Little India Restaurant
1456 Bridge St #3506, Yuba City, CA 95993, United States
I am appalled at how I was treated today at little India. If you're looking for a place with at least ‘decent' customer service do not visit this place. I don't care how good a product is, if you're not treating customers right you don't deserve to be in business. I would normally visit 3-4 times a week for my usual dish. Today I went in as I normally did, paid for my order and had to wait a few moments for my order to be ready. As I waited for my order I noticed a sign that said you would get a free samosa if you were not given a receipt. I didn't remember getting a receipt and so I checked my purse to see if there was one there. No receipt. So I politely mentioned it to the cashier and her response was shameful. She gave me so much attitude for even asking and literally yelled at me saying that she did give it to me. I was appalled being that I'm a regular customer. She treated me as if I was some kind of scammer instead of someone who honestly didn't recall getting a receipt. I was so taken back that after I left I called the restaurant to get an explanation and was hung up on TWICE by the same girl. 20 minutes later the manager calls me back and LITERALLY accused me of scamming them. Wow. He was beyond rude, went on to insult me and told me he had me on video declining a receipt and that all I was trying to do was scam them. I couldn't believe it. I buy dinner there almost everyday and now youre really going to accuse me of attempting to scam you for a $5 dollar Samosa? The hostility was out of this world and I feel like it's partly because I'm a black woman. I feel if I would have been another race I would have been treated with the customer service I deserved after faithfully supporting their business for so long. I am done with Little India. It's time for us to start supporting people who actually care about the customers who keep their business alive.
Lees Canton Restaurant

We hadnt been here in over 30 years. We had a few spare moments today and decided to stop in. We were greeted at the door by a smiling diminutive lady, who told us to sit or ever we would like. She presented menus and gave us plenty of time to decide.Hubby chose Mongolian beef and chow mein, and wife chose kung pao chicken VERY SPICY.Soup was a mild egg drop. It could have used a shaking of white pepper, but there was none on the table, but it was not a problem. The main course was beautifully presented on Lees Canton branded plastic oval platters. The chow mein was slightly bland, yet satisfying. Texture was just a little soft to our liking, but still ok.(I pilfered some chili oil off of another table and added it to the chow mein. That helped.)The first bite of my kung pau chicken yielded a small bit of gristle, and another bite had a small piece of bone, but otherwise except for the dish being too mild for me, it was okay. (See above reference to chili oil). The chunks of carrot in the kung pao chicken were soft, as if theyd been parboiled, it was not an issue for me.Hubbys Mongolian Beef was tasty, having just the right amount of heat for him (Hes a wimp ?), and it was not overloaded with onions, which made him a very happy man.Overall the meal was pretty good, and we will very likely return.

Not worthwhile. Just call in an order to literally any Asian restaurant in town instead. Theyre all better.
Teriyaki House

If they had any competition theyd be in real trouble. Pretty run of the mill. Not terrible, but not great either. Any pan-Asian restaurant not offering chopsticks for use typically would receive an automatic disqualification in my book, but as before stated, theyve got the monopoly in the area.
SOPA Thai Cuisine
720 Plumas St, Yuba City, CA 95991, United States
I am from the bay area visiting family here in YC. I put in a big takeout order and had a good experience overall. Everyone was impressed with the quality of YCs thai food and we will definitely order from here again for family dinners.Pros:1) The young staff is excellent and friendly, all the kids have great customer service skills.2) The food! The pumpkin curry exceeded my expectations and yellow curry, pad thai and pad see ew (veggie) were all also good. While the spicy eggplant had no trace of spice, it was a good mild mixed veggie dish.Cons:1) Management needs to put a proper menu onto Google Maps. I almost didnt order at all because of this, but my local family convinced me to call in. So I called and was directed to Facebook of all places to find a menu. I had to use someone elses account and found the restaurants latest post was from 2018 and the listed website sopathai.net is a complete scam site with no actual menu and huge security vulnerabilities. This is completely unacceptable from what was actually a good and proper restaurant and is the reason I took off 1 star. Owner please update your menus online and get a proper website!! I have added pics of their takeout menu here for others like me who might skip the restaurant altogether due to this lack of basic information online.2) Please have staff read big phone orders back to the caller. We missed 2 pumkin curries, but it was no big deal as it was fixed quickly by staff.
Sushi Ichiban
1560 Butte House Rd, Yuba City, CA 95993, United States
An older Asian lady who Im assuming to be the owner of the restaurant was EXTREMELY rude when I went to go pick up my order. Thankfully, one of the workers there intervened and helped me with getting my food and out the door. Other than that, the food was great and very delicious. The dressing for the salad was watery but still good. Kinda pricey but well worth it. I just hope that lady chills and learns how to speak to her customers.

Ive been eating here regularly for 17 years (since the day it opened). There are so many excellent, and highly varied, choices on the menu that it never gets old-- plus the owners are wonderful, caring people. I love all of the Asian dishes-- and Ive had all of them. The Sushi is excellent (Bruce used to be a bay area sushi chef-- the sushi is 100% fresh made and perfect every time); the bulgoki and Kim Chee are wonderful (the Kim Chee is homemade and the best you will ever have), the spicy pork is comfort food. The American side of the menu is great too-- terrific cheesesteak, BLTA, fries, etc. Even the Ice Tea is a cut above, and really enjoyable. For breakfast, they have all the diner favorites, as well as a few unique dishes. Great coffee. Prices are very reasonable, particularly given the quality. This little unassuming diner/café is really the best restaurant in town.
Mongolian BBQ
440 Colusa Ave, Yuba City, CA 95991, United States
By Far the Best Mongolian BBQ Ive ever had. Sauce is unique but stick to Kung Pao and the House Special sauce you wont be disappointed. Prices are great. Think I paid around $7 for all you can eat. When you go into the establishment the decor seems a bit outdated and typical for an Asian restaurant but dont let that fool you. Service and food is amazing here. My advice, load up on the sauce, A lot gets lost on the grill. It will really matter depending on how much flavor your looking for.
