Golden China Restaurant
9018 Venice Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232, United States
Golden China restaurant is a hidden gem in the Culver City area. Those who know about it frequented often, those who dont are missing out big time. Theyre open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., so it makes it a perfect spot for lunch dinner and everything in between. They not only have a full menu for those that eat pork chicken and beef, they also have a completely vegan menu you just have to ask for it if thats what youre looking for. We were shocked by how quickly the food was made, and how flavorful it was. For those of us that are health conscious its a night its nice to note that they do not use MSG in their food. Its a quintessential Los Angeles restaurant, brandishing graffiti on the glass, clean bathrooms, and old school elders cooking in the kitchen. Its also right across the street from a Ross and a Starbucks so you can get your coffee fixed and your shopping fix done right after lunch. Personally, my family and I chose items off the vegan menu and they were delectable. We started off with the Mongolian beef, Veggie Chow Mein, Vegan Orange Chicken, Fried Mushrooms and steamed Brown rice. We ate to our hearts content until there was nothing left but a remnant of sauce at the bottom of the plates. Definitely recommend for anyone itching for some authentic delicious Chinese food.

House of Thai Taste
12824 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90066, United States
We previously came to the House of Thai Taste and our experience was a pleasant one. However we came two days in a row and everything changed from one day to the next. I'm not sure if they're under new management but the servers were rude and the menu changed dramatically, in addition to higher prices. When we asked what happed with the other menu we were rudely ignored and the server just walked away. When we asked again, the server said she didn't know the menu was going to change at all. That she only worked once a week and that she had not been told anything when she started her shift. The “old” menu would give you a lunch special which included an individual soup and with the “new” menu, it doesn't include the individual soup and it's $2 higher. All items were more expensive than usual. Things were very different and the servers were rude and not welcoming. The “new” menu was also confusing and when we asked for clarification we were left with “it's a new menu”. There were even two different customers that went to eat while we were there and they too were confused and asking about the changes. Both of these customers mentioned the same thing at different times to the server that they've gone there and have enjoyed it, but that they keep changing the menu and the prices, that they should stick to something and stop changing it because they're return customers don't like it when things change so much where they don't know how it's going to be when they come back. And if they liked a dish and came back, sometimes it's not served anymore. These same customers also mentioned that this was going to be the last time they were going to come, as are we. I think they should get someone who knows how to run a restaurant and how to improve and add new thing, not change them so often which causes confusion to the customers, in addition to prices always changing as well. Restroom did not have toilet paper and when I brought it up to them, they didn't do anything about it. I went and sat down and when another customer tried to use the restroom and noticed there was no toilet paper, he went to tell them and they said they ran out of toilet paper and forgot to buy some before opening. Then they gave them napkins and put a stack of napkins on top of the toilet paper dispenser. I was in shock!!! It also was very clear that they were not going to go buy toilet paper at a nearby store. Will definitely not return again!!!
Wacky Wok
2805 Abbot Kinney Blvd F, Venice, CA 90291, United States
Have been going to Wacky Wok for years, with always delicious food. Always place a phone order for pickup without any issues. For the first time ever, this evening, I was confronted with the most obnoxious rude staff member on the phone who said he would not place a phone order without any explanation and in a very ride manner. I called back to inquire about the reason and to also state my displeasure at their attitude to be told I was welcome to come into the store and wait for the order but they would not take a phone order because they are busy, again from a confrontational ! Logic dictates there is no difference in time taken to make the order in either scenario. Wacky Wok, you have definitively lost me as a customer forever. Will call in orders to Maos kitchen in future who are always friendly and respectful.

Lokal Sandwich Burger Bar
701 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291, United States
Food:Lokal‘a bacon breakfast burritos are absolute FIRE. Omg. It has just the right amount of egg, cheese, potato (not too dry), peppers, bacon, etc.. The tortilla has a littleeee crunch from the grill and doesn't get soggy. The burrito always stays intact which is rare and amazing….. and they are served all day.I also get the Albacore Tuna Melt sometimes which comes on crispy-ish sourdough and is so flavorful, fresh, and absolutely divide. *chefs kiss* Their coffee (I like the cold brew) is awesome as well (and I'm a Starbucks brat).Service: Plus, the staff are so friendly and personable, give you a mom and pop feel. The food comes out SO quickly. They also do take out but again it takes like 2 secs, you may as well order there.Atmosphere: Inside and outside have cute places to sit and eat or study, and it's rarely crowded.Price: That's not even including one of the best parts of Lokal: the REASONABLE PRICES.I come here at LEAST 3x a week and you should too.
Venice Teriyaki
1301 Ocean Front Walk, Venice, CA 90291, United States
I had a bad experience with the people who sell the food, it was very unpleasant to ask for food and to be told that you are arguing just for asking the prices. And the cost of using the card is excessive. I was very excited because I remember having eaten there when the owner was Japanese and he made delicious dishes. They are rude and inattentive. But everyone gives what they have, I wont go again and I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND IT..
Tree House Thai
10200 Venice Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232, United States
I been dinning at this place for 3 years. But this week i was very disappointed at the bad customer service I received from the staff (NUI)My waitress was no where to be found. So i had to remove the plates from my table so my family can enjoy the dinner. We ask for water and no one was serving us. We where the only family in the establishment.Well after 15 minutes of waiting she came back with the tab and in the tab she added a 18% of Gratuity i told her that i felt that i did not get good service during our dinner why should i give a gratuity for bad service. Her respond was that she was taken care of her child in the back. I was very surprise at her respond. At the end She did not remove that 18% i will never return to this location.Bad serviced and the food was not like before. If you have dine in at this location you will see the baby walking around the restaurant following his/her mother the waiters.thats not safe for a child to be. 01/06/22
Emerald Thai Cuisine
9315 Venice Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232, United States
Ordered Tom Khar and Green Curry to-go.The service was excellent and friendly. My to-go order was ready when I arrived, I was offered a free Thai Tea, and they made sure to enclude utensils and napkins for me.While the flavor of the Tom Khar and Green Curry wasnt bad, I thought both dishes had too much coconut milk, especially the Tom Khar.Ive tried a lot of Thai places and find that many places dont put enough coconut milk. Surprising to find a place that does the opposite.I also ordered both dishes medium spicy. I was nervous about what their version of medium spicy would be since Ive tried some places where medium is barely edible, but both turned out so mild I could have gone with the hottest option.I would rate it 3 stars, but they were so nice I gave an extra star for service.
Phovorite Vietnamese Kitchen
10026 Venice Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232, United States
Id been coming here a few weeks for place that did both Thai and Vietnamese okay, but not well.Yesterday evening I went to grab some food like usual and the waiter (frosted tips - I shouldve known) tried to tell me that there was a mix up with my bill the last time I came in and he would be charging me for it this time.He kind of threw this on me as soon as I sat down, so not sure how to take it, I nodded my head and went to wash my hands and clear my head. When I came back, I went up to the counter and asked the guy what he meant. He told me that there was a mix up with a Thai Iced Tea which I have never ordered at that place and when I pressed him, he seemed to collapse. The whole thing felt mega scummy/scammy and I will never eat there again.I mean has anyone ever heard of a place trying to charge you three days later on your next visit for vague meal charges they cant seem to verify? This was so sketchy and miserable. 0/10
