Ise Sushi Japanese Restaurant
1241 E Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA 92870, United States
If I could leave a 0 star review I would. After paying a split bill with my friend, the waiter stopped us from leaving for not leaving a tip or a good enough tip. For 10 minutes we were held up at the door while the rude waiter harassed and lectured us about how we should leave a tip. The waiter said that we should not go out to eat if we could not afford to leave a tip, because it wasnt enough to just pay the bill. We always come here and always leave a tip but the one time we didnt the waiter gave us a disgusting attitude about it. The negligent owner stood there and did nothing. He lied about not being able to speak English when he clearly did. Even though in fact we did leave a small tip, the waiter obnoxiously voiced his displeasure with the amount that was left. The waiter clearly saw that the restaurant was empty and that we were two young girls he could take advantage of and harass for more money, as he clearly did not make enough tips that day. He also had the audacity to ask me not to come back again because I did not tip, as if I would ever return after the disgusting and rude treatment by the owner and his staff.NEVER coming here again. And you should only come here if u want someone to harass u about tips and tell you how to spend your money. Also beware of rude waiters who will harass young girls for money!
The Wild Artichoke
4973 Yorba Ranch Rd ste a, Yorba Linda, CA 92887, United States
I’ve dined at Wild Artichoke after the new owner/chef took over the restaurant. It’s a nice cozy space and the food is excellent! I’ve tried their brunch, lunch and dinner menu and my favorite dishes are the uni pasta, short ribs, shrimp macarons, Japanese style omelette, blueberry pancakes, crab cakes Benedict, shrimp grits, all their salads, handmade pastas and their bottomless mimosas! I love how their savory dishes have a touch of East Asian flare and helped that the chef explained how he prepares each dish. I’ve held a party of 10 for brunch on a Saturday and everyone gave the chef 5 stars ⭐️!! You need to book a table and try the dishes I recommend! Hidden gem in Yorba Linda and I see this place getting busy very fast! So go now before everyone finds out!
Tans House
18553 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92886, United States
I seriously love this place and only wish it was closer to me and cheaper. It wasnt busy which was perfect because I went with my family so it was a nice and quiet experience in the restaurant. Ive never actually sat down inside, ive always just taken it to-go and I feel like maybe thats what most people are doing since it wasnt crowded at all, literally only us in the whole place.Heres what we ordered:Salt and Pepper CalamariPork chopPan Fried BBQ Pork NoodleHouse Special Fried RiceDry String BeanHoney Walnut ChickenOk so I would definitely order everything that I got but I honestly was hesitant to put my favorite dish in this review because you cant find it anywhere else and it is literally my favorite dish!!!! The honey walnut chicken!!!! Its usually shrimp in all chinese restaurants but they have a chicken version and omg it is literally heaven!!!! Its lightly breaded and lightly fried and it is just perfection!!!! I literally want to get a whole party tray of it next time!!!!This is the only place that has my favorite item, Honey walnut chicken!!!! It's usually shrimp and don't get me wrong, I still love that version. But this has the chicken version and I love it even more!!! Everything they have here has been good. They even have the crispy wontons or whatever it is to start and I haven't had them since forever. I feel like other places don't have it. I always enjoy eating here. Service is good and fast.
D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine
20501 Yorba Linda Blvd Spc D3, Yorba Linda, CA 92886, United States
First time at D&D FireArt (after having eaten in this physical location, which was a previous Asian restaurant in the same space, different owners, many times over the years). This place BLOWS THE SOCKS OFF the former tenants food!!! If you used to eat at this location, and havent tried D&D, please do yourself a favor and TRY IT - you wont be disappointed!! (sorry, completely forgot pictures, I was so taken with the food quality!)First up, we eat late, like very close to closing on weeknights, so no problem getting a table immediately. Service is prompt and very friendly. They have an unusual chicken egg drop soup that is very flavorful! Veggie egg rolls are nothing to write home about - standard fare, fresh, hot, but too oily for my liking. Will skip next time. The Mongolian beef was good... not great... beef was a bit chewy, not necessarily overcooked, but just good. The sauce was very good. The sweet-n-sour shrimp - WOW!!! GINORMOUS ( like HUGE), plump, fresh shrimp (largest I think Ive ever seen in a restaurant anywhere), perfectly cooked, smothered in a very flavorful, but not overly sweet (if thats possible) sweet-n-sour sauce, with plenty of pineapple. Just excellent, both quality and flavor! Cant say enough about it.House Special Fried Rice (chicken, shrimp, bbq pork) - very, very good! Definitely NOT your standard strip mall (did I mention this place is a little hole in the wall place in a small strip mall next to Vons... youd likely miss it if you didnt know it was here)... but I digress. ;)Definitely NOT your standard mall or strip mall restaurant fried rice, which is usually regular rice with some soy sauce and other flavoring tossed in, with frozen peas and carrots added. NOT HERE - this is the real deal - fresh, plump chunks of chicken and smaller (regular-sized) shrimp, perfectly scrambled egg, and whatever the mix of seasonings - just perfect!! Although, personal preference, I like my house fried rice to have beef instead of the bbq pork, but I suppose we could request that next time. And no cheap frozen veggies here, just quality, piping hot, well-prepared, tasty ingredients. I literally will have to go in sometime just for the fried rice as a meal!BTW, the family-style dishes are HUGE!!! A small/regular is plenty for 4, maybe 5 people, if a few dishes are ordered. And the large dishes should be called HUGE, more than enough for 5-7 people if sharing a number of dishes!Arrive hungry... you will leave fully satisfied. However, one small blip... did not get to try fried ice cream from the menu, in fact, for some reason, the server said there were NO desserts available? Didnt ask why, the food was so good, we just let it go (and there is a great walk-up ice cream place just a few doors down ;).My only regret is that there are only 2 locations to this advertised chain restaurant, in the entire U.S. that I could find - this one (the newer) and Santa Clarita, CA. At least everyone in these 2 cities and surrounding areas can have the pleasure... its well worth it!
Panda Express
18503 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92885, United States
Honestly, it is the best Chinese food in this area. Its sad when a chain restaurant is the best Chinese food because the small, family owned places usually have the authentic real deal food, but they have all gone out or have been sold to people who make the same food as Panda! At least for a Panda Express, this place does do a pretty good job, its clean, the food is always hot, and the employees are super friendly. Order online before you go so that there is no need to wait in the ridiculously long line. Besides the line, the only other thing that sucks about this place is the parking situation, which is not their fault. Park in the lot by Yorba Lake Pet Clinic and walk over if there are no spots available.
WaBa Grill
21480 Yorba Linda Blvd Ste B, Yorba Linda, CA 92887, United States
Not only do they cook the tofu on the same grill as animal products, the girl lied to our face and said it was cooked on a separate grill. We watched and that was a bold lie!!!! Then she rudely snapped well do you want your food or your money back with such snotty attitude!!! Customer service is a thing of the past at least with this store!!! Shame on them!!!
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
187 Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA 92870, United States
Food is ready on time and the portion is good. My total came in at about $12 so can’t complain much for this value. The store looked clean but nobody was sitting there. Probably it’s bc it’s a better takeout spot, which I did for my first order there. There’s a Chinese restaurant nearby that’s more for a sitting down occasion, but this place has the better price, considering some of the similar offering. Nonetheless, it’s a decent place and an alternative for a quick asian pick-up meals
Yasai Japanese Grill
139 Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA 92870, United States
What a brilliant concept. Japanese nuanced vegan dishes. Everything we had was super yummy. The sauces are perfectly matched. The eggplant no-tuna bites were amazing. The karaage (no-chicken nuggets) were very good and recommended (especially for regular chicken eaters) and touted as a favorite, but I invite you to go beyond the favorites as everything we had was extremely well done. The Kings and Queens with pickled onions on top were solid. But the Futomaki was exquisite with thte pickled beet wrap and the sauce. The classic ramen with spicy sauce was reported as fabulous if you can handle heat. Members of our party also had the pretzle sliders with impossible meat. And it was so good including the gyoza. Enjoy.
Flame Broiler

The food was good. Customer service was absolutely terrible. Employees were on their phone. I stood there waiting to be helped until I came up to the employee and asked if there was someone who could help me. Nothing. Waited for the cashier who had a terrible attitude. I signed and took my pick up order but before I left I asked her if the seating was available outside. Given the Covid restrictions I wasn't sure. She told me that I saw people eating outside so what did I think? Excuse me but I don't know if those people are violating rules given that no one cares. Or maybe the seats are from the other five restaurants in the surrounding area. I said nothing took my food and left. Don't have a Karen moment and just warn others of the terrible service.Edit: I tried to edit this post to add the picture of the receipt but I can't figure out how to so I'll just say what I ordered - chicken bowl with avocado and extra onions. Ordered through the app Grubhub. 03/24/2021. Pickup time was around 2 pm when I had my lunch break. I can email the receipt if that is better?
Mins Bistro Chinese Cuisine
18423 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92886, United States
I have been here TWICE on different occasions, and our service has been horrible. The first time I came here was on a date with my husband. It was quite busy that evening, and I remember being impressed by the restaurants layout and the aroma it carried. The manager at the time sat us down and said someone would be with us shortly. During our 15 minutes waiting frame, the servers continued to seat others, take orders, and take food out. No one EVER approached us until we finally called someone over. We finally were able place our food order. However, during our wait, new customers arrived(Asians). Orders of the other individuals were taken after us, and all their orders were coming out first!? Once we saw other customers were getting their food before us, we did get impatient. Our waiting time had now been 50 minutes!! We never received our food. Hungry and agitated we got up and left. Now the second time, my husband convinced me to try the restaurant again, and I agreed. This time we arrived precisely at 11:00 am. The restaurant had just opened, and we were the first and only ones! The server was a little rude but took our orders, and that was that. Shortly after, two Asian ladies with a toddler arrive, and the server takes their order. Suddenly, it is 11:25, and those Asian ladies have their entire order while my husband, son, and I are still waiting for our meal. My son received his meal shortly after, 10 minutes later, my husband and until 11:45 am, I received mine. You best believe I was agitated again. I confronted the server because, honestly, it makes no sense in this case. The server saw us sitting there and the fact he never questioned the kitchen about our order demonstrated he had no concern. Therefore, based on both our experiences, I conclude there is a racial preference for who they serve their food first. Mins Bristo lacks kitchen/order organization skills. As well as customer service. I do not believe service is a matter of concern to them. I will never come back here again, nor will I ever recommend this place. You are better off with Panda Express.
