Wangs Chinese Cuisine
35300 Date Palm Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Ordered through Doordash as Im seeking a good Asian restaurant here in the valley. Unfortunately, Wangs was a miss. I ordered three different entrees with different levels of spice and umami. All three included cucumber some how in their vegetable mix. Worse general tsos Ive ever had, ruined by bland flavor and again, cucumber?!?! The cashew chicken was absolutely overpowered by the same green demon. Rice was good, potstickers are good, soup was good. Really needs some work on the entrees to change this score.

Desert Thai Authentic Thai Cuisine
68718 E Palm Canyon Dr suite 103, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Had a great time. I was looking for a bar/restaurant to watch Monday nights game. I walked by and saw they had the game on their TVs. Got greeted at the host stand by a girl who pleasantly told me she would be with me shortly. After that a gentleman came and asked me if Ive been helped, and I let him know a girl told me she would help me soon. Then the gentleman sat the 4 people that were waiting behind me. I thought this was odd but I figured maybe he misunderstood me, no big deal. The girl came back and sat me outside. The gentleman came by my table and started apologizing. He thought I was ordering to go since the girl was helping me and shes responsible for taking to go orders. It really wasnt a big deal but I really appreciated how much he cared and apologized for his oversight. Lots of restaurant servers will never apologize when they make a mistake, so that goes a long way. I ordered Cashew Chicken and a Thai beer. Portions were great, food was delicious and beer was nice and cold. Service was quick and thorough. Id definitely recommend.

Panda Express
68900 Ramon Rd, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
This is the absolute worst Panda Express in the Desert! As someone who used to work at Panda Express in Palm Springs as a Shift Leader for years, I am embarrassed for this location and embarrassed to even say I used to work for the company. Panda expects such HIGH standards when this location has extremely LOW standards. I only eat from this location because it is close by to my house. The past 4/5 times I have eaten here during Covid-19, my order has been either undercooked or I've received the wrong items. Tonight was crossing the line which is why I am writing the review. I ordered a plate with half and half & double honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken. My husband ordered half and half with honey walnut shrimp, teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef. When ordering through drive though he asked to please make sure the order is correct and noodles are fully cooked since those are the usual issues. He got home and was missing two entrees and noodles were BURNT. Not even just a little over cooked but totally burnt. He tried calling the location 4 times with no answer before he decided to drive back. He talks to the manager Jiovanni who said he would make sure the items were correct. After he got home, the orange chicken was cooked with pepper steak sauce instead. Tried to call the location another few times with no answer. I drove back to the location only wanting the correct item and I was told “we can't give free items out” after THEY were the one who provided me with the wrong items multiple times. I am baffled at the lack of customer service and the fact that food is constantly not being cooked properly. This place needs new management and new hires who are willing to do their job correctly. NEVER EAT HERE ANYONE!! If I could give 0 stars, I would!

Kpop Foodz - Korean Food
35400 Date Palm Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
Hole in the wall Korean food place...with AUTHENTIC Korean food, I should add. Have missed good Bibimbap since moving from LA and close proximity to K Town...finally found it at K Pop. Owners work the kitchen and are extremely nice. Service is spotty only because they are in that opening phase...it will get better. If you like Korean fast food, K Pop is the perfect choice!

Museum of Ancient Wonders
69028-B E Palm Canyon Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
The Museum of Ancient Wonders in Cathedral City is a very pleasant surprise! The Palm Springs area has a variety of interesting museums. Modern art, in particular  is very well represented from museum galleries to salesrooms of the areas numerous consignment stores. But the Museum of Ancient Wonders takes a different and valuable approach by looking at the human experience in the context of the vast sweep of history spanning life on Earth. It blends natural history, art, and culture in a very effective and engaging way that local students and many members of the public have probably never encountered. The experience starts in a very unassuming way. You find the museum tucked into a storefront location in a strip mall. Leave any initial misgivings behind and proceed on in. The storefront, while small, is bigger than it looks from outside. Inside, you will find a subset of their collections put upon display. Other collections that they have may be on tour to other museums or have been rotated into storage. When we were there, the exhibits included Paleo: The Story of Life as told by a fascinating assemblage of fossils and fossil casts. These were arranged in chronological sequence, starting with stromatolites, progressing through well over 100 examples of ever more complicated forms including trilobites, early reptiles, dinosaurs, early mamals, early homonids, leading to us. Another exhibit, Behind the Mask presents a small, diverse collection of African masks, explaining how they reflect ancient African traditions and mysticism, and even have influenced modern art far from the masks sites of origin. The exhibit All Under Heaven: Earth, Heaven and the Afterlife featured a spectacular collection of Asian statuary from across the ages. A final exhibit, Starscape surrounded the other exhibits with photographs on the wall showcasing images of multiple bodies in our Solar System, nebulae, and galaxies, putting the content of the other exhibits in a broader context of both time and space. Its a wonderful idea. The Paleo exhibit looked to be relatively permanent within the storefront venue. Im guessing some of the other exhibits might rotate in and out as these and other collections they have tour other venues. The good news is that they are working on moving into a much larger venue in the area that will allow them to exhibit all of their collections. I hope that happens! But until then, check out the Museum of Ancient Wonders in their current Cathedral City location.

Trader Joes
67720 E Palm Canyon Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
We are visiting from South Orange County. We visit Palm Springs often and have for years. Whenever we are here our first stop is always Trader Joe's. One of the great things about TJs is that they are consistently clean, well stocked and super friendly. You can always find the items you like here. The produce is fresh and beautiful. We grilled some salmon the other night that we purchased here. It was perfection! What most people (that don't shop here) don't realize is that TJs is so inexpensive. I get it. It LOOKS expensive. And the quality of the food would be much higher priced anywhere else. But it's very competitively priced. I paid the same amount per pound for TJs salmon that I would have paid at any other chain grocery store. But the quality of the seafood at TJs is just so much better. Give it a try. Seriously. The staff is always nice and if there's a wait they always open more register. Always. One last thing. If you are trying to improve the way you eat and want quality, start here. I wouldn't know how to feed my family without Trader Joe's.

Mr. Claws
67555 E Palm Canyon Dr STE F120, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
So, I took a before pic, because I knew there would be nothing left for an after pic. This was my second time eating here, my gfs third time. And the food has been simply amazing! The meal for two is plenty for the two of us to leave full and happy. We keep getting the Mr Claw sauce, and at the servers recommendation, we got the garlic bread with our meal to dip into the sauce to enjoy it more.Eating here is one of those unique food experiences where, once you take a bite, nothing else really matters and you dont notice the world around you going by until youre finished enjoying your amazing food flavor journey! When you go, definitely sign up for the rewards program because you will be coming back for more with friends.

Stater Bros. Markets
67800 Vista Chino, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
This store is only 1/4 mile from my house, but I often drive 5 miles to the nearest Ralphs for a better selection. Some of the problems are due to the small size of the store, which means they dont carry much variety, and high-end goods are usually not available. The employees are friendly and helpful, but until recently, there were always 2 or 3 people in front of you in line at the checkout. They have recently hired additional staff, so lines are shorter. There is no self-checkout. Some items are misplaced: Kayro corn syrup is located in the breakfast foods area, and not in the baking supplies where it belongs. It does have a superior meat counter: they actually appear to cut meat on site, which Ralphs does not. Shelf labels are often not consistent and confusing: red bell peppers are sold in two varieties, with one being $1.00 a pound more, with no explanation for the difference (and sometimes mislabeled). They have recently improved their produce selection, and now carry a decent variety of organic produce. There is no sign indicating that the Buy 4 packs of canned soda discount deal applies only to products from the same supplier - you have to know that 7up is a Coke product and not a Pepsi product. It took me 20 minutes to find a can of pumpkin, and the employees did not know where it was. Theres no club card - you have to sign up online to get discounts. Prices for frozen vegetables are almost double Ralphs. They are excellent at enforcing their mask policy during the coronavirus pandemic, and for that reason, and because they are trying hard, Im upping them a star.

Memos Sushi
68 655 Ramon Rd A, Cathedral City, CA 92234, United States
This is one of the best sushi places in the whole Coachella Valley. It's family owned and operated, it's a hidden gem! PLEASE NOTE!!! The reviews of the 1 star, are not really reviews. I eat at this place once a week, they have signs posted on each table explaining the credit card processing fee. I don't understand why people complain for paying for their own processing fee, AMPM does it, and most establishments are moving towards, passing the credit card fees on to their clients and that's okay! We as consumers need to understand that a business has so many bills, (Rent, business Insurance, Workers comp, payroll fees, sales tax, income tax) and the list goes on. Why do we give them bad reviews when all they are trying to do is provide a good service? A 4% surcharge on my own bill for using my own credit card is NOT a big deal! Memo's sushi has not increased their prices since Memo took over this business. There's sushi restaurants that are charging $18.95 per roll, yet Memo still keeps his prices low and all he does is pass on the credit card fees to us. I feel that this is a fair trade off. Let's stop complaining over cents and start supporting the local business owners that have been hit severely hard cause of COVID! It's either that or we tell Memo to raise his prices and cover the cost of processing credit cards. STOP COMPLAINING!!!! A $75 bill cost you a $3 processing fee on your card…. Your complaining over $3!!!???? Really?? Am I understanding this correctly that a consumer can't pay a $3 fee for your OWN credit card! Then do yourself a favor and stay home! Otherwise if your reading this review, support your local restaurants and don't give bad reviews for $3!!!?!!!!! Thank you Memo for your good food and service, don't worry about these snowbirds and non- locals, and Canadians!!! Keep providing your good food and good service and like I said I don't mind paying my own credit card processing!
