Thailusion

My buddy and I went here to try a new place and wanted some thai so chose this place in lieu of Coconut Rabbit in the area. We went there on our lunch hour so time was limited. For starters, our sweet and sour soup took 15 min to come out. Like really, how hard is it to take a ladle and pour in a small bowl. I guess there was a large group who phoned ahead and they got there by the time we got our soup. Thinking, ok, they are just adjusting. Nope, took another 15 min after the soup for my friend to get his thai fried rice. Yup, 30 minutes after ordering to get fried rice with chicken in it. So there we are, him with his food and me now waiting for my yellow chicken curry. I kept being told one more minute, three more minutes, one more minute. At this point, frustrated, I ask again and was told another minute. Another nearly 15 min later, my food comes out, and our lunch hour is almost over and my friends food is getting cold cause he was polite to not eat while I waited. When the food finally comes out, it is like really, this took this long. It was a small bowl of curry with steam rice. At this point, we had been there 40 min.As if it couldnt get any better, my friend went to pay the bill of $21.50 with his cash and my card. He gives her a $20 and tells her $12 cash and rest on card. She ridiculously charges $1.50 on my card and takes the cash. Now, I have to go get up myself and it takes another 10 min to sort out. On top if, I see a little gem while leaving the table to go to front..... my plate had a big chip in the corner. Awesome ending I suppose. The whole time the staff was not unapologetic other than the useless so sorry. We finally left the place and it is 1p and have to rush back.I dont care if this place might make food that gives you goose bumps or not, the experience was the worst ever I have experienced. Getting a fresh warm pizza from Little Caesars is a more satisfying experience than this place. The couple before us complained about their 25 min wait for their food and the poor lady next to use who got there about 12:15 and on lunch as well, was still waiting for her food when we left.

Pho 99 Plus
3620 Katella Ave, Los Alamitos, CA 90720, United States
My retired parents have been eating here almost everyday, and believe me, my Asian mom is especially picky about her Asian food dining experience. When I was in town, I went with them and saw why theyve made Pho99 Plus their regular dining experience. The pho or noodle soup is served in a large bowl with tasty broth and plenty of meat and vegetables. My folks especially like the combo pho which combines eye round steak, brisket, and meatball. They also serve tasty chicken wings, from 6 to 50 pieces, slathered with seasoned barbecue sauce. My dads favorite is the rice plate beef and stir fried tofu onions and broccoli. For beverage, they can serve you Vietnamese iced coffee or boba bubble tea.The owners mom who helps out with the business confessed to me that the pandemic has slowed business down and that theyre in survival mode now, which is a shame since it doesnt have to be that way since you can eat there now. They have COVERED PATIO DINING, which is nice on a breezy summer evening. Or, if you just want to do take out, they have that too. They do all the regular e-food take out apps also.Pho99 is on Katella Ave, right next to McDonalds, but for about the same cost, you can get a better tasting and much healthier meal at Pho99. McDonalds has enough of your money, so support small business, the back-bone of America.Pho99
Kampai Sushi House

So Ive ben coming to this place for more then a year. About once a month or every other month. Sushi has gotten expensive in most areas and some places I feel dont even try. This place how ever knocks it out the park every time. The food always tastes fresh and I always order the same thing. The kill bill and the 911 both spicy tune style rolls and the rainbow roll wich is my favorite! Ive never dined at the restaurant But from what I can tell The Times that Ive walked in its always clean staff is always friendly and the place for the most part is usually busy . However I call ahead every time and they are honest with the wait time and sometimes even faster than what they originally tell me. You cant go wrong here at this location Ive had different roles and they have all been very good. The quality of the fish is the main selling point for me because it always taste fresh and the texture is perfect. Parking can get a little tricky at times but since I call ahead I always plan ahead and know where to park on the street or other side of the shopping center but thats only if its super busy on a Friday night or something. Over all 10 out 10.!
Fuji Revolving Sushi Bar
5373 Katella Ave, Los Alamitos, CA 90720, United States
READ ABOUT UPDATED VISIT. WORTH THE READ TO LEARN ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT==============================================If you love dinner and a show I recommend you visit Fuji Revolving Sushi Bar. Easy access & plenty of parking, since its located near Costco. They have numerous menu items to choose, ranging from soups to single item plates to full dinners. And, in this reporters opinion, its all good no its XLNT. I will admit I always order the same thing BUT, if one dish is great shouldnt everything be delicious? My first visit was a while back & I forgot to rate, but now Im on it. We were greeted upon arrival with a big smile by the knife yielding sushi king but weve also been met at the door by a delightful host/server. I usually like booths when dining out but, here, I wanted the counter. WHY? Because they have, as advertised in their name, a revolving sushi bar. Its like a train of covered food that doesnt stop....not ever. Its so mesmerizing, watching a nonstop variety of plated sushi travel around the restaurant and pass by every seat at the counter & each of their booths. I also believe Ive seen a couple desserts tucked in between the large variety of finger food items aka sushi. If you dont find what you like remember that knife yielding sushi king I mentioned? Hes right there ready to slice, dice and roll up your selection from the menu. Its also a child friendly place to eat. The one place kids wont leave their seats but remain visually entertained during dinner. You wont leave hungry.===============================================UPDATED REVIEW================================================Recently visited prior to a live performance. The restaurant was quite full and we werent sure about timing. I advised receptionist/server about our time and needed to be out the door within 45 mins. He checked with kitchen and came back and said Ill take your order and if you pay before itll be faster when youre done. We paid & tipped and within 8mins our meal was sitting in front of us. We had a comfortable time to eat and made it out the door withing 40mins. Restaurants which make the effort to accomodate their customers should be acknowledged in an open forum such as this. In my opinion they still deserve their 5 stars.===============================Hey Fuji Revolving Sushi Bar, how about a shout out to me for my review? We are regular customers.======================================
Residence Inn by Marriott Cypress Los Alamitos
4931 Katella Ave, Los Alamitos, CA 90720, United States
My husband and I booked a hotel block at the Residence Inn Cypress Los Alamitos for ourselves and our wedding guests. Having never done anything like this before and not having a wedding planner I was in desperate need of some guidance. After reaching out I was quickly contacted by a member of the sales team for Marriott via email. Matthew Riccio was extremely helpful and provided us with a great deal and all the information we needed, well over a year and a half out of our wedding date, which put us at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. A contract was drawn up to secure our rooms and was signed within a couple days of my initial contact with Matthew.Fast forward to October 2021. Check in was easy and they did a great job of adding additional rooms to our block when some of our guests needed a little bit more room. Gina Cole and Lisa Lane were both present to check in my maid of honor and I the day prior to the wedding and assisted in accommodating early check in so that we could make it the ceremony rehearsal. The hotel was pretty busy, but we were still attended to timely. The hotel even provided our guests with welcome packages. It was all very thoughtful and so appreciated. The hotel provided a breakfast buffet in the morning consisting of scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, bananas, oranges, and cereal. There was also juice, tea, and coffee available. This worked out perfectly as my bridal party and I got ready at the hotel the morning of the wedding. We didnt have to travel anywhere if we didnt want to and it made the morning after the wedding simple. I only wished they have some hash browns in the breakfast buffet. My husband and I had the single suite which was large enough for what we needed and Gina was nice enough to give us a room with a fireplace and a view of the pool. My maid of honor had the 2 bedroom suite where my bridal party of 4 and I got ready plus my mom and sister. The rooms have full size fridges and freezers. The 2 bedroom suite had a full stove and oven and was equipped with plates, cups, mugs, and utensils. The rooms were clean and presentable. The staff at the hotel was pleasant and polite. Given the public health guidelines in the OC, masks were required in public spaces of the hotel, but only a handful of guests wore their masks in the public space. Despite, this I felt comfortable in the hotel and spent the majority of time in one of our rooms in a non-public space. I would highly recommend staying at the Residence Inn Cypress Los Alamitos.
