Shanghai Noodle House

Been meaning to post a review on this place.I don't have a lot of experience with Chinese food but this one was pleasant. I was running late (an hour late) into picking up my order but the cashier was nice about it. Best thing the cashier did for me was that even though their Credit Card minimum was $25 but my amount was only $14, she still allowed me to pay for my stuff with my card even though I was willing to buy another item on the menu.Got the Dry Pork and Green Onion Noodles and Green Onion Pancakes.Now...given that I was late, this can change the texture and quality of the food. But when I got to eat it at home, the noodles were still springy, a bit soft but holding to their form.I was really surprised at my Green Onion Pancakes! They were still crispy!! They were a thick patties and not thin but I still loved it.The number one thing I noticed was the smell. I know people can be picky about smells and it bothers them...and I'm one of those people. I thought I was going to get a burnt onion and strong oily smell from both foods but surprisingly enough, it wasnt the case. They were strong smells that I actually enjoyed. However, after 30 minutes of eating the smell soon stuck in my house and took a while to get out haha. But it still made me want more of the dishes.Pros:-proportions were not too big nor too small.-pricing is good for the amount and quality.-kind customer service.Cons:-Smell may not be for everyone.-When I picked up my food, noticed that my container (chinese take out box) for my pancakes were open...and my take out was on a table that anyone can get to. Freaked me out a bit. I understand that if they closed my container then the heat from the food will ruin the quality of the pancake but still, I think it would be wiser to keep customer's take outs behind the counter instead of out on one of the tables where someone can mess with your food O_O.

Wonton with chicken broth:Wonton didn't really taste fresh. The soup tasted kinda like water. Not a lot of flavor.Noodles with rib (forgot name):Not a lot of meat. They put a lot of noodles to make up for it. Soup was very oily.Beef stew with noodles:Also not a lot of meat. Soup very oily.On the bottom is all noodles. They put all the garnish and meat on top.Their lemon water wasn't also the best. Tasted like it was sitting out for a while and the water tasted like bad tap water. The place wasn't very clean. There were stains on the wall next to the table. Atmosphere was just meh. Place looks pretty run down.Service was okay. The lady was nice.Overall not bad, just wouldn't come here again. Total was $57.

This place is a steal after 9pm!I appreciate places where you can grab and go because I often find myself in that situation during the work week. So thank you Sweet Garden for making food convenient for me!Its located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The restaurant is bright and clean with plenty of seating for dine in. I was a little overwhelmed with the menu at first since they have a lot going on but choices are awesome! Especially when it comes for food.Ive tried their combo meal and also their sushi. Both of which I thought were very filling, well priced, and delicious. For their combo meal, the fried rice was very interesting (it had chicken and a hint of coconut?) it was tasty and very unique! They also had the option for garlic noodles which made choosing what carb side I want very difficult. I went with their house chicken and it was delicious! Their sushi sets are quite generous and cheap. Its definitely not going to be the most amazing sushi but its good! Theres also a super deal when you come near closing time.Ill definitely make frequent visits here and one day, Ill try the hot dog! ?

Food:Steamed pork dumplings were delicious. A little on the sweet side. I would recommend this dishRed Oil Pork wontons were very good here. You get a lot and the flavors are amazing. In terms of spice, it is moderate.Meat kababs were very overrated. The beef tasted chewy and salty. The roasted intestine tasted a little better. The roast beef tendon also had the same issue. I would pass on the kebab. The spicy beef noodle soup here is definitely good. Better than most places I tried. They dont over do the spice, which numbs your mouth. Plenty of beef meat and one half boiled egg.Pork ear green onion taste like any other Chinese restaurant.Service:Had no server came up to us until we order on our own through the QR code. They forgot a spoon. They were quick to bring the food and check. They were also helpful in terms of putting your food to go.Ambience:Definitely has an Asian street vibe with all the neon light. Plenty of seats. The restaurant is mostly dark. The fish tanks are a bonus to enjoy.Parking:Shared parking with all the other businesses. It can be tough to find parking during peak times.

Its an authentic north western style Chinese noodle house. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Its service is quite good, and not forcing high tips. Foods are really delicious with affordable price.
Hong Kong Chef

Came here to eat after spending the morning at my parents house doing random handyman activities. My mother is an excellent cook and when asked where she wanted to eat she chose this place. Given my mother s high standards for food, to me that often says a lot about how good a restaurant might be. Mind you now, this was not my first time here, so this review is based on my second experience with this restaurant. Theres no grand story here, its basically a version of your Hong Kong style restaurant cafes. So the theme is Chinese food but has room to allow for a degree of eclecticism on the menu. Our orders were simple. We had beef chow fun. A couple orders of dim sum. I should note that this is somewhat of a dim sum place, but at least on this day there were no dim sum carts moving around and you simply ordered what you wanted from the menu. Our dim sum orders were the classic pork and shrimp style dumplings, and an order of chicken feet. As far as Chinese restaurants go, this place does not stand out in any particular way. There were not many patrons at the time that we went, which was a Saturday around 12:30 noon. Even then they felt a bit short-staffed. And it took a while for them to get to us and take our order. The demeanor of the staff was flat and not welcoming but also not rude. The first dish that came out was the chao fun, however it took a while. The dim sum to come out. Pacing in this way was not good. The tables do not have any condiments on them so I had to ask for the chili sauce and soy sauce. The amount of chili sauce given was very little and too little for how much. I feel it should be a staple with Chinese food. Regardless, we made it work, although I could have just asked for more, instead I ate it sparingly to conserve what little we were given. Thats a bit on me, but I often see this givingness and availability of condiments, especially the satay and soy sauce to be telling about their experience. Like how others judge an establishment on how prompt they are with providing water. At any rate the food was good, seemed fresh and quality. I have no complaints for the food itself. As for the other items that Ive mentioned, I dont find them to be particularly bad or much different than an average Chinese restaurant experience. With that said, do I recommend this place? Yeah. Why not. If you are like I am and do not need five star table service, and you have a bit of time and can be casual about your meal, you will have no issues here. Give it a try.

There were a lot of choices, but ended up getting a standard option from the menu - totally forgot what I ordered. However I do remember the how everything tasted. Hope you like spicy too… it was intense but good.I was recommended the herbal tea as well to quench the inferno, which was a great recommendation. This place is a counter inside a food court, so don't expect a fine dining ambiance.Definitely coming back again.

Great new halal chinese restaurant that has that panda express type of vibe. The service was really good and the restaurant has good seating as well. The chairs are cushioned by the way! The staff was really nice, THEY HAVE A SEPARATE ROOM TO PRAY IN, how dope is that مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّٰهِThe food was really good, the noodles were good. The pepper beef was great, my family tried different items they had. They also carry shasta cola so they are not supporting the bad brands, this was very good that they did that, Allah bless them. One recommendation would be to not have music playing in background since nobody will notice if its absent and to have music playing where pictures of Kabah is not good. The servings are really large, i will split what i got between tonights meal and tmrw’s lunch for sure
Always Cool BBQ

I recently checked out this BBQ spot and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was. The spicy noodles in clay pot were really good – the sauce had a nice kick and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The lamb skewers were also really tasty – the meat was tender and flavorful, and the portion size was generous. The fresh oysters were a nice treat – they were super juicy and had a nice briny flavor. And the Chinese chive dish was a nice way to balance out all the rich flavors – it was light and refreshing. Overall, Id definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some solid BBQ dishes.
