Tofu Bean Korean BBQ
18409 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Been to a lot of different great Korean Soon Tofu restaurants in San Gabriel Valley Area. Because I was shopping in the area, I couldnt make it back to my home area in time, so I found this place because they open later than most Korean Tofu houses in the area. If you dont want to drive all the way to Koreatown, or SGV. for good Korean food. Just come here, it will do your craving.1. Great ambience: Clean with lots of seating, Cool Saltwater Aquarium, Big TVs with Korean Shows playing, Comfortable tables.2. Great Selection: Has all the usual Tofu House Combinations, plus not usual combination options such as Tonkatsu. Excited to try their other dishes that you usually have to go to a different specialty Korean restaurants to get like (Beef Bone Soup) Kalbi Tang, (Gingseng Chicken Soup) Samgaetang and other dishes.3. Great Quantity & Price: They could charge more if they wanted to, but they choose to keep it at an affordable market price. They gave great portions for the price. We ordered the Combination Tofu with Tonkatsu with another order of Soon Tofu. Tried the Seafood Tofu (Shrimp and Clam), max Spicy and the Beef Tofu, Spicy. Was thoroughly satisfied, Plenty of soft tofu, in both the combination and regular size. Most tofu places give less tofu, in their combination tofu. Not this place.4. Legit Korean food: You know its legit when older generation Koreans eats their too. But you know its not to hardcore when buncha non Koreans eat their was well. Weve had our share of Korean food in Koreatown L.A and in Seoul, Korea. This place executes their dishes very well. Not common for a restaurant to execute well on multiple types of dishes. I was pleasantly surprised that their Tofu House dishes excelled, and their Tonkatsu excelled. Most of the time you cant get the best of both worlds. This place delivered. The Tonkatsu was large, crispy, fresh, juicy. Just as good as a Tonkatsu specialty restuarant. It was simple though, but did the job. Came with shredded cabbage with special thousand island like sauce, and instead of Katsu/Curry sauce, they used this Sesame Cream Peanut dressing sauce that paired very well with it.The selection of the side dishes or pan chan isnt as variety than other types of Korean restaurant. But they give the Basic ones, and they do it very well, taste fresh. No seaweed, but comes with classic Potato salad, Spicy Cucumber Kimchi, Sesame oil Bean Sprouts, Kimchi, and Steamed Broccoli. Their pan chan game was on the same level in terms of flavor as my favorite Tofu houses in San Gabriel Valley.5. Friendly and attentive staff: had the pleasure to speak with Christine who made sure we were taken care of and enjoyed everything, and the other staff was nice too. Gave us our side dish refills with no issue. No one should feel have to feel bad to ask for refills.
Chili House

Really tasty! Ive been here before and I know this is a Hunan restaurant and I cant eat spicy food, but many of the dishes here are super delicious! For example, like our Lao Gan Ma, I only use chopsticks to dip it in The chili oil makes me feel very spicy! But some dishes are very spicy but delicious, and some dishes are a little spicy but they are just right! And the non-spicy dishes are also super delicious, like the fried rice, which we have When I eat it, I always eat it with the tofu (forgot the name of the dish). Although it is a little spicy, it is really delicious with the fried rice! I really love this store, and the decoration is also very beautiful! The point is The location of this store is very good, and there are various delicious restaurants nearby. Opposite this store is a milk tea shop (dessert shop), and it is very comfortable and lively when eating here at night. It really makes me feel like I have returned to China. Feeling! I think the price is okay, not that expensive and the food is very filling. You just can't bring your own drinks? But you can order more drinks inside☺️
Garden Bistro
1390 Fullerton Rd #101, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Very nice clean restaurant by Garden Cafe chain. This is a Asian-Italian fusion restaurant serves mixture of pasta, pizza, stake, noodle, and rice dishes. Food is better than Garden cafe with slightly higher price and tend to be a bit heavy.
Hide Out Caf

Finally!!!! After so many times of making plans to come out to check this place out and not being able to make it, I finally did.First of all the location is in a plaza of restaurants and little shops but mainly restaurants. Theres plenty of parking as the parking lot is big. I was able to get a parking right away upon arriving. As soon as I got to the Cafe I signed up for the waiting list. We didnt have to wait too long to be seated.Service was good, one of the staff members approached me and did mentioned that we would be called as soon as our table was ready. Once we were seated our server gave us a few mins to go over our menu. He did take our drinks order right away as we were ready for it. We had the Boba Bear set, which honestly I came just for that :D Our order was taken and our server was friendly and would check we were okay.Food wise, our order consisted of the #Hash-tag waffle fries which included waffle cut fries topped with cheddar cheese, minced pork and a sunny side up egg. Flavor wise, I really liked it but I did feel the taste of the minced pork was too overpowering on the fries. Our next dish was the mild popcorn chicken, this one we all enjoyed. The next one was the Bbq Pork Belly w/rice and salad; this one consists of pork belly with a house-made bbq sauce topped with a sunny side up egg. Another similar came out but with out the sunny side up egg as my son does not like his egg like that. The pork belly was nice and tender and the salads dressing had a unique taste, delicious though. For dessert! We did Coco Waffle which had a belgian waffle with double chocolate waffle which made a delicious Coco waffle served with some yummy ice cream with pecan pieces. I do have to mention that the serving size is very generous and can feed 4 ppl lol. I did order also the Blueberry Waffle for my parents as it is not too sweet for them.Again I am extremely happy with our visit, our experience! I definitely recommend anyone to come out. Its such a cute place with delicious and yummy food. Just dont forget to take a photo with the bear at the entrance on your way out!
Cafe Gunul 2
1616 Nogales St, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
The kimchi pasta is a pretty good Asian fusion dish. It has a creamy sauce base along with some seafood taste. We also order a Ramen, however, it turns out to be subpar. The soup base has no flavor, the meats are mostly fat. The restaurant is pretty clean with very cool and hips decor. Parking is plenty. However base on the food I ordered, my verdict is still out.
Fresh Delicious
18414 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
UPDATE: They are back in business!! For a bit, it was marked as permanently closed back in June 2020 but they are definitely back! So happy because this is the absolute best place in town to get authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken! I dont really get drinks here. My rating is purely for the popcorn chicken. I cant shut up about how delicious, crispy, tasty, savory, tender their popcorn chicken is. They use dark meat and the seasoning is on point! Always fresh made! They offer many other snack items like fried tempura, tea eggs, green beans, sandwiches, some combo meal plates, and various drinks. Since they recently opened back up and appears theyve done some renovation to their space, they may have updated menu items. They are located inside the HK2 Food District building where the Hong Kong Supermarket is. Its a corner shop with some tables for seating and easy order to go. I believe there is a sign for wearing masks to be served but no floor markings to indicate social distancing. Youll have to do your own distancing. The plaza has plenty of parking and also has many people parking terribly. They only take CASH! You MUST have cash and EXACT change. I noticed now they dont give you exact change back. Didnt happen like this before but with the coin shortage, Im assuming thats why. They really should have a sign posted to explain this. The same ladies that were originally running the place are still there. They hired additional staff. They speak very little English. Have your cash and be ready to not get change back.Their chicken prices seems to have gone up. I paid $13.73 for 2 orders of popcorn chicken. Chicken comes in 1 size now, only LARGE. I gave $20.00 but only got $6.00 back so goodbye to the change. Im so happy they are back in business so I didnt care but will remember to have exact change next time.Anyway, get yourself some awesome popcorn chicken!!-----------THE BEST popcorn chicken YOU WILL HAVE. Always fresh!

Kobe Gyukatsu
19755 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Gyukatsu is a very popular dish in Japan. It is a deep-fried beef cutlet that is traditionally made with wagyu/Kobe beef. The cutlet is seasoned and coated in breadcrumbs before it is shortly fried until crispy. It is then served sliced into bite-size pieces. In restaurants, gyukatsu is usually accompanied by various sides that may include miso soup, sliced cabbage or other vegetables, pickled vegetables, dipping sauces, wasabi, barley rice, or tororo—grated yams.In Tokyo or any big cities in Japan, you would find restaurants in all sizes offer Gyukatsu beef, Chicken, and Pork. Sometimes you see restaurants offer half cooked Gyukatsu beef and provide customer a small coal fire stove to grill the Gyukatsu beef. I had this dish a few times when I was in Japan before the pandemic. When I saw a Gyukatsu restaurant opened right next to LA fitnessi in Arcadia, I wanted to try it out but didn't have a chance until now.We ordered a Gyukatsu Beef dinner set that came with soup and brown rice as well as a salad. We also got a Gyukatsu pork dinner set with udon. The beef was very tender and delicious. After going through grilling with the tiny stove, the beef became very flavorful. With the sauce, the beef tasted extra yummy. On the hand, the pork Gyukatsu was a bit dry. By adding a bit of the dipping sauce, the meat then was enjoyable to eat.The udon that came with the pork Gyukatsu was delectable. The noodle was done right. We loved this dish. There are other foods on the menu that we wanted to try but was too full. Will be back for more.
Sosom Ramen by Mister Bossam
18162 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Felt like it didn't live up to the hype. Food was just ok to good. Ordered the LA grilled cheese pork ribs, premium Bossam and buckwheat noodle in radish water. Funny thing is, cold buckwheat noodle was my favorite dish and it wasn't really what I was expecting. I wanted neng myun, which has chewier noodles and pairs well with hot mustard. I thought it was weird that they didn't have the mustard or offer scissors, which is typical for this type of dish. It wasn't until I looked at the menu more closely that I realized the menu just says buckwheat noodles in radish water. Cold broth was refreshing and noodles were more like soba than neng myun, but was pretty good. Definitely could have used hot mustard, but they did have vinegar which was enough to satisfy for the day. Premium Bossam didn't look anything like the picture, but price was reasonable, so not a lot to complain about except I've had better. Way better from places that don't especially specialize in Bossam. Anyway, was happy to check a place off my list. Last but not least, the pork ribs. The spicy sauce wasn't really that spicy. Ttuckboki or spicy rice cake was the best part here. Egg was decent and surprisingly, the sausage and pineapple paired well together. The ribs themselves didn't have a lot of flavor, but wasn't bad either. Just didn't have the pop of flavor I was expecting. Another ok dish. Banchan was light here also and service was underwhelming. We were supposed to get fried rice with the rib dish, but never got it. Had to ask for rice separately and our server never really checked back after our food came. I think they were under staffed, but that's not my fault. Left a 20% tip anyway, but getting tired of places using circumstances as an excuse. All she had to do was apologize or let us know they were understaffed and would have been cool, but think she was just upset at the situation and we were the first ones there to face the wrath.Pro tip: don't try to use the check in bonus. Not excepting it during Covid. Wow, a $0.50 soda can. I guess I'll never get to use it as I will not be going back. Happy to have tried it once, but nothing special to warrant a second trip. All four of us felt the same way
