGAIN and what kind of food my daughter would get AGAIN.The service here was bad too. When we first sat down at our table, the server dropped 2 meus on our table then walked away. I let my daughters look at the menus and I asked another waiter to provide me 1 more. Instead of giving it to me, he put it at a corner of the table opposite from me and walked away as well. The restaurant had only 5 tables filled at that time and they have lots of servers. They also messed up the orders of the table next to us. The waitress brought food that customers ordered to-go out for customers to eat there and one gentleman waited for 1 hour for his dish Bun Cha Ca Thang Long (grilled fish with noodles). He got so mad, kept cursing while eating. He left half of his food and told his friend that the servers did not deserve tips.
Pho REDBO
7725 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92841, United States
Wagyu pho? I must be dreaming! Ive been wanting to try this spot ever since I heard that they specialize in wagyu pho. The meats are halal and super fresh. Staff was friendly and attentive to our groups needs. Seeing how popular this place was, I thought it would take a while for the food to come out, but I was pleasantly surprised how quick we all received our food. Piping hot and fresh. Definitely stop and splurge on that wagyu pho or the flaming wagyu carpaccio. That meat just melts in your mouth!|| L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G ||-Cross Streets are Garden Grove Blvd and Hoover St.-Plenty of parking spots for dinner during a weekday|| F O O D / D R I N K S ||Crispy Egg Rolls ($7.00) - Such a tasty fried appetizer. I liked how these didnt taste super oily.Truffle Fries ($7.00) - These fries were super crispy and had a strong truffle flavor. Loved these and would order it again. I didnt even need to dip it in ketchup or any other sauce.Flaming Wagyu Carpaccio ($17.00) - Kept seeing this on my feed and decided to splurge and go for it. The wagyu melted in my mouth which made the splurge so worth it. Just let your server know well you want the meat cooked. I opted for medium well and medium rare and both were delicious.Wagyu Fried Rice ($16.00) - This was so addicting and I couldnt stop eating it. Theres a good amount of wagyu in the fried rice and I felt like I had a piece of meat in every scoop of fried rice. Love that it comes with a side of broth which pairs so well with the fried rice.Shaken Beef With Rice ($19.00) - Although I did find the beef slightly chewy, the flavors made up for it and paired well with the rice. If youre looking for something saucy to go with rice, this is your item to order.Combination Pho (R: $18.00/L: $22.00) - When trying a new pho spot, I always opt for combination so I get to taste different types of meats to identify which ones I like for my next visit. Since all meat offerings were wagyu with the exception of the meatballs, I knew I was going to be in for a good treat. Every protein was delicious but my two absolute favorites were the slice rare wagyu steak (oh so tender) and the tender rib cubes (not chewy at all!). Broth was super flavorful and so clear. I couldnt stop slurping away at the broth.Watermelon Juice - super refreshing for the hot summer day, recommend to quench your thirst after you devour a bowl of pho!

UPDATE: (Oct. 2023+)Its under new management & the happy hour has been hacked at to less items & frequency. My favorite fish & fries are no longer on the list. ?Since Oct. Ive given it about 3 tries & even suggested a friend to enjoy the food. Coincidentally each time something wrong happened with the order; there was a late/forgotten order, cold food, little burned...or the opposite. The manager tried to compensate us with redo-ing the order or a discount on the food. Good efforts by management, but its not worth the trouble that I might encounter, ... ESPECIALLY with No fish & chips on the happy hour to upgrade to garlic & parmesan fries. The fries itself were the only good & consistent item from both managements. At least parking is still easy & across the street behind the buildings for all of the establishments on that street.5 to 2 star review, update.______________________The Happy Hour has amazing choices! Oysters for $2!?!!! Sunday has all day happy hour. I like places with multiple happy hours. [Refer to image]The food comes out quickly & in a good portion. The music choice is chill too. Nothing obnoxious. (Lol yeah, I know its subjective.) The servers are more genuine with their approach & dont have that giddy customer service inflection. If u like garlic & parmesan on ur fries, this place will not disappoint; it will astound. I gleefully chuckled cuz most places sprinkle; The Warf will top it with scoopSSS.There is PLENTY OF SEATING, so there is rarely a wait time. We found this place near a local theater that we can have drinks prior to the performance in WALKING DISTANCE.Next time, Ill try their shots~

LOL!!! This woman below is a total joke. Discourteous & unmannered customer like her, never speaks the truth. Wanna talk about service? Sure, she was well served with all dishes she ordered, and even admired the food was delicious when i checked back on her. Ordered 3 hand shaker drinks, liked it had me make another HAND SHAKES drinks. Serving plastics utensils? Did she want to eat with just hands? AND NO, plastic utensils do not disappear after she leaves, server still gotta clear the table whether using plastic or ceramic dishes. Talking about tips? Sure, she was satisfied of what she ate and drank, but when signing the bill, she left $0 tip. It was obvious to tell she planned not paying tip at the begining regardless of anything. I said to her. U FORGOT TO LEAVE A TIP, She then took out $5 tip on a $82 bill. This was when she started getting upset, I only asked her one question, do you usually not tip or just tip $5 on a 82 dollar bill? That was when got upset and said that I was rude. How was that question considered as rude? LOL what a shame on this lady........

China Wok

The food is good Ive been coming here for over 10years. The previous owners I would have to say were a little bit better and they hired really good people. Maybe once here and there they hired someone that wasnt very friendly. But with the new owners all the people theyve hired either extremely hate their job or something causes them to act the way they do when theyre working because the Hispanic lady that was working around 3:45pm on August 6th didnt greet me. She bluntly asked me what do I want, how many items? and that was it. She rang me up and saw that I didnt tip her and while I was waiting for my egg flour soup I was watching her the whole time and she eyed my soup that was sitting on the cooks window sill 2 times and decided to take out the trash and go to the back instead of giving me my food because she saw that I didnt tip her. The Asian man that was working was really helpful and nice and very kind to all the other customers. But each customer she had, She didnt greet them either nor tell them have a nice day at the end of their transaction. Nothing. The only reason why Im giving three stars is because the food is decent and one person isnt the whole restaurant.
WaBa Grill
9811 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92841, United States
I give this place two stars only because I got better service from the cooks in the back than the younger cashier up at the front. I ordered online and went to pick up. The young cashier had her mask under her nose and she didnt greet me. Thats was fine, until I told her I was here for a online order and gave her my name. She went to look and didnt see my name, and then she just proceeded to continue to work on what she was doing. She looked at me but didnt say anything. Something along the lines of were working on it or something would have been enough. Customers came in and out and they were helped while I waited. She then left on what seemed like a break and the cook took over the cashier. Everyone was helped while I waited. The cook acknowledged me and then went to look at the orders and gave me my order that was sitting on the counter. She apologized, and thats fine. What I dont like is that the younger cashier needs training on customer service. She talks to people like she doesnt want to be there. It turns me off from returning to places like this.
Harbor Garden
14291 Euclid St D108-109, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
Harbor Garden has a high review rating for a good reason. The food is not greasy and it is flavorful. The food was served hot with a nice balance of ingreadients. The portion size is very fair relative to the price. Also, they do give free white rice with the entree when you dine in. On top of that, the hot green tea was served piping hot and it is free when you dine in with the entre. You just have to ask.The food is clean cooking. Meaning to say the food was not floating in oil and the mixture of protein to veggie ratio is very balanced. The flavor also have enough seasoning and spice that the ingredients have been enhanced instead of overwhelm or overpower the other ingredients. The flavor of the green tea is excellent and it really helps cleanse the palate and it helps with letting the food settle for the other entre. The service is superb. The servers were very attentive. And I had the lucky opportunity to talk to the manager. I found out that the chef is an authentic chef from China. Therefore, the flavors are uniquely authentic Chinese flavors as supposed to other Chinese restaurants. And they make the noodles fresh by hand in the kitchen daily. No extra preservative from factory bought noodles. That adds to the clean flavor and eats I mentioned earlier. The ambiant lighting is not dark or too bright. The smell is fabulous and not fishy. The accoustic in the restaurant has enough background noise but not so loud that you cant hear the conversation in front of you.The restroom is clean and it doesnt have a bad smell. The dining room is clean and there is enough space to walk between the tables and chairs. The dining room have a ton of space for huge parties.I suppose this is a great place to take huge families. Next door is owned by the same family and they sell boba and teas. So if one want to order from the boba shop next door, ask the server. If that isnt a good customer service, I dont know what is.I had a good experience dining here that felt compelled to write them a review. And no, I am not being paid for the review nor am I related to the owners.
NOVA Kitchen & Bar
12361 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
Our experience at this Asian fusion restaurant was outstanding from start to finish. Upon arrival for our reservation, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Our server, Dennis, went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. As first-timers, he patiently guided us through the menu, providing insightful recommendations. The food surpassed our expectations in every way. The calamari appetizer was perfectly crispy and flavorful, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. We opted to share several dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The highlight was definitely the chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream for dessert—a decadent treat that left us craving more. The drinks were expertly crafted and complemented our meal beautifully. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, adding to the overall ambiance.Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, the exceptional service provided by Dennis, and the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Well definitely be returning soon and recommending it to all our friends and family.
