Ordered through grubhub and went to pick it up. Quick service and generous portions. Saw that it was a Chinese Asian fusion local restaurant that we’ve been meaning to try. All items had clean flavors. Nicely pricedPad see ew - tasted like a noodle dish, tasted more Chinese than Thai.Popcorn chicken - tastes homemade. Different from what you’d get at tea/boba spots.House noodle soup - clean broth flavor. Had shrimp, pork, beef and fish balls inside

Major Dumplings
1241 Grand Ave a #A, Diamond Bar, CA 91765, United States
I usually drive pass this going to work and wanted to try it. I got their Xiao long bao ($10.99) for my family to try. Very juicy and plenty of meat. I also got their Beef rolls ($10.99) to try, it had plenty of chopped green onions and cilantro, a bit oily for my family but I liked it.Their menu is extensive of various flavors of dumplings, small appetizers, small salads of spicy potato salad, cucumber salad, sweet sour radish, garlic seaweed, fungus salad, and sweet pickled cabbage. They also make mixed noodles, wontons and bento box. They also have a dumpling combo where you can have two flavors of dumplings with a side of lemon tea and two eggrolls. They have pork and napa cabbage, 3 flavors, pork and celery, pork and fennel, fish and chives, lamb, beef, and chicken flavors to try.Its located in the corner of a plaza with a few tables inside, majority of the people got their orders to go. The staff was nice and the place is clean, they have a stamp card.

Mandarin Taste

This location is extremely disappointing. I say that in the most sincerest way. Because when you go to this area number one, this is an area that is predominantly owned by Asians and there are many similar restaurants to choose from. Now the location looks 100% authentic. When you go in, its actually nice. Its got a dark ambience to it, but lets get to the food. Im going to say this first if youre Asian and you know, specific items that are on the menu to order. Im sure theyre going to prepare those items fresh. And Im sure that Asians are not gonna be served subpar food. I witnessed this first-hand with an Asian family that ordered something different on the menu. And it came out looking like it was absolutely fresh steaming and hot.We ordered the family dinner. The higher cost option, which was $29.99 per person. And the food was absolutely horrible. You can clearly tell it was not fresh. It had possibly been recooked no less than 2 times. We ordered Sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour pork, sheshwan beef and kung pao chicken. These are super popular standard dishes. That a Chinese restaurant should be preparing at an amazing level. Thats what I would have expected.I am well aware that these entrees are not authentic Chinese food at an authentic Chinese restaurant. I am well aware this is food that was made for the US decades ago. I have been to restaurants like New Garden located in Roland Heights they offer the same type of food, and it is absolutely amazing & fresh! The food was so overcooked because it was not fresh. The chicken, the beef was actually crunchy with in the breading. The breading itself was so hard. From the 2 times or more, its being refried and served..The fried rice was submerged in soy sauce. During the refry process I honestly have never had worse Egg fried rice I dont know how they can mess that up but they did.The sweet-and-sour sauce that they have is literally the consistency of water. Now I dont know if they serve their Asian guest the same sweet-and-sour sauce but if I was Asian I would definitely a 100% not touch that sauce. This restaurant is a sad example for serving very popular Chinese fooddishes. The egg rolls in our appetizers are of the same quality that you would get at a donut shop / chinese Fast food spot.I would not suggest anyone look at this as an option for traditional american chinese food, there are many other places that are serving Quality fresh made to order food at the same exact price. Again, this is a restaurant its not a fast food Chinese food spot, and theyre prices reflect that of what you would expect to have fresh food prepared.

Delicious Food Corner

I never had such horrible and disrespectful service at a restaurant - and also from a chain restaurant I loved and was a loyal patron to in other cities. This is my second time at this restaurant and Im glad to have gotten this second experience to fully write this review. My first experience had slow service but I never expected my second experience to be this low, unfair, and plain rude.Stating the facts, my parents and I came in the afternoon around 1:40 pm, specifically after the lunch rush so we can avoid the large crowds and get fast service. We were ignored for 25-30 minutes and our food wasnt even put to order in the kitchen due to incompetence. Our iced waters didnt even come out.Our order was simple. We ordered congee and a veggie dish. Two simple dishes. My dad and the waiter spoke Cantonese. Our waiter, male with dark hair and light brown highlights, suggested the fried pork dish. We respectfully declined his suggestion. He said he would put this service ticket in. My parents and I think he may have been upset we didnt take his dish suggestion and didnt see our bill as an expensive bill to give good service to. Judging by the look on the waiters face when he left, I dont think he cared much for us. We found out later he didnt even put our order in to make.It wasnt we called a woman waiter to ask if we got our order. We said wed been waiting for a while for a simple congee and veggie dish and asked if she can check on it. She went to the kitchen and came back and said the kitchen never got the order. We were confused and shocked. Although the kitchen closed, she said she would tell the chef to put in an order for us. We pointed the guy out, standing by the kitchen service window. Again, our waiter was male with light brown highlights, heavy build with dark eyebrows. Our woman waiter apologized for our service from this guy.Our woman waiter said she would talk to him and since we didnt get our food, or even waters, we just left, disappointed and hungry. My parents are very patient and understanding people and taught me to do the same. We waited patiently for our food and talked amongst ourselves until we realized the wait we had. I never seen them both so disappointed. It makes me sad to write this since I never ever want to bring negative energy on 1 restaurant for 1 waiters mistake. 1 star reviews are harsh. This is my first 1 star review. I feel the 1 star is fair for the amount of time we wasted, the treatment we received, our hungry stomachs, and my parents disappointed looks on their faces when we left. I never felt so embarrassed for taking my parents here.I wont ever visit this restaurant again based on this experience, nor will my parents, or my family members and friends who I tell this to. I understand I am just one person and Im not telling anyone to not visit, however, be warned of the service by that particular guy. I understand this may all be a misunderstanding at the end of day but the facts are true. We waited for 25-30 minutes, our waiter never put in our order or checked on us, we didnt even get our waters, and we left the restaurant still hungry and disappointed. I hope the owner or manager sees this review and offers better training to their employees. Thats all!

They claim to have the #1 beef noodles, Im here to try it out. Lets see if its good...UPDATE: I tried their accalimed #1 beef noodles and they mention on their menu (in chinese) that there was no MSG added. When ordering, you can have half beef and half tendons as an option and they have different types of noodles when you order the beef noodles, you can try the handmade noodles (which cost $1 more and its what they use to win the #1 place).I can say that their beef noodles is rather tasty, their thick slices of meat is soft and tender. And their soup is not oily. Their noodles are very chewy and taste really good. But I know they added MSG inside. So thats why I gave them a 3 stars. Because even though their beef noodles are good, their other food dishes are just OK, and also, their service is rather slow, so if youre expecting to have a fast lunch or dinner, go somewhere else.

Fusion 2 Any 1 Sushi & Roll
1261 S Diamond Bar Blvd, Diamond Bar, CA 91765, United States
I happened to stumble upon this place by chance - I was supposed to meet a friend from out of town who was delayed. I was super hungry and saw that Fusion 2 Any 1 was in the same shopping plaza as the Its A Grind coffee house that was our rendezvous point. This is one of those moments when you feel as if youve found a gem. As a city boy, Im used to higher prices and smaller portions (and lower quality, in some cases). And AYCE sushi always leaves me wary, especially buffet style. However, my expectations were upended in the most awesome way. The lunchtime price of $24 bucks gets you satisfying made-to-order AYCE sushi. With a drink included. And ice cream. !!!My order consisted of a spicy 4-piece Tokyo Roll, an 8-piece Unagi roll, an 8-piece spicy tuna roll, 2 pieces of tuna sushi, and 2 pieces of Unagi sushi. The Tokyo had a nice kick to it though the fish on top was a little dry. The spicy tuna roll was PACKED with fish; the most Id ever seen. The Unagi roll and sushi were tasty and generously sized. Lesser places have eel that tastes off - like dirty water - and drown the eel in sauce. Here, the eel was tender, mild, and just darn good. The tuna sushi was decent, too. A la carte, these items would total about $40.The service was just fall-over-oneself wonderful. Seriously. It was almost too much! The sushi chefs and servers greet everyone as they come in. And two people ended up taking care of me while I was there sitting at the bar. They were so attentive, polite, and professional. Really, everyone was so nice. This review is from an uncrowded weekend lunch experience. But between the solid sushi, extremely polite and welcoming staff, and fantastic AYCE quality-for-the-price that includes a soda and ice cream, a 5-star rating is a no-brainer. Im rarely ever (never?) In San Dimas, but if you find yourself here or are in neighboring areas looking for a good AYCE sushi place, this place is definitely worth trying.
