Jims
1584 Del Monte Blvd, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Honestly I used to love this place so much...and never could understand why this place now seems to have lowered its quality and safety standards too...i remember this as being one of my favorite places to go for good Chinese food...it may not of always been the fastest or the cheapest but it was worth it because I always enjoyed every meal...and never thought i could say this but honestly i felt it was so disappointing because I know they knew what kind of food they were serving me to go...when i went in they were rushing me to order stuff i didnt even want and they were ironically all the highest priced items on the menu which i guess was the first red flag but i still never would of expected them to swindle me outta $45 -$50 with the dang tip I gave too!!!! For the worst beef n broccoli and chowmein I ever had in my life!!!...sorry i was jst so upset to go outta my way to drivr across town passing many other good places for asian take out but after the drive and long wait which was no problem thinking it was due to them making it fresh which only makes me a bit curious to why it took so long only to pay for the oldest left overs I ever had...i know i may of seemed like a new customer to them being almost a year since I last ordered any food from jims...but the chowmein was so mushy and old it could have passed for days old beef top ramen that sat out on the counter for day or two...honestly my mom said I was being a diva ...until she tried it herself and also tasted that weird urine like after taste from the beef n broccoli which I was so hungry and happy about eating till i got all the way home to eat...which going back was last thing I felt like doing plus I was a bit bummed out over...because I know the quality they are so known for ...the proof is even on the wall when you walk in so to serve me that was not a accident or mistake... they just didnt care anymore i guess or just my luck to be one of the only customers they ever given old left overs to ...??????so if you are a new customer be careful it may be easier to slip it to than the regulars...

Noodle Bar
1944 Fremont Blvd, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
We found this place on Google reviews and gave it a try. My wife had the seafood soup and I had the special, pork chop. We were very pleased with the food quality, quantity (the fried rice could be better- I ordered it with the pork chop. The dish comes with a bowl of consomme which was comfortingly delicious) and the price was reasonable. We had to wait as the dinning area is very small, but the tasty food made the wait worthwhile. We live in Monterey and the only Vietnamese restaurant close to us is Chop Sticks which it is not as good as this one when it comes to ingredient content, i.e. more pork, shrimp, etc. All in all, great value for your money. I guess well be driving to Seaside more often. I forgot, I also had the mango boba and it was delicious. They take cash only. I had to drive to Wells Fargo as their ATM did not work. Still, worth the wait and drive.

Sushi Time
1153 Fremont Blvd, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
I hate to be this type of customer - the two stars are for the amazing customer service alone. Each and every front of house staff was friendly, attentive, and when one server saw our food was taking a while she kindly offered a faster appetizer or some tea while we waited. However the food was just not good at all. The seaweed salad tasted like it was drenched in sugar while the cucumbers were too salty, masking any natural flavor. Seaweed salad is one of my favorite foods ever but I just could barely eat this one. A server was kind enough to remove it from my bill.My favorite part was my BBQ salmon skin roll, the salmon skin had a nice crunch though there was so little of it you almost couldnt see it... Mostly rice! It had some interesting vegetables that I liked too. If you are not hungry but like an interesting flavor and texture get this roll. The worst was the two pieces of salmon nigiri sushi we got - the raw salmon smelled and tasted definitely off. This salmon would have tasted better cooked into the BBQ skin roll!! My friend made the mistake of eating the whole thing in one bite and I ate half of one but had a sick feeling after... Its not fresh. The miso soup was good!We ended up going to Safeway as we were not full and spent the same amount of money on the premade sushi there. That left us far more satisfied.

Congo Go Restaurant
800 Broadway Ave Star. A1, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
We were craving boba and decided to give Congo Go a try. The thing I loved the most is that they make their syrups and boba fresh in house. Thats literally unheard of given todays quick serve world and makes boba a lot more guilt free knowing its NOT loaded with a ton of high fructose corn syrup and other processed items. They also make their snacks and desserts in house, from scratch too. We loved the crispy egg rolls (full of flavor and made with healthier turkey), popcorn chicken and the fresh made mochi donuts. Weve had mochi donuts from popular chains in past and these were in a different league! The dough was soft and chewy and the matcha glaze was melty and warm. The chef / owner and staff are super friendly and takes their time to talk through their menu and make recommendations. They are planning to bring more authentic food options soon. Ill definitely be back to try that and more snacks and drinks.

Juicy Crab Cajun Seafood & Chinese Food
1784 Fremont Blvd, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
They were understaffed yet took in almost all who walked through the door. We had 6 in our party but we called in advance to let them know we were coming. Apparently lady on phone was confident they could serve us. Totally difft story once we sat down. Badically took over an hour to get our food. A dish here n there each 15 to 20 min but just not enough for 4 hungry kids n 2 parents each time a dish came. Warning, Do not expect the calamari to look like pic on menu (see actual). It was over cooked and barely had any flavor. I ordered the king crab combo with mild spice level and be warned: it was hot as hell! I asked server and was told order was correct. Without complaining much more, this place obviously ignored our orders so they could take care of smaller parties after us. When we finally got bulk of food, place was nearly empty. Food quality was meh at best. They took so long we cancelled beef chow fun. When bill came they tried to say sorry by giving us the beef chow fun to go. Good gesture but no way. Ruined our special family meal together. They need to get their act together to live up to their star level. At this time, 1 star is fair.

Kims Oriental Market
777 Broadway Ave, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Ive been going here for a long time, and its got almost everything for Korean / Japanese food recipes. Even stuff for Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese recipes. They even have Sun noodle ramen. However, sometimes, their customer service is lacking. The one lady I used to see always is great. But, now, Im seeing more other Korean ajimas, and theyre kinda mean and not so nice.

Pho Fresh Restaurant
1988 Fremont Blvd, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
This is the most exciting new opening in Monterey. Forget SaltWood, we have enough expensive sea-food places. Im sure its great, but this place is bringing a combination of authenticity and freshness you cant get too many other places. The interior is brand new and pristine, with a large bubble tea and snow ice menu on the wall, which may deceive you into thinking this place is desert-focused and the food might be uninteresting. You are wrong. The #2 summer rolls are like a super-condensed Bahn Mi, the crepe/lettuce wrap is a healthy, herby party, and the Com Tam broken rice combo plates are a trip. I recommend #31 (add egg) as a sampled your first time to try almost everything. The menu is pretty clear but doesnt really mention the substitutions and additions, but just clarify things with your server and you will get something amazing. This place really brings a bay area legit Asian flavor to Sea-Side, while being fresh and affordable. We will be regulars.

Mediterranean Halal Market
825 Hamilton Ave, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
We got there a few minutes before closing. We asked for a cooked meal which they then offered to warm up for us.they had the largest and best tasting dates I have ever had.i bought a pound but if I had known how good they were I would have gotten two pounds. the selection was limited they are a small market.on the other hand they had traditional breads and meats and other foods that you probably cant get anywhere else in Monterey county I will go back for their dates and meats cooked kebabs and next time I plan to try some of there other foods. Many people eat using pieces of bread as a fork or spoon so they had long flat breads that serve that purpose.traditional Aganistan bread they said

The Butter House
1760 Fremont Blvd Suite B-1, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
This was our first time going there. Long story short, the wife and I took a short weekend anniversary getaway to Monterey, Ca. for our 19th.The foodie she is, my wife researched a number of places that had decent to good ratings and chose The Butter House. We chose three food items (one to go), coffee for each and water with lemon for each. Service was friendly, professional and fast. My omlette was good but nothing extraordinary and my country potatoes were good. They served me what I believe to be a strawberry puree with my English muffin that was delicious though! My wife choose the tri-tip breakfast sandwich with fruit as a side. We both loved it. The meat was delicious and tender enough to eat by itself. My biggest gripe is THEM NOT HAVING OUTDOOR HEATING since COVID-19 regulations limited dining to outdoors. All in all Id give a 3.5 if that was an option due to my omlette by itself being a 3 star item and lack of heat on a 50°F morning, but I dont feel they should be penalized for the rating systems lack of a half star option.Ive posted pictures of the menu and the third item we ordered to go. It is a pork belly fried rice with a fried egg. Good, but FOR MY PERSONAL TASTE Ive had better tasting fried rice.Hope this helps and good eating!PS: The preview photos are blurry. Im hoping they dont upload that way as the originals are very high quality photos.
