Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors

Please dont eat here if you are expecting fresh food and decent service. My date and waited over 45 minutes for soggy food that tasted like plastic because it was microwaved in the containers and overcooked lumps of rice. The noodles were rubbery and congealed and looked and tasted like it was sitting in a fridge for two days and the won tons were slightly burned. I have tried the food at the San Pedro location and the food was good and fresh so I was really unpleasantly surprised at the lack of quality and the long wait for the food we ordered. I felt bad for my date because he spent over $50 for the food only to wind up with a lot of leftovers going into the trash. 1 star because their never selection was decent. Update: 2/25/24My date got sick with diarrhea and stomach cramps in the morning after he ate the leftovers he took home from the restaurant for breakfast. Ill definitely not be returning to this location and warning friends not to order from this place. Awful!

Easy enough place to get to. But I dont think Ill be coming back anymore. I used to go in there because I like the meatballs. I thought they were good. But lo and behold the power of suggestion. As the young woman behind the counter is scooping them into the dish, she states nobody ever order these, nobody likes them. And makes her face scrunched up like something smells bad.Uh huh. Great selling point.Ok. Well her statement sat with me for awhile. The meatballs were thrown out because I couldnt bring myself to eat them. Maybe they changed the recipe? Maybe other people just never liked them, but I did? I dont know. I didnt want to bring myself to eat them after the person who served them to me said that. Well done. And the meatballs were why I came to that restaurant. Ive only been there like five or six times and it was good. But now I have no incentive to go ever again.

Taishi Hainan Chicken

So glad I finally found a great hainese chicken place near my area! The best part is that it is also a thai chinese hainese chicken place, and it honestly makes me so happy since I grew up eating chicken over rice thai style most of my life. Their menu is limited but honestly it helps when youre not the best at narrowing down your options. I decided to get the fried chicken plate along with the free herbal chicken soup for checking in #protip. I have to say I enjoyed every bite from the soothing soup to the garlicky rice to the moist tender chicken to the flavorful sauces! They have amazing variety in their sauces but my favorite was definitely the classic thai hainese sauce. There wasnt anything that I didnt enjoy about the dish. It was definitely one of the best hainese chicken dishes I have had and is on par with my moms own hainese chicken.! Service !The service was super fast and prompt, and we were quickly greeted immediately as soon as we walked through the door. The person who took our order was especially nice, since he accomadated my order of extra garlic in my rice and additional sauces.!Price Point!Initially I thought the price was a bit on the expensive side for $13, but was I wrong! The portions were big enough for at least 2 people with heaps of chicken. The only downside was the rice to chicken ratio since there was sooo much chicken.!Ambiance!A great place to grab a quick sit down bite. Its set up where you order and pick up your food, similar to that of a food court.!TLDR!Definitely an amazing place to come grab delicious thai style hainese chicken. The service was great, the food was amazing, what more can you ask for.

Waba Grill Torrance is my go to for lunch/dinner in between my work meetings. They are quick and healthy and give the perfect balance between a delicious meal and a healthy meal. Perfect during our times that I dont have to wait long and my meal is ready to go in a very timely manner. The staff respects every customer through my multiple visits and the place is kept at a very clean standard. I order a chicken bowl with white meat and veggies. That gets me to a perfectly satisfied portion without feeling bloated or full so I can get on with my day. Ive been going to this Waba for over 3 years now and I have never been dissatisfied. If youre looking to make a healthy change to your lifestyle, Waba is such an easy way to start. I have told 2 of my friends to start eating Waba to start changing their lifestyle. I can only say they look better and better each time I see them. Consistency is key. Thank you to the Staff!

I went to this place based on the Google reviews. The food was fine, but I am disappointed with the portion and the way that they upsold the dish that I ordered.I ordered pad krapaw with sliced chicken breast. The waitress told me that it came with ground chicken breast and that I needed to pay an additional $2.00 if I wanted sliced chicken breast. If, according to her, the ground chicken was chicken breast, why should I pay more just because I wanted sliced chicken breast instead of ground chicken breast. This is the reason why I dont want ground chicken, because it is ground and it could be anything, but the real thing. Then, when I finally got my order, the chicken was cut in paper thin slices. Very thin slices spreaded on the plate just to make it look like it was a fair portion, but it was not.The thinner the slices, the less flavor, because thin pieces of chicken cant absorb the seasoning and spices as well as a thicker slice of chicken. Not only that, a thin slice of chicken can easily be overcooked, and it will just ruin the meal.I dont think that I might go back because I dont want to pay an additional $2.00 for such a small portion of chicken; plus the way they cut the chicken just to make more profit is not something that I would like to try again.

A little out of the way to go to at this point in life, but well worth the drive. It is located just off the freeway. Which is a really nice place to stop. The shopping plaza used to have a Target store there, but it is now been removed and they are building something new.Regarding the waba grill, the food is cooked when you get there, its served hot and ready to eat and with a smile and the question, Is there anything else I can do for you. My answer today was, No. They provided me with the two meals I ordered, the bottle of tea for my son and a glass of water with fresh ice for me. I love their little get it yourself bar that has fresh be cut onions and other greens. You can add these to your bowl to make it just a little more tastier.I have never had a complaint about any of the food that I I have eaten at Waba Grill. I do think the prices are a bit high based on others that have very similar products, but if theres no place else to go the extra buck or two arent bad.Restrooms are clean, tables are clean and the floors are kept spick-and-span.if youre down in the area and are hungry, drop in and see what they have to offer you.If you enjoyed my review please LIKE belie and if you get a chance please RATE me. As always thank you for your time and energy. Have a blessed life.

The chef's creativity shines through, everything was so good. I'd consider this place a true fusion restaurant. You can call to make a reservation, there's an outdoor patio with ample heat lamps. It's better to come here when you're not in a rush, the service is a bit slower, though attentive, so I'd allow 1.5-2 hrs for dinner. The clams in sake were cooked perfectly, the sake ‘broth' was really good, lots of green onion. The mochi and spicy cod roe naan was amazing, I loved it. I had the crab butter pasta, which was excellent. My daughter had the ramen carbonara and this dish was so good, so creative, and well done, with prosciutto and a soft boiled egg. Husband had the creamy chicken ramen which was good, an interesting flavor similar to a creamy cioppino. the desserts were also great, esp the Catarana, which was described as a frozen creme brûlée, and I loved it. We also had the homemade rum raisin ice cream and the hoji cha ice cream. The hoji tea flavor was really good. I think the rum raisin one had too many raisins, but still good. We drove 40 minutes to check this place out and we can't wait to come back.

I wish I read more recent reviews before coming here. Traffic was bad on the freeway and I was craving pho - this was the closest to where I was at the time so thought I'd give it a try.I came in and sat down and said hello in Vietnamese - I love being able to practice when I go out for pho! The lady was rude and I apologized for speaking to her in Vietnamese. When I found out she was Korean I said hello in Korean and she smiled kind of…then she told me the cooks were Vietnamese.Long story short - the cooks were not Vietnamese they appeared to be her son and husband - that's totally cool - I'm up for new experiences and appreciate family businesses. Then I looked around and started to take it all in…The table in front of me had used medical grade gloves on it, a bath and body works bag in the chair full of stuff, prescription bottles and other things and a dish cart was sitting out by a table. One of the cooks was more attentive to his plate of bacon and food he made for his girlfriend as they sat down to eat and ignored a customer who came in and stood there for several minutes.I ordered pho with brisket, flank and rare meat and there was more tendon than I'd expect and the meat wasn't so great nor the noodles or taste really either. The eggrolls weren't amazing but they were crispy, which I love. They were served on a plate with the fish sauce but no shredded carrots or anything else in it and no lettuce. :( I asked for lettuce and the lady brought it out on a plate but then, with her bare hand, took it off and put it on the egg roll plate. No mint leaves or anything else though.Lastly, there was a hair in my pho I noticed half way through that was on the side of the inside of the bowl and hanging out. I was already in deep so committed to finishing my experience there…and to give them the benefit of the doubt, it could've been my hair…except I had my hair back in a tight pony tail and a golf cap on….and I have blonde hair. ?The food wasn't horrible, and I like to think everyone in this world is doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Hence the two stars. Although I can't say I'd come back here again, at least not in a hurry… I'm always willing to give most things a second try, so you never know. Maybe they were just having an off night… But it was around 7 o'clock, I would think they'd be excited for dinner time customers, and try to make an experience that would draw repeat business.

First time getting 2g2g bag here and they were located right by Mitsuwa entrance. I got two bags and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food. The owner was friendly and pickup was super quick! The salmon and teriyaki chicken was too salty for us on their own, with rice they were tolerable. My husband enjoyed the katsu chicken, would definitely come back to try others!

What an awesome market!! Lots of fresh fruit and veggies! Some of the most diverse apples and oranges. And the largest and most flavorful strawberries Ive ever found! This place is big and busy and wonderful. At 9 we were lucky to find a parking spot right away. But I see how this place can fill up fast.I hadnt had breakfast that morning, so I was very happy with the food options. The spiralized potato with BBQ seasoning was probably my favorite. Not to mention some macarons for later (or sooner...).The Macarons are from Munch Bakery. Oh my goodness! That Nutella macaron!! Not only was that flavor obviously delicious, but it was everything a macaron should be - the crunch on the outside and the chew on the inside. Also, just the right amount of sweetness! And that was just a sample! After that, I knew I had to buy I few! I opted for the Sans Rival (Roasted Cashew), Cho Nut (Philippine Peanut Candy Bar) and Horchata. The Cho Nut stood out because of its true peanut flavor. But I have to say that the Hotchata was my personal favorite. Cinnamon and macarons just go so nicely together!Hopefully next time I can try more of her unique flavors! Like Tres Leches and Coconut Pandan!
