Oi Asian Fusion
7242 Canoga Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
My family and I had a feast of flavors at Oi Asian Fusion. Located at a small strip mall, there is plenty of parking. There is a simple, yet trendy feel at Oi Asian Fusion restaurant and you feel welcomed. I have to shout out the staff, they were SO NICE and made effort to make a connection. *If you check-in you get a FREE drink (bottled Coke all the way). Now, the food was AMAZING- all of it! The pork belly bowls are amazing, Chicken Karage are HUGE pieces of crispy delightfulness, and at 5 pieces for $12, you cant go wrong! Get the bun combo- you get 2 buns (your choice) and a side of Fries (the fries are chefs kiss!) ? My personal favorite wasn the pork belly bowl. The egg is cooked to perfection and flavors are salty, savory, and zezty with a creamy finish. Make sure you add some extra garlic sauce- it goes a long way! I also highly recommend the desert options. The Thai Flan was creamy, and thai tea flavas came through, and my favorite was the Ube Upsidedown cake- it was soft, creamy with sweet bits of crumbles. Portions are on the smaller side for the price, but WORTH IT!I cant wait to make another trip out. I have my eye on the Dynamite Crawfish Bowl and that Angus Burger Bun.
Dragon King Restaurant
21415 Vanowen St, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
We have been ordering food here for a few years and the food itself is good. The problem is the customer service. two times ago we ordered take out from here when they delivered the food there was a mistake. We called them and finally they agreed to give us a credit the next time we ordered. The last time that I ordered when I brought up the credit they said they knew nothing about it and wouldnt take off the money for the order. I was not happy. Tonight while I was at work my daughter on speakerphone, ordered a lot of food to be delivered and she ordered a vegan moo shoo dish and when my daughter ordered it she told the man who took the order that there cant be eggs in the dish. Of course when the food arrived the moo shoo had eggs in it. My wife called up and spoke to a women that said that she would send someone with another order without the egg. My wife thanked her and we continued to eat. After a few minutes the man who my daughter originally gave the order to called us and told us that they wont bring us another dish and he said that my daughter never told her to leave the eggs out of the dish when there were five people in the room when she placed the order and everyone heard her say it. He said if we wanted we could come right over because they are closing soon and pick up a new dish but he repeated that we never told him about the eggs and basically said that my wife was lying. And we werent about to make a 20 minute each way trip to get the dish from a mistake that they had made when we were in the middle of eating. Unfortunately even though the food is good, we wont b er ordering food from here ever again.I own my own business and would NEVER treat one of my customers like that. He just lost 5 customers that were here eating with us but also all of the people that we will tell never to eat here.
Szechuwan Garden Restaurant - Authentic Chinese...

You dont need to go to Chinatown to eat authentic Chinese food and portions are bigger than other Asian restaurants nearby for the same price.
Asian Sisters Caf
7140 De Soto Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
Asian Sisters is a new Vietnamese-heavy fusion cafe. Most all of the dishes are essentially Vietnamese with elements borrowed from other Asian cuisine, including Thai and Indian. The menu has a nice selection of appetizers, among them, I recommend their garlic noodles, which feature crispy garlic over lightly stir fried egg noodles with cabbage. Their Asian Side Noodles are another popular item, with beef and pork stir fried into egg noodles and bean sprouts. Their banh mi is offered with beef, chicken or bbq pork. I recommend the pork. The only thing I wish is that they would grill the French roll...it is both typically done at Vietnamese restaurants, and gives the sandwich some extra texture and flavor. The atmosphere is modern and the restaurant is clean. As for service, the owners are friendly. Prices are moderate.
Pink Elephant

Eh... I feel bad and torn. On the plus side, the quality of the sauces here is actually pretty good. As an example, the veggies in my Spicy Basil (with Beef) dish were fresh. The bell pepper was crisp and the sauce wasnt inundated with oil or salt. I could see fresh Thai Red Chili chopped in the sauce along with some ginger. Well made. On the downside, the jasmine rice is ok but either its the quality of the rice used or something else...but it does not taste particularly fresh. More importantly, the meats (chicken, beef...no pork offered) taste straight out of the freezer and come across as dry and flavorless. Ex. The Chicken satay smells of the microwave and freezer. If theyd use fresh meat in their prep, this place would be a step up in taste and quality. The owner (?) who Ive occasionally seen is very polite and attentive. The other staff are generally friendly and well meaning, but Ive had a few mistakes made with orders in the past. Prices are quite reasonable. Currently everything is take away only.
Panda Express
6859 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
I usually order a family meal every 2 weeks or so and I always need to wait for a menu item to be cooked at this specific location. Never had an issue waiting for my food to be freshly cooked!Visited this location on 02/16/22 at 9.20 pm. The girl behind the counter rudely said “You must choose from what's left here in the trays. We need to sell it before closing”What an ultimatum when you don't have the items that I want! 40 minutes before closing! There were literally few pieces of honey sesame chicken, a tray of old and very dry looking teriyaki chicken, a little orange chicken, little chow mein. I nicely said that I am ordering a family meal, I don't see what I like and the poor assortment can't even fill up my family boxes. The girl behind the counter continued with her rude attitude saying “Then you gotta wait 10 min”. I didn't mind. Told her what my 3 sides were and moved to the side patiently waiting for my food to be prepared. After 10 min or so this same girl filled my boxes and pushed them to the side. Didn't bother bagging them and giving them to me (they were already paid). Instead, she took another customer that came way after me, help him with his food choice and checked him out, while I was patiently waiting for my food to be bagged. Finally she decided that she has time now to give me my food! Didn't ask if I needed plates or any extra sauce! When I politely asked for plates, she gave me an attitude again like I am doing something wrong! When I came home and finally decided to enjoy my food the family boxes were not filled up like they normally do! This was the last drop! My husband and I called the manager the following day. We explained what I went through and what we got in the end - some half way filled food that I needed to beg to be cooked! The manager promised to review the cameras and asked for us to bring the receipt next time we visit the location. The visit was today and I had a horrible experience again! I was yelled by the same manager who was not on site, but they called him! He is the GM of this location and the one in the mall. I was accused of lying that my boxes were not filled enough and that my problem was quoting “Madam, you didn't want to wait, this was your problem”.No Mr. General Manager, my problem was not the wait time! My problem was and is the fact that you have rude employees that want to argue with you about doing their job! Cooking a meal that I am paying for, and FYI there were so many people coming after me pass 9.30 pm that for sure your food was not going to go to waste! The GM was willing to give me 2 plates at no charge. When I told him that I don't order plates and the issue was with a family meal, he continued arguing with me. I don't want your free plates mister, I can afford paying for my food! If you are willing to adjust the price on my order as a courtesy, please don't argue with meand don't make me get something that I don't usually order! Plain and simple! I want to spend my money without poor customer service and begging for food to be cooked! Two plates as a courtesy against a family meal - should be an easy math, add and subtract! It is not a rocket science how to calculate the adjusted price! Instead of giving me the Family meal price adjusted down with the price of two plates, in the end I was charged the price of two plates for a family meal! I have no words!Wasted my time and was called a liar! Thanks much!
Gyu-Kaku
6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd Suite 1010B, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
I used to live in Sherman Oaks and was a regular at the Gyu Kaku before there were so many chains; however, now I moved closer to the Canoga restaurant and I rarely go. So my review is specific to the Canoga branch. We love the food at this restaurant in general. The food here is good. We especially liked the side sauces, marinades on yaki-shabu beef, and the Gyu Kaku salad. In some places in which you grill the meat it sticks to the grill but not here. I do however feel like outside weekday lunch combos and happy hour that the food is a little too pricey. We paid around $65 for two on the weekend plus tip. Everything on the weekend is a la carte and adds up quickly. What we didn't like at this branch was the general experience. For reference we were there on a Saturday afternoon. The area around the hostess table was cramped and crowded. The hostess did not welcome guests and disappeared for a bit with no word. So there were several people waiting to be seated looking at each other wondering what happened. They do have the texting system which was good because we were able to visit the Sanrio store in the mall without feeling claustrophobic waiting. Once we were seated, the waitress quickly took our order but it felt rushed and we felt bad asking for things. Kind of like when you're in the drive thru and you feel bad bothering the already over burdened employee by asking for more things. It felt like they were working in such small spaces trying not to hit guests or drop food. One guy was holding five drinks in his hands spilling some of it trying to squeeze by the other tables. Our waitress was serving at least five tables and one of them had six people. We asked for forks but didn't get them. We also gave up asking for more refills. They needed more employees for sure but I felt they didn't have the room for them. Our check took about 20 minutes after we were finished eating. I wished they had one of those iPad looking things that let people pay at the table. My daughter was super ansy. I saw more than one mom trying to keep her kid contained in the small space. So I definitely would not recommend this place to someone who has less than an hour for lunch or even people who have restless children on the weekend. There's no child menu or coloring to keep them busy like in some restaurants. There's very little space for strollers. Since it's at the mall full of families, I felt it was lost potential. As others mentioned the decor needs updating and the bathrooms desperately needed some TLC. Honestly, I really feel like they could do with an interior designer to make the space function better. It seemed like portions of the restaurant were super cramped and other parts were unused. Maybe put the bar area in the back versus right up front where they need space for restaurant seating and waiting?Overall, the food didn't disappoint however the general upkeep, service and layout of the restaurant needs a little help. Also, if you want to save money chose weekday lunches versus the weekend where the same food is much pricier.
Panda Express
6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Canoga Park, CA 91303, United States
I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory experience at Panda Express, largely due to the behavior and attitude of an employee named Heydi. Her demeanor was both cheap and rude, leaving me with a negative impression of the establishment. One incident that particularly stood out was when Heydi went out of her way to take a piece of chicken off my plate and put it back onto the serving tray. I found this action to be not only disrespectful but also unsanitary. It left me feeling disgusted and questioning the hygiene practices at Panda Express.Furthermore, Heydis demeanor was akin to someone who thought the food was coming out of her own pocket. She displayed an off-putting level of stinginess and acted as if she was doing me a favor by serving me. Her attitude was entirely unprofessional and did not align with the customer service I expected. In addition to her cheap behavior, Heydis rudeness was apparent throughout my interaction with her. She seemed to lack basic courtesy and respect, treating me in a manner that made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. It was disheartening to witness such behavior from an employee representing Panda Express.Overall, my experience with Heydi at Panda Express left me deeply disappointed. I strongly urge the management to address these concerns and ensure that their employees are trained to provide exceptional customer service. I sincerely hope that future patrons do not have to endure the same unpleasant encounter that I did. Please note that this review is based on my personal experience, and others may have different encounters at Panda Express.
JINYA Ramen Bar - Topanga Westfield

My recent visit to Jinya Ramen Bar at Topanga Mall was truly enhanced by the exceptional service provided by Taylor. As I entered, I was immediately greeted by Taylors welcoming smile, which set a friendly and comfortable tone for my solo dining experience. The menu at Jinya is quite extensive, but it was Taylors expert guidance that helped me navigate it with ease. Her recommendation of the Tonkotsu Black Ramen was a delight. The dish was rich in flavor, with the perfect balance of savory and creamy tones, just as she described.Taylors professionalism and attentiveness were what made my experience unforgettable. She ensured that my needs were promptly attended to, with a perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. Her ability to gauge when to check in and when to give space was remarkable. The combination of delicious Tonkotsu Black Ramen and Taylors top-notch service made my visit memorable. Her genuine care and efficient service not only met but exceeded my expectations. Its rare to find someone who makes a solo diner feel so welcomed and valued. To conclude, my visit to Jinya Ramen Bar was exceptional, thanks to the wonderful service by Taylor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a great meal complemented by outstanding service. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
Dilli Express
8406 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Canoga Park, CA 91304, United States
Made a big mistake going to Dilli Express without checking YELP. Went on Saturday, Nov 15,2015 approximately at 7:00pm. There were no customers. This shouldve been a red flag. Ordered an appetizer. On the menu it states the appetizer comes with chutney. When I asked for chutney the waiter said theyve run out of chutney. Run out of chutney? Yep, they sure did. Ordered two entrees, the menu says it comes with rice. Entrees was brought to the table, but no rice. Asked for the rice, the waiter said theyve run out of rice. The waiter said they mostly cater and not too many customers come for dinner. Here is a warning for anyone thinking of going for dinner to DILLI EXPRESS...DONT!!Also, want to add the restaurant is not very clean as some other YELPERs have indicated.
