Changan Kitchen

At first, I drove around the plaza and didnt see it, then I found out that its located inside 99 Ranch Supermarket, and there are dine-in tables. Many people came to eat after shopping for their groceries and with their shopping carts, this is so convenient! Looking at the menu, I was a bit worried because of the spicy sign listed in front of the dishes, because honestly, I cant eat too spicy food. Fortunately, it can be adjusted to be slightly spicy, which is really good! I ordered a few signature dishes, Pao Mo Soup with Lamb, Traditional Liang Pi “Cold Noodles”, Chinese Burger with Stewed Pork, and then the Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Noodles with Special Cumin Beef recommended by the staff. This is also the first time I tried Pao Mo Soup with Lamb, and the small noodles inside are really delicious! Love the soup, and the lamb is very tender. It is a dish that you will want to eat again! Although I have eaten different Liang Pi in many other restaurants, this one is my favorite, because it is very chewy! The meat inside Chinese Burger is very tasty, and a perfect mix of the fat and lean pork. I am also a noodle lover, so I personally think this restaurant did a really great job on all the noodle dishes! Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Noodles with Cumin Beef is amazing! Hopefully I can try other dishes next time!At first, I walked around the square but didnt see it. Then I discovered that inside the Dahua Supermarket, there are dine-in tables and the space is quite large. Many people dropped by to eat after shopping and pushing their carts, which was quite convenient! I was a little scared when I saw the pile of chili labels on the menu, because to be honest, I’m not very into spicy food, but fortunately, it can be adjusted to mildly spicy, which is really great! I ordered a few signature dishes, including mutton steamed buns, traditional cold skin buns, classic pork buns with vegetable sauce, and then the cumin beef stir-fried pulled strips recommended by the waiter. This is also my first time to eat mutton steamed buns. The small noodles inside are really delicious! Moreover, the soup is very fragrant and the mutton is very tender. It is a dish that you will want to eat again! Although I have eaten different flavors of cold skin in many other restaurants, this store really suits my taste best because its cold skin is very chewy! The meat of the Roujiamo is very tasty and the meat is well-balanced. . I am also a noodle lover. The cumin beef stir-fried pulled tiaozi is not only a dish that is very popular in pots, but also the texture of the handmade noodles is very delicious. I will want to order other meals next time!
Trieu Chau Restaurant

Rice noodles are pretty good, but the stir fried pin rice noodles were a bit bland; they just opened pretty recently though, so Im willing to give them a bit more time to make adjustments before I rate them more seriously on taste. Service staff is mostly very helpful and good, but our specific waitress was a bit less so. We ordered steamed bean sprouts with our rice noodles but still hadnt gotten them by the time we were halfway through eating. We reminded our waitress about them, and she came back with fresh (raw) bean sprouts. The only reason I didnt dock more stars for her is because the rest of the wait staff were very good and kind of made up for her.
MIAN
11632 South St Suite 104, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
Hands down, Mians up!Mala, loosely translated, means hot & mouth-numbing taste. The heat comes from Sichuan chili, the numbing from Sichuan peppercorns. Swimming in a broth of oil & spices, its the quintessential taste of Sichuan cuisine. So, with great excitement, I came to Mian to have my first encounter with mala.Spicy black fungus-Cold, pickled fungus, I found this appetizer refreshing & bright. I even drank the pickling juice, too. And, it helped alleviate the heat between bites, from what would come next.Chengdu Zajiang noodles (medium)-Pondering upon either the spicy intestine soup or the Sichuan hot & sour soup, the attendant recommended Mians signature dish - the Chengdu Zajiang noodles. Glad I took her recommendation! After a quick zush to thoroughly coat everything with the fiery broth, I immediately discovered a new favorite noodle dish. The texture of the noodles had just the right amount of al dente thickness. My mouth numbed, my nose runny, sweat beading off my head - heaven! The only thing that wouldve made this perfect, was if the fried egg was over easy, and not well done. Imagining runny egg yolk oozing into the broth & noodles, I get giddy just thinking about it.Service was good. One person was providing customer service. I saw 3 tables with sofa-type seating, but was directed to one of the tables, instead. Parking is at the Fresh Catch shopping center, which can be difficult during peak hours. Mian is located on the right of Pepper Lunch.Get your Sichuan on at Mian! I was thoroughly impressed with their Chengdu Zajiang noodles. Medium heat is about all I can tolerate. I can see why Mian has been praised by the likes of Jonathan Gold. Im definitely stepping up to plate, and having another swing at mala when I return for more.

Curry Lounge - Indian Restaurant in Artesia

Im in a hurry for some great curry20% Ramadan discountCurry Lounge occupies the former location of The Punjab Restaurant. 20% off is nothing to sneeze at, so giving a new restaurant a try seemed to be a good idea.Wanting something substantive, I opted for the Meat Fanatics Thali, which came with choice of meat (chicken, goat, lamb).Meat Fanatics thali (lamb)-The thali came with lamb curry, chole masala, pickles onions, garlic naan & basmati rice. The lamb was tender, sopped up in the spicy curry. The chole (chickpea) masala was prepared well, with the rest of the accoutrement balancing out a hearty amount of food. However, being labelled Meat Fanatics, Id expect to, at least, have 2 portions of meat. Also, thalis usually have a varied selection of items, and the Meat Fanatics had not so much. Nevertheless, what was there in the Meat Fanatics thali, was done well & flavorful. On a second visit, I was looking forward to a snack & decided on the Gobi paratha.Gobi paratha-I found the gobi paratha hearty & filling. Dipped in the sauce, with a little onion & pickles, I found it to be a great snack which I highly enjoyed.Service was excellent. The staff was friendly & hospitable, making me feel welcome to their establishment. The dining area is on the smaller side, with 1 large table for group dining. Parking is via metered street parking and adjacent parking structures. An upgrade to the former occupant, The Punjab Restaurant, Curry Lounge is a great Punjabi restaurant in Little India. I was impressed with their lamb curry & gobi paratha. Im eagerly looking forward to coming back & exploring the rest of their menu.Highly recommend!

This great Chinese Cantonese restaurant (Hong Kong) in Cerritos, California is the place to go for great Chinese food. The seafood ? is great, the Chinese fried rice, the noodles are all so delicious. We tried the lobster with garlic and ginger sauce and the Chinese fried rice ? with vegetables. Both are top. This place was worth the trip from Irvine
The Toss Up
1550 Artesia Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
This place is amazing!! Excellent customer service from the time I opened the doors until the time I left. Now, if youre ready to indulge in unlimited goodness this is the place for you lol. The menu is huge and can be overwhelming BUT they have no problem breaking down the menu for you. The plus is, nothing here is fried so you dont have to feel guilty if you choose to indulge. The menu led me to get the Shrimp Alfredo and it was everything!! Shrimp: seasoned to perfection, no baby shrimp here.. nice size shrimp. The noodles were not overcooked, the alfredo sauce was creamy and delicious *chefs kiss* if youre in a pasta mood, definitely swing this way with your decision. Keep in mind, if youre in a salad mood, you can turn any salad into a wrap which is heavenly (in my opinion). The choices are endless here, I was super excited to have found this place. The ambiance is perfect, great for groups, to study or family dinner night. Its very warm and welcoming and you can tell that they appreciate their customers and your business. Also, I recommend not getting a fountain drink and try their fruit juice instead THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! any flavor.. all are delicious. If you like acai bowls, they have the BEST acai Ive ever had!! A definite must try. You will not be disappointed with The Toss Up trust me!! Head over there and see what the delicious hype is all about.
NAM Kitchen
1530 Artesia Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
As a first timer, my first impression upon entering the restaurant were:Wow the decor is very well done and the AC feels great in here.Immediately followed by:Why are there so many dirty tables? We came in on a Sunday, late afternoon. It took about 10-15 minutes for someone to grab our order. The Toast QR code/website for them doesnt work properly (yet?). Dont expect the super speedy service you might expect from a smaller mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant.Once we did get our two filet mignon pho bowls, we enjoyed the broth, the healthy portions of noodles, generous accoutrements, and overall flavor.I do believe this place is new so theyre working out staffing and flow. There were tables still requiring bussing as we left the restaurant. An hour or so of dirty dishes sitting on multiple tables. Our server was short and rushed. There were spilled sprouts that he left on the ground next to us for half the meal (about 15 minutes). To a first timer, it makes me question the overall cleanliness of the restaurant (and its kitchen).I hope that this establishment can get its service in order as it matures. Though the food was great, we are left a little less than satisfied with the service. I believe it betrays how well they designed the space and the quality of their food.Im hoping to revisit this place sometime in the future and if the service element improves, I will update my rating for this restaurant.
Ramen Zuru
17801 Pioneer Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
Its pretty good Chinese style Japanese Ramen restaurant. They are using thick noodles (tsukemen noodles) which is good to me. I recommend this place to others.
Rascals Teriyaki Grill
1540 Artesia Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
I have been a Rascals fan for decades and even used to bring friends here, but Im so disappointed by whats happened at this location.First, the quality of their Chinese Chicken Salad has really declined. They seem to be be cutting the amount of chicken and other things in it, while expanding the amount of cheap lettuce to act as a filler. At the same time theyve raised their prices considerably over the last few years. I understand that costs go up, but it barely seems like a chicken salad anymore. The cost isnt worth it.Secondly, the restaurant is poorly maintained, and has been for quite a while now. I think they only wipe down the tables once per day, because for the last 2 years every time we go in they are dirty and sticky no matter which ones we try. Sometimes the seats are too. Also a few of the tables are so wobbly that your drinks spill out if you bump it. Additionally, they repair the upholstery on the seats with duct tape, and have been for a long time. The tape gets worn and sticks to your clothes and leaves residue.
