Boo Koo
25 Miller Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941, United States
Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Boo Koo Peanut Noodles with Hoisin Pork and a side of Brussels Sprouts. The pork in the noodles was meaty and fatty and amazing! The flavor of the peanut sauce with all of the vegetables and noodles was perfect. The Brussels sprouts were very good as well. A little more done than I normally like mine cooked, but the flavors were delicious and the helping generous. Plus there is a surprise at the end; some extra veggies which have soaked up the extra sauce.I highly recommend this restaurant if youre looking for some great Asian-fusion!

Update: I'm reducing this rating to 3 stars because they changed their menu to be much more limited. The laaazi chicken is very good but battered and fried, just like the sweet and sour chicken. There are no more fish dishes. The chow mein is not GF. We haven't been back much because everything is fried, spicy, meat forward, or gluten forward (or a combo). No longer my cup of tea.Old review: 5 starsI absolutely love this place. I've eaten in the restaurant, I've had both takeout and delivery, and I've even been to the location in the city! The fish under water is fire (I have to get it every time), kung pao chicken and sweet and sour chicken are amazing. (When I had the sweet and sour cauliflower I found it to be a little one-note and just sweet). I would say I've been disappointed by the “jade rice” because, as you can see from the photo, it hardly has any kale. But the egg rolls, salads, and desserts are great. And so are the beverage options.Hands down, the #1 reason I eat here is not just because it's delicious, but because of the better-for-you ingredients. Fish, grass fed beef, all the vegan options, the gluten free sweet and sour batter— this is a place where you can eat what you want and still feel great after. Also I find the prices to be super reasonable.I'm so happy this place is in Mill Valley. Please eat here! You won't regret it.

Avatars Punjabi Burritos
15 Madrona St, Mill Valley, CA 94941, United States
Chicken Curry Burrito was good. Is it worth an hour drive? No. Is worth it if youre a local. Yes. Luckily, I was in town already. The indian tortilla is thick, like a home-made Maseca corn-flour tortilla eat immediately or it will be hard. The rice and chicken were great, but at the bottom of my burrito I found a different sweet taste (fruit chutney, candied apple taste), that I didnt like. Definitely would of ruined the burrito if it was throughout it, luckily it was at the end. Next time I would order it without the fruit chutney.

FLOODWATER
152 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941, United States
It was fine. Its a little pricey for typical bar fare and its not like the food was super high quality. It took a while for anyone working behind the bar to even acknowledge us, let alone give us menus. Once we finally got our menus, its like suddenly we were visible and a bartender came over to take our orders, about ten seconds after we got them. The food is just okay and a little on the expensive side. $18 for a hamburger and french fries that probably cost them no more than a $1 to actually make is a little ridiculous. If it was like top quality ground beef, sure. This was probably your basic chuck. The fries had basically no flavor, which is a little mind boggling. I could see that they were seasoned, they just didnt have any flavor to them. The baos were actually pretty good. The bread was soft and warm and the filling wasnt bad.The cocktail and beer prices are about standard for a bar in the Bay area, so no real complaints there. All in all, it was a rather forgettable experience and perfect for being paired with Holiday Inn. Its somewhere you go because its not really possible to go anywhere else and everything is just ho hum and generic. Absolutely nothing about this place stands out.

Harmony Restaurant
800 Redwood Highway, Suite 401, Frontage Road, Mill Valley, CA 94941, United States
I have been coming to Harmony for years and years as a Marin resident. Though I have eaten in the restaurant on occasion (friendly service though slow sometimes), I generally grab takeout. Most of the time, I have arrived and wait in line at the takeout case. Last night (2/27/19) I pre-ordered as it was pouring down rain and I was on the highway, and I knew that Harmony would have a long line. I arrived, signed the receipt and went home. When I got home, I inspected the receipt. It was $25.00 more than the gajillions of prior visits to the takeout window. The bill was $67.11. I looked at the size of the food cartons, and the contents. I took a picture. The food was nothing more / nothing less than prior orders. The only difference was that I had ordered by PHONE as opposed to being there in person at the case. When I called to inquire about why the $25.00 premium cost, I spoke first with Mackenzie who kept telling me they charge by weight. She then got Norman, the manager who explained that for all phone orders they charge the flat menu cost because they DONT weigh it. So.....fellow take-out orderers who care about their hard-earned money.......never ever order ahead of time by phone unless you want to pay through the NOSE. They will charge you a minimum of at least $25.00 MORE for the luxury. Thats the cost of at least another entree! Insanity. We went around and around and got nowhere. Being charged $25.00 premium because you pre-ordered by phone and they dont weigh the food as if they would if you were at the case when ordering makes no sense at all, and total gouging if you ask me. And there was no apology or understanding whatsoever towards a long-term loyal customer. They know Marin has few options...their food is generally good and quick....and they have relatively next to no competition in the general area. So...what do they do to their long-term loyal customers? They gouge them with at least an additional $25.00 per phone order just because the person ordered by phone! You could go buy roughly 4-5 lbs of chicken with that at the grocery store. Insanity. Buyer beware....NEVER CALL AHEAD, if you frequent this place.
