The cashier gave an unpleasant welcome. she made me feel very unworthy. i give EXCELLENT reviews for this site, and she just gave me a very unpleasant experience. i paid over 60 dollars for 5 bowls and drove 24 minutes one way. I LOVED this location. i visit last week, and for the first time i heard a customer ask for sides of garlic serrano sauce (and she was given multiple). I never knew they even had that (as much as i go, go figure). So this visit, I ask the young lady may I have 2 sides of garlic serrano sauce and she told me, while giving a sour look, Well normally i would have to charge you for these. That just made me feel so bad, because not only did i just spend 60 for 5 bowls, they hardly had sauce which is the only reason I ask for 2! Also, I dont ask for ANYTHING to be given to me. i work hard for my money and pay for everything. so dont THINK you are doing me ANY FAVOR by saying what you NORMALLY do. if thats the case, YOU NEED TO BE CONSISTENT WITH ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS, RED, YELLOW, BLACK AND WHITE! Because im not asking for ANYTHING TO BE HANDED TO ME! Because of her, will NEVER give them my little service anymore

Service:Service was good the waiter was attentive and friendly. He kept checking up on us making sure everything was good and if we needed anything. Five stars on that.Ambiance:The atmosphere was ok nothing special. They were playing a lot of 2010s songs. There was another group of people. There was mostly workers eating at the time we arrived. The restaurant looked pretty clean and modern. It seemed a little strange that they have the entrance close and you must wait to be seated but then again it's hemet so it doesn't really surprise me.Food:Appetizers:We had the garlic edamame. I was expecting real garlic either fresh or the one that's comes in a jar at least that. Instead it was steamed edamame with a pile of garlic powder. I couldn't taste anything but the garlic powder and it burned. We also ordered jalapeño poppers. They were ok nothing really special. The jalapeño were raw and hard. It seem to be sorta half way cut and smeared with what seemed to be soggy tempura. Drowning in eel sauce spicy Mayo. Sitting on a weird bed of lettuce. The presentation was interesting to say the least.Food:We ordered a few rolls to share.Tried the Baked scallop roll. It was basically a giant California roll with a small thin slice of cucumber with no avocado buried under a pile of surimi. On top of the surimi was small penny size coins of scallops and also weird size pieces of some type of white fish. Garlic shrimp baked once again was disappointed and grossed out. California roll with a small thin slice of cucumber with no avocado buried under a pile of surimi. The roll was drenched in what seemed to be eel sauce and spicy Mayo. On top of that hot mess was a few curled up shrimp that seem to have been smothered in garlic powder. I could taste was dried up garlic powder. It was a soggy hot mess. I couldn't even pick up a peace of sushi with out it falling apart. The only roll that wasn't as discussing and drenched in stuff was the Alaska roll. It was ok it was missing the green onions but better than the other rolls. I drank my coke trying to get rid of the disgusting taste of garlic powder out of my mouth. Unfortunately it lingered until the next day.I love sushi I've been to good and bad places. I can honestly say this place was not good. It was not worth $100 we paid. I rather go somewhere else that makes a descent roll. We should have left when we got the garlicky powder edamame. But you live and learn. I don't recommend this place.

Updated from going there more! Because theyre good!Again, a foreword to Hemet residents, sushi takes time. Unless youre at the bar expect to wait a bit. That sushi. If you are at a table and throw a fit because you havent gotten your food within 20 minutes and they are busy, you are a baby and everyone will know it.Anyhow, Ive tried about 7 of the rolls now and theyve all been beautifully constructed! The double pleasure roll had a bit much for veggies for me but I know many would love it, the dragon roll with its eel tastes delicious, the sauce is just sweet enough, and it goes down smooth. On busy nights (remarkably theyre even busy on Mondays, when I first went) it can get a little hectic but as taxed as the waitresses might be they never show it and have shown a great deal of patience with myself as well as others. Overall, I think theyre great and a wonderful addition to the city, theyre growing nicely and the owner/manager dialogues openly with you if you have any concerns. I appreciate that. Website could use a little work but I mean I go here for sushi not for web browsing. That said they have a nice gallery on the site if one is curious. Thats cool.An aside, This place both makes me happy for hemets future and simultaneously makes me disappointed in the residents of hemet. The atmosphere is great but some of the older customers the first time I went were insanely demanding of attention and slowed down the whole process for everyone. 3 older ladies basically taking up the attention of one of the chefs the entire time they were there with their demands. That said the staff there handle it all in stride and you get your delicious sushi. Good stuff.

We came at the end of January and it was a mess. Busy, out of control, staff arguing. We left after 45 minutes of a terrible service without ordering. Decided to come back and give it another try. Benefit of the doubt. One reason we left that night is that the owner (appeared to be) kept smoking next to the partially open door. Gross, but also Im allergic. I did share this as I left last time. Finally went back. Noticed still a bunch of cigarette butts by doors. Nasty. Also disrespectful to the property in general. You dont care about your space? And others? My favorite was garlic noodles with filet and chicken satay. Not the same. Used to crave and devour it, didnt even want to eat it at all. It used to come out hot wok fresh and SUPER garlicky. It was lukewarm at best, barely any flavor... just oily noodles. And the satay was dry and broke apart, cold in the middle. No way this was cooked fresh to order.I dont think the same cooks are there, and I miss the girls that used to run the whole show - they were amazing. Not so friendly now (except one). Also appeared to be special treatment for friends.Waited 10 minutes at counter to pay while to go order was being taken. There were so many people there available to help! This used to be the spot where we brought guests, which we will never do again and quite frankly, wont even bring ourselves back. You had a good thing. We will miss it.

It was a enjoyable meal. It was a Asian fusion more than an Vietnamese restaurant due to the fact that they had certain things that were usually with a Korean or Japanese restaurant. But I did like the food. The young Lady running the front of the house was great she was very understanding and patient. Due to the misunderstanding of having an important phone call come in while we were trying to order a meal.

9-11-22 pretty consistent visits now the three for 11 meals are pretty good and a good value. There will be some wait time for pickup expect 20 minutes or so but they seem to be sort staff and working really hard. The burger was really good as well as the new chicken tender type sandwich along with the fries and sides definitely will continue to come back. Be careful with the upsells theyre not mentioned as an upsell until it comes time to pay2-22-20 Got the fajitas and the theyre great for $122-15-2020 Update...The wait time is no joke during the weekends. Service is tough during that time also. Make sure to get on their email list to get some free chips and salsa.12-14-19 Update.... Another great visit; again the staff is awesome and accommodating. Refills are on point and fixes to any issues are quick even during busy times. Glad the management/owner give the members the authority to make necessary adjustments.Food is good and the 3 for 10 is a good deal.Try the mango tea; its good and burger was not just a frozen patty.Update as of 4-2019...Our server was excellent, plenty of refills and add-ons for our table and this was peak dinner time during a Tuesday evening.Chips and salsa were nice; being they were warm; cause who doesnt prefer warm chips. The burger was of better quality than their competition that does the bottomless fry thing (think similar to blue bird). Speaking of fries, these were well seasoned.Try the 3 for a 10 offer, theres value there.
