Its super salty. First of all, I made a note about the lack of salt when I placed the order. It was still salty when it came out! I told the waiter, but the waiter said it was my personal problem! I often go to restaurants to eat, and I have never encountered anything really salty, and I have never asked for less salt in other restaurants. Then the waiter said that the soup was already made and could not be changed. Later the landlady said it could be changed. Put a bowl of stock soup. But I communicated with the waiter several times, and the waiter said that it cannot be changed and the soup is ready. I also asked the waiter if I could put less salt in the original soup, but the waiter emphasized that it couldnt be changed. The original soup cannot be changed.........there is no communication at all. Later, the landlady added a big bowl of original soup to me so that it was no longer salty. But why do you keep telling me that the original soup cannot be changed... I am really confused. We communicated for a long time. Too much effort. I keep emphasizing that there is something wrong with my personal taste. There are more people in the store now than when it first opened, so thats it...

Updates-3/24/22. Still MY BEST WABA.Food tastes are great than any other waba places.Chef's food is always steady. Also Server. Her name is Cecilia is very nice and professional about her work.I like to see people who do their work with joy and positivity. Restaurant work is tough. Service work is very stressful (IF U KNOW U KNOW) But she is always same moods with smily customer service. I want to give a huge credits for that.I am proudly say this is my best waba.Hopefully Owners know about this and keep maintained this great place continuously..Best WABA GRILL EVER.CHEF's Cook is really great, and very kind employees. There are many WABA grills, but this is the only my favorite WABA.

Where do I start? This is by far the worst that I have EVER been treated, worst service, worst drinks, worst everything. Definitely wont be coming back. First gave me the wrong drink, and I just let it go and asked for a new one. But when they started giving my daughter dirty looks and handed me the drink back I realized that they had put a ton of bobba when I had asked for none. When I asked who was in charge, they told me that nobody was. One of the girls seemed under an influence of some sort. She refused to give me her name but I thought I heard jocelyn from a coworker which was also under an influence. He had earrings and was on his phone the whole time. I hope you hire more responsible people next time around. Another thing, you should consider a deep clean every once in a while, my daughter found a fruit fly in her drink. Another reason we wont be coming back.

Native Fields
18750 Amar Rd, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
I have passed by this plaza so many times in my life, but did not know a place like this existed here. I was able to discover this place from Yelp when I tried to look for different food to try around the area. Great to see that this place has options for people that are Vegan or Vegetarian. The food here seems to be quite healthy and note that it is fused with other types of cuisines. One thing to note is that it could get quite pricey, but you get what you paid for.FoodSo I ended ordering a few dishes for me and my family.Korean Braised Brisket- This dish was a bit underwhelming. Dont get me wrong but I just felt like there needed to be some sauce or something more for this bowl. The Beef brisket had the flavor in its fat but was lacking on the meat itself. Just have higher expectations for a $18 bowl.Kids Grilled Chicken Tocino Bowl (I believe this isnt on the menu, great to have it suggested to us, since we have a kid that has an allergy to egg) - The chicken is excellent, and it was a great mix with the cauliflower!Broccolini and Mushroom Sandwich- This was a pretty good sandwich but also just probably needed a bit more sauce or something. One thing you HAVE to get is the potatoes, it was packed with flavor, and crispy.Thought the place looked cool, liked that they had a huge outdoor patio, it was just a bit hot the day we went, and the patio top can only shield so much of the sun. Overall it is a great place to try, and maybe if I am around in the area again, I can try some other things on the menu. Until then!

XLB Dumpling Bar
18732 Amar Rd, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
Honestly the concept is good. The Asian Mexican fusion is a great idea. However coming from an Asian and Mexican food eater, flavor-wise it could be improved. The ma la sauce felt very lemon-y. The al pastor dumplings felt a bit too sweet and they added cheese to it which is a bit odd. Since normally al pastor tacos dont have cheese. The curry chicken and corn dumpling were not bad!! The so called roasted sesame noodles were sweet in flavor and missing the so roasted sesame I was expecting.. so was a bit disappointed by the sweetness. I ordered the chili oil bok Choi that was recommended but was also a bit dissatisfied with it.. it was a little sweet as well as lemon-y which was disappointing as I was expecting the usual asian chilli oil flavor. Im not sure why, they seem to add sweetness and sourness to most their sauces and food. These two flavors kind of over take the flavor of the dish itself. Again. Concept and idea is great. But execution needs more work. Waiters were friendly, restaurant was clean. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

The Port Of Peri Peri
3283 Walnut Ave, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Updated review (4.26.20) Picked up carry out burger sizzler and chicken wrap. The chunks of chicken in both the wrap and burger were way too huge, dry and chewy. I feel things arent consistent and the Peri Peri fries are almost always soft and never crisp or crunchy, which is disappointing because I love fries. Also the tortilla for the wrap tasted very dry, which made the wrap fall apart. Dont think il get a wrap in the future. Ive had it in the past it has been better with smaller pieces and thinner wrap size. Lack of consistency with chicken is something that needs improvment.I would give this place 5 stars if I could. Giving 4 because their sauce scale is way more on the spicy side. Ive had Nandos more than a dozen times so am comparing my experience here to them, and Nandos sauces are more in line with what you get. Mild is mild, medium is medium, etc. At Port of Peri Peri, be warned that their mild is more medium to hot and their medium is hot to very hot. Aside from that, this is definitely on par with Nandos style. Only wish their sauces were evened out. Management hopefully youre listening, youll have way more happy customers if you go back and check your sauce spiciness. The chicken is very good. The few times Ive had their Peri Peri fries, they tasted soft /oily and not crispy as a French fry should be. Hopefully theyll address that and improve on my next visit.Ill still be coming back but will keep to my mild sauce level for enjoyment purposes.

Bay Island Cafe
3927 Walnut Grove Ave #115, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
While I was in New Mexico, my parents had mentioned visiting Bay Island - telling me that they really enjoyed the food and the fact that the drinks are well made; they even went as far as to send me pictures of the food they were eating! I finally got to try it out for myself a few weeks back when I came on a late Sunday afternoon. Despite coming at around 1 PM, the restaurant was still packed, so the wait time was around 30-45 minutes. Since Bay Island is located in one of the worst plazas Ive ever been to, you wont have much luck at finding parking - especially on a busy afternoon. The spots are mostly designated for compact parking, so definitely be careful! The restaurant itself is fairly nice. I think theyre trying hard to attract both the older Asian population who enjoy the Hong Kong comfort food as well as the younger ABC crowd who enjoy more of the Asian-fusion dishes. They definitely do have a good variety, but I would say the food still wavers to more of a traditional type dish. But I really do like how they have a variety of drinks you can order along with the lunch specials for an additional few dollars - they have pretty legit drinks besides the standard HK milk tea and lemon iced tea.I ended up trying the Hokkaido milk tea with boba. Even though my parents warned me that it was really sweet, I wanted to try it out - yep, its definitely more of a sweeter drink with not much tea flavor to it. Very milky, but not a bad taste! The boba was nothing special, very plain and a bit too chewy for my liking. My dads HK milk tea was good though. Seems like the more standard drinks are made better. My parents did come back and try the black sesame milk tea (after seeing everybody order this); not a fan of black sesame in my drink, but it was pretty interesting.Food dishes:-Cold Cut Crystal Chicken (Half): $8.50 My dad really likes to order this dish at almost every HK restaurant we go to. Its very hard to mess it up, but at the same time its not the easiest to get the chicken to be super tasty as well. Very plain chicken dish. Flavors were good, but the skin lacked the yellow coloring that some restaurants have. Not that much meat on the bones. I expected a little more from this dish.-Hong Kong styled spare ribs: Really enjoyed the flavors of this dish. Lots of red and green bell peppers. A lot of sauce so the dish went well with rice. Meat was slightly crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside as well.-Eggplant with Tofu: I liked this dish! It was a little heavy, with a lot of sauce, but the flavors were good. Really enjoyed how they cooked all the ingredients so that the eggplant was soft enough to eat, but the tofu skin had a good amount of chewiness. I would order this dish again.-3 Cup Chicken: We thought the dish would be more saucy, but the chicken looked a bit dry. Upon eating though, the flavors werent too bad. A little bit of smokiness with all the onions and green pepper. I wouldnt mind eating this again!tl;dr - Overall, Im glad I got to try Bay Island - the restaurant is relatively small, and the plaza is pretty horrible, so youll either be lucky and find that theres nobody waiting or youll be ... unlucky and have to wait for awhile before being seated. Ive made several attempts to return, but my parents said the food quality has gone down and the wait time still remains the same. For my visit, I thought the food tasted pretty good. It wasnt the best, but I liked it. I really liked the drinks as well - theyre served in the Half and Half type cups, so decent amount for a very good price!
