Chapter Two California Kitchen
24957 Redlands Blvd, Loma Linda, CA 92354, United States
My husband and I have eaten at many Thai restaurants. This hole in the wall Thai restaurant is a gem! We stopped here on a trip as we were staying close by and decided to give it a try as we love Thai.First of all, you feast with your eyes before you eat and they did this superbly with presentation and colors. The flavors matched the eye candy. The salad that came before was unexpected and the dressing was really good! This is in our top 3 places for Thai curry, which is what we both had. They served the curry in a beautiful china looking bowl and it just added to the array of colorful vegetables that went so well with the curry flavors. I had pineapple shrimp and the shrimp were large and had as many as a more expensive restaurants. My husband had a combination of protein and they had everything in it. He loved it! We usually like more coconut milk in our curry, but the flavors were so good, we didnt miss it, at all.We had the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was the most colorful Ive had. Purple rice, from a mix of black and white, with chopped mango and strawberry with the yummy sauce. It was excellent!Oh, and the price?! Its a steal for the amazing flavor and quality of food. The owners were very friendly and we were glad to find this place. Go support them! You wont be sorry!!(We didnt take our phones in, or we wouldve taken photos)

This comment is about the customer service. When you ask what is in the bowl, I got the answer whatever is pictured now clearly I cannot see what is under the pictured veggies. Cashier then continued to defend the cooks (who rang my order) behavior by stating well hes just the cook and doesnt know what goes in there, its the cashiers job but I was probably on break. Coming from giving proper customer service in the past, Im not saying customers always right but man up and say a simple I apologize for the service that was rendered, dont continue to make the situation bigger than it is. This could have been squashed within the first 30 seconds. Just by her voice she seemed to be annoyed by the way she gave short defensive answers. I then said I didnt mean to make you upset, I mean cmon I was nice enough to acknowledge the fact that she was clearly upset of something she was not in control of. At the end I asked if they try not to put cooks in as cashiers if they are not familiar with the menu. Again cashier was short and unconvincing and said sure. I then ended with its okay clearly this wont be solved through you. I will call tomorrow and speak with a manager. FYI, its upsetting cuz my order was incomplete and I couldnt leave my station cuz Im a nurse and had just started my shift for the night. Very bland dinner

Ordered two salmon meals through DoorDash and the Salmon was sour.I called the restaurant to complain yet couldn't speak to the manager because he didn't speak English.I was forced to now drive to the location where I was advised that the new order was not made with the same fish, yet it taste exactly the same. I was glad that I didn't leave before tasting the 2nd order. I was able to bring it back in where I ended up leaving irritated and with two steak meals instead. I was advised I could speak to a GM the next morning.Update: I called and was able to speak with the District Manager Ishmael and he was very understanding of my concerns and genuinely apologetic. He went above and beyond to rectify this challenge and for that I am truly grateful.

First off let me start off by saying we were already hesitant to eat hear due to the high prices, but we said hey why not. For what you pay, the food is “okay”, and not that great at all.Second we were approached by the gentlemen that seems to be one of the owners and rudely said we do not allow outside food especially if it's not vegan. So, to begin with, yes we brought a small tray of sushi in, but it was indeed vegan! Photos will be provided for proof. The only reason why we brought it in with us is because my girlfriend is pregnant and we'll if anyone that has a baby or will be having one knows how cravings can get, momma and baby need what they're craving! Not to mention there was no sign posted anywhere on the door saying no outside food was allowed, and if not what if someone is diabetic and needs a certain food? I also don't see the problem when we do things like this all the time with other establishments and we've never had an issue. Also instead of jumping to conclusions why not ask your customer first who just spend $73 for food! What a way to make someone feel very uncomfortable. I'm sorry if your ego was hurt and you felt some type of entitlement, but we simply catered to the pregnant momma and I don't regret it as I put my family first before anything. She was the one that even recommended the place for us to eat after getting her sushi and she was like never again will we go back and I couldn't agree more.FYI the photo below is the receipt to show we got vegan rolls not animal sushi in case this post gets removed I will post it again without the receipt because I know how these reports work. The other photo is to show there is no signage of no outside food allowed.
