Excellent restaurant. Burmese food seems to be sort of reminiscent of some mix of Indian, Thai/SE Asia, and Chinese food. There are some curries, flavorful noodle and rice dishes, but with their own unique flavor profile that sets it apart from the above-mentioned cuisines. The palata with lamb curry was a great appetizer. We also tried Ohn-no-khao-swe soup, beef kebat, tofu with vegetables, crab fried rice and all were very good. Definitely a great place to check out some new flavors or when you want to change up things on take out night.
Hasu Teriyaki and Sushi
25075 Blue Ravine Rd #120, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
This place is a hidden gem! Small mom & pop place right next door to Mimosa House. Delicious food! Sushi rolls, bento boxes, etc...you cant go wrong with anything you order, & its very reasonably priced. (Especially compared to places like Blue Nami, which is where I had the worst sushi ever & absolutely overpaid for, or pretty much any place in Roseville, who are charging $20 bucks a roll now, smh). I can get 2 rolls here for about $23-$27 bucks, after tax, depending on which rolls. Theyre very friendly & welcoming, always clean, & their chefs are consistent! Everything is always made exactly the same as it should be every single time, & theyve never gotten an order wrong. I brought my fiance, mom, & brother here, & come here myself often. Im a sushi connoisseur & have tried many places in Sacramento, especially Folsom where I live, & this place has become dead-even with my fav Sushi spot in folsom (dont get it confused with Hasui sushi across the street, their names are so similar). Highly recommend!PSA: Theyre popular so they get packed sometimes, so wait times can get long, so its better to call in your order & pick it up than get it delivered or sit & wait for it. Sometimes I go to Raleys next door & shop a little while I wait for my order to be ready. I know some ppl hate to wait, but thats just the way it is sometimes for a busy, popular place. Give them a break & tip them well if theyre busy. Its not that busy all the time though.
Huong Lan Sandwiches
811 Wales Dr, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
We dropped by during lunch time on Friday. There were some customers already but we were seated right away. It was like semi-fast food vibe: we first ordered & paid our food at the counter and later, someone delivered the food to our table. The water was self-service as well near the soda fountain. They put a sign that they were short staffed so it would be quite a wait for the food. However, we got our food around 15 mins after we ordered.- Ham, headcheese & pate (B1): bread was toasted so its crunchy on the outside but still soft inside. The fillings were plenty and the pickled radish was delicious!- Grilled chicken over rice (V1): the chicken pieces were big. The meat was flavorful and tender. My hubby was stuffed at the end of the meal.- Pork & shrimp spring roll: the spring rolls were delicious and fresh. The rolls were quite big too. However, the sauce was too watery & lack of peanut (but still taste ok)- Durian shake pearl: refreshing & good! Just the right amount of sweetness. The boba were chewy and sweet.Overall, delicious & affordable food. Well definitely come back to try different ite
Vegan Asian Cuisine
329 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Very good food, the boba and vegan cheesecake and other desserts are great too. The owner is always very friendly and recognizes me every time. I know that the owner struggles, being a small family owned business. His wife operates the other location in rocklin/granite bay. He is there every day they are open. He works hard and it pays off. Great food, from soups, to various spring rolls and eggrolls, to rice, veggie, and protein combo dishes. Their tofu sandwich is my favorite though. When it comes to vegan asian food, I usually prefer sushi, but Pho Vegan has MUCH grester variety in terms of dishes. You need to go all the way to Sacramento and Elk Grove in order to find other asian restaurants with such an extensive vegan menu. Some of the best vegan food in the El Dorado Hills and Folsom area.
HK Lounge Bistro

This will be a long review so here are some keywords first:Small space, expensive, worth the money, make a reservation, no strollersNow…I absolutely loved the food and service here. I went with my brother and his girlfriend. We ordered fried rice, shrimp dumplings, hot and sour soup, a scallion toast (?), a shrimp toast thing, coffee ribs, half a duck, some tea, mango pudding, and custard buns. I didn't try the duck because I wasn't adventurous enough, but they loved it.The scallion toast was not my favorite and my party said other places do it better, but in my opinion everything else was delicious. The textures were all consistent and perfect. The food came out hot and very quickly, which we weren't expecting, considering they were packed. Thankfully, it wasn't too hot that we burned our mouths. I would definitely recommend getting the fried rice because it still tastes the same as leftovers the next day.The service was excellent. They were very attentive, but also mindful to let us enjoy our experience and not overwhelm us. I haven't heard of other Dim Sum restaurants actually serving the food into the plates for the table, so it was fun to have our server do that. If that is a common occurrence, then all the better as they were following the standard, but I just thought it was a nice touch. Everything was quick, prompt, and professional. The space is very small, I described it as feeling like I was in someone's home (which was honestly a plus) but someone else described it as feeling like a fever dream. The color of the walls makes you feel like you want to leave because they're like a salmon pink, but it wasn't too distracting. It was a welcoming space. It's hard to wait inside so when you make your reservation, it might be good to wait just outside the door after checking in, as it can feel cramped.I give the restaurant an extra good review just because I had been feeling badly and sick for a couple days and the food was very soothing. I felt a lot better so I would definitely recommend it as a comfort food place.Overall, I really enjoyed my experience there and if I have the money I will definitely go back. I don't think I had many negative things to say except for that one particular dish.I believe parking is paid on the street but free after 5:00? I forgot to check
mantra - vegan & vegetarian

Do you ever eat out somewhere and the food just makes you incredibly happy to be alive???I moved to Sacramento area almost two years ago and have had several disappointing eating-out experiences so I had little hope of finding an Indian place I liked. My partner heard about the $12 vegan special going on tonight so we decided to check it out, and we got a couple other dishes wed never tried before. First thing I tried from the special was one of the best little salads I ever had. The curry was divine. There was so much flavor packed into everything, I honestly thought I might cry a little in happiness. The staff were all very nice and I left feeling so good and like life got some of its shine back, Im not even joking. I really hope this place does well because I love it!!
Hop Sing Palace
805 Sutter St, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
This is a fun place to come for Chinese Food. We were seated immediately. Offered ice water and hot tea. We usually choose from the multi-person family style offering at Chinese food establishments, tonight was no different. We selected dinner number 2. It included prawns, won ton soup (there was another choice), fried rice, chow mein (2 styles soft noodle or crunchy) and sweet n sour pork. In addition we ordered pot stickers. The food was marvelous. You cant beat the atmosphere. We were out the door for $47.81, that includes tip 20%. Its a great date night place in old Folsom. You can wander through the old store front buildings and enjoy a lovely atmosphere. It brought back memories of the old Coral Reef restaurant, a go to place for proms and homecoming when I was younger because of the great atmosphere, great service, great food and great price. Its a winner.
JJ Korean & BBQ
9729 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95827, United States
We came here for the kbbq kebabs experience. When we walked in we were given a choice to choose between them cooking the sticks for us or we do it ourselves. If you plan to cook the kebabs yourself, we were told 20 sticks minimum, which is 4 orders of kebabs and most orders come with 5 sticks in one order. So keep this in mind..We ordered kimchi pancake, boiled dumplings, galbi, and 5 orders of kebabs, 2 bowls of rice. Which came out to 132..Kimchi pancake was our least favorite. The color was orange and red. The flavor was bland. It came with a dipping sauce but it was still ehh....Boiled dumplings was our favorite. We loved the flavor. The sauce it came with to dip was nothing special, thank goodness my friends are extra like me, made their own chili sauce to dip in. In one order comes with a dozen..We ordered 5 orders. 2 chicken gizzard, one chicken heart, one beef kebab, one pork belly wrapped enoki mushrooms. -most of them didnt really stood out. It was just meh. My friend had better in the bay area at Stix. Each order was not cheap, it was an average of 13 to 15 bucks for 5 skewers with whatever you order..Galbi, aka beef short ribs, this was tender. Barely had to chew and the beef was easy to gulp down. The flavor was good. It was $30 which is kind of pricey but I guess its an average price now days..Bonchons, we had the kimchi, friends says they like yd better. The beansprouts they gave us one time and it was my friends favorite. The pickled daikon and jalapeño was great. The shredded pickled daikon was good to refresh the tastebuds..Overall it was just ok. Skewers were just ok nothing special for the flavor and taste. The experience was fun and different. I dont think it was too memorable, or like a craving for this experience. We were seated in the back. The service was medium, not slow or fast. The items on the menu is definitely on the pricey side. Not sure if its good value for the food we got. I feel like there are too many korean spots competitive now days, which is better. I would give it another try in the future, but not my first choice or often. Hope this helps and tha KS for reading and have a yelptastic day!
Changs Mongolian Grill Folsom Central Shopping ...
631 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Ive been to many Mongolian bbq places years ago so when I found Changs nearby, I was super excited. Straight on the door, they showed you the All-You-Can-Eat price. I was a bit surprised as the price has increased in the past few months (looking from some previous pictures) but no problem as we were craving for dinner. When we entered, one of the staff noticed us. He pointed a booth for us and asked us to go straight to the buffet. They provided disposable gloves to keep the spoons clean. They have thin sliced pork, beef, chicken, and lamb, as well as tofu for protein. They also have shrimp & squid (previously frozen) at the end of the line - after the sauce section. The vegetable looked fresh and there were lots to choose from.I was super disappointed with the sauce. They were all watered down. For the first round, I put a ladleful of each sauce that I wanted but after it was cooked, the food was bland! So, for the second round, I put two ladlefuls of each sauce and still it was bland. For the third round, I basically doused my bowl with sauces and it finally tasted something. Also, the squid pieces that I picked wasnt cooked - was still raw & rubbery. With AYCE, youll get a big bowl of rice, soup, and crispy wonton chips. The soup was bland. The crispy wonton chips were good. Overall, it was too expensive for the price. The meat & veggie quality were good but the sauce was meh. It was a solid 3.5 stars for me.
