Anh Restaurant & Bar
1950 Esplanade Dr, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
I am writing this review not due to the food quality of the restaurant but their behavior of profiling my son who was there to get dinner on evening of 4/22. So this is how it goes . My Son who is 28 year old walks in the restaurant and waits for a table to be seated . Once he is seated, he gets really weird look from the staff . He has no idea that why he is getting this looks from the staff. Then one of the waitresses just walks over to him and questions him in front of everyone if his name is Ahmed and he did not pay his bill when he was at the restaurant the previous night . My Son was really taken back and was in disbelief due to this gesture of accusation . He tells them that his name is not Ahmed and he was not there yesterday at all. The waitress refuses to not belief him till he pulls out his Drivers License and Business card to prove that he is not that person ( Ahmed). After he proves he is not that person the waitress just walks away without any apology. Really.... At this point my Son was very upset and asked to speak with the manager. The manager comes out and says that he is sorry about this and offers him a free drink. How would a free drink rectify the humiliation he just went through by one of their very incompetent and possibly racial staff. Did he get treated like this because he was wearing Jeans and Hoody. The waitress was a white female and my Son looks like Black/Pacific Islander male. What shall we deduce from such am appalling behavior from the Restaurant staff.

Huong Tra Restaurant
12221 San Pablo Ave, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
I had high hopes for this place, especially since they made their prices super reasonable. But, it was all pretty bland unfortunately.I got the spring rolls with peanut sauce. Bland, & the only think I could reccomend to them to make it not so bland, maybe a bit more salt/msg in the peanut sauce, maybe toast the peanuts? Idk Im not a Vietnamese chef, but flavor is Def lacking.. which is sad because these were priced at $6 for 2 pieces cut in half so, 4 halves. They made up for the fact its cheap by making them rather small in size. But I wont complain about the size, if I want more Id order more @ $6/order.Next was the fried spring rolls that came with a sweet chili sauce. The spring rolls also $6, and also rather tiny in size but, $6 is cheap for an order of spring rolls so again, I see why theyd did this, I have no issues with it. The spring rolls theirselves, also kind of bland, but not as bland as the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. The sweet chili sauce is super run of the mill prob right out a bottle, I wish they used that sweet vinegar sauce most Vietnamese restaurants give with their fried spring rolls.Lastly I got the chow fun, $13, and more than ample portion. But again, lacking in flavor... it looked like theres ton of sauce and color, Im not sure why it lacks so much flavor.... as in, all I really tasted was the vegetables. The staff was nice, theres plenty of seating in the restaurant. But I dont think Id come back here for the food, unfortunately. The 4 star rating is because if you wanted just to be filled for a reasonable price and you dont care about big flavor, this would be a just fine place for that. Ie; most born and raised Americans would think this place was top tier because they are terrified of real authentic big bold flavors.

Panda Express
4250 Macdonald Ave, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
I work down the street and in the past year or 3, Ive been coming to this Panda Express location a lot, I mean a lot, like at least once a month! In all my visits, only once have I had an issue-which the manager on duty took immediate action to resolve and provide complete customer satisfaction. About half the staff is friendly, the rest at least get the job done. The food is normally warm and fresh, and its Panda-if you want more portions, you can simply ask for more.I would say the biggest issue is that this restaurant is located next to a bus stop, and Richmond is the hood, so theres a fair share of homeless and ratchet entertaining people and people watching that youll be forced to take in. But some people, like myself, dont really mind it as its so entertaining!

Sala Thai
15501 San Pablo Ave suite f, Richmond, CA 94806, United States
As I lived in Southeast Asia for 4 years, I love Thai food.My favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay area is #SalaThai in #Richmond.I really enjoy the mango sticky rice there and the combo appetizer, everything is good. I prefer the Thai dumpling, a kind of Asian vol au vent, which is delicious and the presentation is outstanding. I’ve never found this dumpling in any other Thai restaurants I tried in the Bay.I’ve been to this restaurant several times and have been happy with the service. The food is fresh and they are cook it after your order, so if clients have to wait this is a good sign.

Tsing Tao
12372 San Pablo Ave, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
The food looked and tasted like it was cooked, then soaked in oil. It left a taste in my mouth like I had just taken a swig of vegetable oil. If that wasnt bad enough, the food was extremely bland. Add the seasoning like a REAL Asian restaurant and lay off the oil.

Dumpling House Mongolian Cuisine (Formally Eura...
12221 San Pablo Ave #6, Richmond, CA 94805, United States
Food here is amazing if you like dumplings (like momos) and meat. Every meat dish Ive had so far has been tender and hearty. And every dumpling dish has been rich and flavorful. The amount of food is very large compared to the cost ($14-18 a dish?). Every dine-in order comes with what I think is their own homemade hot sauce, which adds great flavor complexity to the dishes. Just be warned that the hot sauce is really spicy.Only reason I give them a 4 star rather than 5 is that their service can be really slow, and their food can sometimes be inconsistent. The dishes taste great either way, but the variations in the same dish have made me baffled a few times. If you arent in a rush though, definitely a good eat. Make sure to order some dumplings/momo!

Tesla Supercharger
3288 Pierce St, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
Very slow charger, we were getting 50 kw. Located at the Pacific East Mall that loops from Ranch Market around to Cathay Bank. Nice restrooms in the far left corner of the mall, some food options, low-adequate for dog walking. Watch your GPS if youre intending to head north, ours tried to route us south rather than over the nearby bridge.

Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park
1414 Harbour Way S #3000, Richmond, CA 94804, United States
The Ford Richmond Plant, formally the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant, in Richmond, California, was the largest assembly plant to be built on the West Coast and its conversion to wartime production during World War II aided the United States war effort. The plant is part of the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It currently houses the National Park Service visitor center, several private businesses and the Craneway Pavilion, an event venue.Built in 1930 during the Great Depression, the assembly plant measures nearly 500,000 square feet (46,450 m2). The factory was a major stimulant to the local and regional economy and was an important development in Richmonds inner harbor and port plan.To ensure that America prepared for total war by mobilizing all the industrial might of the United States, President Franklin D. Roosevelt banned the production of civilian automobiles during World War II. The Richmond Ford Assembly Plant switched to assembling jeeps and to putting the finishing touches on tanks, half-tracked armored personnel carriers, armored cars and other military vehicles destined for the Pacific Theater. By July 1942, military combat vehicles began flowing into the Richmond Ford plant to get final processing before being transported out the deep-water channel to the war zones. The Richmond Tank Depot (only one of three tank depots in the country) as the Ford plant was then called, helped keep American fighting men supplied with up-to-the-minute improvements in their battle equipment. Approximately 49,000 jeeps were assembled and 91,000 other military vehicles were processed here. After the war, the devastation to the local economy as a result of the closing of the Richmond Shipyards would have been crippling had it not been for the continued production of the Ford Plant. The last Ford was assembled in February 1953, with the plant being closed in 1956 and production transferred to the San Jose Assembly Plant because of the inability to accommodate increased productivity demands. In 1989, the Loma Prieta earthquake severely damaged the plant. After the earthquake, the City of Richmond repaired and prepared the Ford Assembly building for rehabilitation. In April, 2020, Contra Costa County officials announced that the Craneway Pavilion would be converted into a 250-bed hospital for COVID-19 patients who do not require an intensive care unit level of care.
