PhoTasia Restaurant
5329 University Dr, Irvine, CA 92612, United States
Pho Tasia is a clever name that combines Pho and Taste. It also conjures up images of a magical experience from Disney's Fantasia.Do the food taste magical? Not quite, but I vouch it is the best Vietnamese food near UCI - unless we drive to Westminster or San Gabriel (search for Golden Deli). It is much better than nearby Phans55 and Pho So 1, which are average. Pho Tasia family also run Pho Ba Co and Ha Long, which are good too.Everything on the menu tasted great - pho (hot noodle soup) or bun (cold vermicelli salad); grilled beef, chicken, pork, pork chop, or shrimp; steamed egg meatloaf, fried egg rolls, cold spring rolls, various dessert drinks, and even the fish sauce.Prices increased $1-2 in last few years, but they are still reasonable in Irvine standard. I like the value platter which include a little bit of everything. Tips: If you order any rice plate, you may add $1 to get a lemonade.I recommend you also try Thuan Kieu Noodle & Grill. They specialize in broken rice and grilled meats. They opened a new locate next to Chipotle on Irvine Blvd at Culver Dr.Enough food fantasy. I need to get back to work, so I can pay my food bill. :-p

Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
5365 Alton Pkwy Suite H, Irvine, CA 92604, United States
I ordered online and did a pick-up. I always try to arrive about 5 minutes before my estimated pick-up time, and when I got there, my food was already waiting for me, which was awesome. My husband and I shared the three person family value pack. The portions were great, and it was enough for both of us. We had leftovers of some of the entree and rice. I dont think Id recommend it for three full sized adults, but if it were two adults and a kid who doesnt eat much, then that would probably be good. I rated the food four stars because the chocolate dipped fortune cookies were probably the worst dessert Ive ever had. They were hard as bricks, and the chocolate looked kinda weird. BUT they also gave us regular fortune cookies, which were great. Also, the honey chicken wasnt what I expected. It wasnt bad, but it didnt really taste like honey. It had more of a sweet and sour type taste. Again, its not bad, but I wouldnt order it if youre actually looking for that honey flavor. Service was quick and friendly. Will for sure go back!

Im giving it a really good review and I havent even eaten it yet, or stepped into the restaurant. I havent met an employee or seen the outside, and its still a good review. I ordered a simple chicken and veggies fried rice through Grubhub and asked for a side note to have steak and shrimp added (and I they can adjust the price manually if necessary, the app said they allowed that) and I got my request AT NO CHARGE. Good business right there, and I dont know a thing about the location. This is my first time ordering so Ill take it as a one-time thing :)Going into the food. I like my fried rice to be not clumpy (cuz then you have steamy mushy white rice clumps that are fried on the outside). This rice is PERFECT for me. The rice doesnt clump even after a 15 minute delivery time and a paragraph of review. The chicken, beef and shrimp taste amazing and the veggies make the whole dish a good balance.5/5, Im definitely gonna try coming in soon and leaving them all a good tip for their incredible service and another one of their delicious meals.

When PS first opened it was great it actually had Asians preparing Chinese food, now it is prepared Hispanically. The interesting thing is that the food all tastes exactly the same wherever you get it or who ever prepares it, just like a bowl of Ramen! PS was bought out by a big corporation several years ago, since then they 1- upped their prices, 2- reduced the portion sizes, 3- stopped sending promotions to loyal customers and 4- decided that Customer Service went from the Customer to them along with the Customers money. I used to go there 3 times a week, every week. We laughed about needing a PS fix. Now I dont go there at all. Try Shanghai Pine Gardens on Balboa Island. Bigger portions, lower prices and traditional Chinese food.

I was very disappointed that none of their noodle dishes are vegetarian because of their use of chicken and other animal stock. Such an easy change that really wouldnt effect the flavor, while making so many more of their dishes accessible to people who do not consume meat. I know Ive gotten Pick Up Stix before, and there was no mention of the animal stock used in the noodles. I thought they were vegetarian. I feel like back then I was unkindly tricked. If I wouldve known back then, I would have ordered different or gone somewhere else.Though I was disappointed with the vegetarian options and will not be purchasing from Pick Up Stix again until they change their ingredient list, the person who helped me went out of his way to make sure what dishes were suitable for vegetarians. He didnt guess. He pulled out an ingredient list and looked at it carefully. I very much appreciate the effort. I made sure to tip him.

Krave Asian Fusion Restaurant

Came through for a birthday and was pleasantly surprised by its proximity to work. It was a literal 5 minute drive! Ive had this place bookmarked for quite some time, so I was very excited to try them out for their much acclaimed KFC (Korean fried chicken). They have an amazing lunch special deal and the menu had plenty of variety - a lot more than I had expected. I thought they were just a place for KFC, but they had ramen, bibimbap, burgers, katsu and more. I was a little stumped on what to try as a first timer, but I stuck to my first selection with the 8 wings with fries lunch combo for $9.99.You can get more than one flavor, so I decided to get half black peppercorn and half soy garlic. For your fries, you get a choice of ranch, ketchup or sriracha ranch. When the food arrived, there was a bit of a mix-up - not sure if it was the fault of the server or ours, but a few plates got swapped. Since most of us have never been here, we didnt know what things were supposed to look like.My plate ended up being the soy garlic and mango habanero. My friend across me somehow ended up with mine after switching with another persons plate previously. It was a game of musical plates and we didnt know what things were until everything was half eaten. I was sorely disappointed that I never got to try the black peppercorn, so my experience here could have been better. However, the soy garlic wings were quite tasty and the table favorite. For the lunch deal, it was pretty good and way more filling than I thought it would be. I wished I had more time to explore the menu, but maybe Ill return when Im not crunched for time on a work day.

Urban Seoul Restaurant
2750 Alton Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92606, United States
As mentioned in other Yelp reviews, the service at Urban Seoul is attentive and great. This is the first Urban Seoul location to open up (another one is located at the Irvine Spectrum Shopping Center). Located in the Diamond Jamboree Plaza, this Asian Fusion restaurant is relatively smaller than the Spectrum location, but it is DJ, so the parking situation is ever so present.Food ordered:1. Chorizo Kimchi Fried Rice: 4/5 -I expected to see/taste chorizo sausage bits in the kimchi fried rice, but I think the chorizo part may be more of the flavoring of the dish overall. Instead, I did notice chunks of pork belly (maybe they ran out of chorizo?). The kimchi fried rice portion of the dish is interesting since it does not actually contain kimchi, rather, the kimchi sour and spicy flavor and color is immersed in the rice. Overall, the Chorizo Kimchi Fried Rice was yummy, just not what I expected from the menu item name and description.2. Korean Pork Belly Tacos: 5/5 -Out of all the meats available: Pork Belly, Gogi, Spicy Pork, Grilled Chicken, and Tofu, my friend, who has been here before, enjoyed the pork belly the most. The tacos were 2 corn tortillas, stuffed with pork belly chunks, romaine lettuce, kimchi, and drizzled with a spicy mayo/house sauce. There was a lot of flavors in the tacos and they nicely complemented each other.

Great food. Always nice to have a full bar at an Asian food restaurant. The tuna spring rolls are masterful fusion while the pho remains the best in Orange County.

Southern Spice

One of our family friend recommended this restaurant. When we went there we were scared as it was empty. The moment we opened the door one server guided us a table. Gave us water and asked us to Scan qr code for menu & order. We scanned and tried to order but it was not letting us order before we register and put email, phone and etc etc. So we called the server and he really helped by taking order on paper. We ordered starter Chinese bhel, dumplings, soup & noodles. The bhel was very fresh crisp and well garnished. We liked it coz it was very different from other places. The spices were just perfect. Next came the soup which was hot, prepared fresh coz the veggies added still had crunch. We loved every drop of it. So this Soup was served by a different server, who was slow in putting the soup from serving tray to our table. He himself realized it and told us that he is new and works at the restaurant next door. His name was UDAY. He was very good as he filled my water twice and also asked us if the starter was okay and if we need anything spices for soup to which we said no as the soup was perfect. So finally he served Dumplings & Noodles. I was blown away with the garnishing and aromas. The dumplings were spot on and the schezwan sauce was very flavorful. The Noodles were also very fresh and just enough hot to please the palate. We requested UDAY to get some Cold water as the water first served was at room temp. He not only gave me cold water but also was courteous to ask me to try and let him know if we needed any ice. He was very attentive towards the three tables he was serving not like the other server who was on his phone at the bar. We enjoyed our food, the ambiance was also very very good with high ceilings, painting and beautiful interiors. In fact everything was likeable. UDAY even told us that we can buy these addon sauces if we like. He told us little bit about the restaurant next door which we are going to try soon. In fact besides the food this Server was the reason of making our visit a pleasure as I remember that I dropped a fork and the moment it happened UDAY not only gave me a new fork but also picked the dropped one for me. What more can you expect from a restaurant. I was happy and left the restaurant with smile and waving to the hero UDAY. So 5 star interiors, 6 star food, 7 star service & of course 8 stars for the Chef. I also want to appreciate the owners and managers who are managing this place so well. Its a Gem and need to be replicated or chained so this good food and excellent service is all over socal. I am ordering my event catering soon and highly recommend this place. Request people to try them out and support them because we want more eating places like these. One most important thing is the prices - prices are very reasonable and compared to the quality and freshness of the food. Its NOTHING. There is one thing which I will suggest- the quantity of the Dumplings is weird. I will say I dont mind if you charge more but all other places serve 8 to 10 dumplings at the same price but this place serves 3. Dont get me wrong its not a complaint but just a suggestion from a guy who owned a chain of restaurants and is a excellent chef himself. Thanks Southern Spice & special thanks to UDAY for the excellent service. Here are some pic of interiors & food.

BEWARE of this restaurant! Today I went there and ordered 1 tandoori paneer burrito and the lady (cashier) accepting order repeated after taking my order 1 Tandoori CHICKEN burrito. I immediately corrected her :NO NO NO NO I want 1 tandoori paneer burrito and make sure it is only vegetarian as I have SEVERE ALLERGIES from meat products. She assured me and showed me the bill that it is going to be vegetarian paneer tandoori burrito. I believed her and after eating half of the burrito, I realized that she gave me CHICKEN burrito. I became very scared as I have severe allergies from meat products. I went back to them and complained about it and that lady and a guy at cash counter were TOTALLY UNAPOLOGETIC about what they did. When I tried to discuss it with other customers to give them a headsup and ask them for help, that lady and guy said to me: DO NOT DISTURB OTHER CUSTOMERS AND DONT CREATE A SCENE. Take your money($16, price that I paid for burrito) back and go. I am scared if I collapse or have some health issues, who will take care of me as my family is not around at the moment. I have attached the pics of my order receipt which says Tandoori paneer burrito( vegetarian) and the aluminium foil on roll which has lable paneer which is a vegeatrian product and a third pic which shows chicken inside my burrito. I never had chicken earlier so I showed it to multiple customers that were present in theat restaurant and they all said it is chicken. I am writing this long negative review not only because I am afraid about my health but also to give A HEADSUP TO ALL THE EXISTING AS WELL AS NEW CUSTOMERS TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU OR YOUR FAMILY/LOVED ONES HAVE ANY ALLERGIES because the workers and/or owners here really dont care about you or your health.
