M V M Gia Restaurant 2

I have been eating at this restaurant very often when I used to work in Westminster. Always come back when I get a chance. The noodles are firm, the soup is good, no msg I guess. This is a authentic Chinese /Vietnamese noodle place!

Harbor Garden has a high review rating for a good reason. The food is not greasy and it is flavorful. The food was served hot with a nice balance of ingreadients. The portion size is very fair relative to the price. Also, they do give free white rice with the entree when you dine in. On top of that, the hot green tea was served piping hot and it is free when you dine in with the entre. You just have to ask.The food is clean cooking. Meaning to say the food was not floating in oil and the mixture of protein to veggie ratio is very balanced. The flavor also have enough seasoning and spice that the ingredients have been enhanced instead of overwhelm or overpower the other ingredients. The flavor of the green tea is excellent and it really helps cleanse the palate and it helps with letting the food settle for the other entre. The service is superb. The servers were very attentive. And I had the lucky opportunity to talk to the manager. I found out that the chef is an authentic chef from China. Therefore, the flavors are uniquely authentic Chinese flavors as supposed to other Chinese restaurants. And they make the noodles fresh by hand in the kitchen daily. No extra preservative from factory bought noodles. That adds to the clean flavor and eats I mentioned earlier. The ambiant lighting is not dark or too bright. The smell is fabulous and not fishy. The accoustic in the restaurant has enough background noise but not so loud that you cant hear the conversation in front of you.The restroom is clean and it doesnt have a bad smell. The dining room is clean and there is enough space to walk between the tables and chairs. The dining room have a ton of space for huge parties.I suppose this is a great place to take huge families. Next door is owned by the same family and they sell boba and teas. So if one want to order from the boba shop next door, ask the server. If that isnt a good customer service, I dont know what is.I had a good experience dining here that felt compelled to write them a review. And no, I am not being paid for the review nor am I related to the owners.
Pho Akaushi
14376 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
This place is absolutely fire! As an LA native I have had pho from the valley and China-Town LA but this place is on a whole other dimension. My first time here was with my girlfriend and we ordered their eggrolls which is a great appetizer and their house special which is number 12 on their menu and it is to die for. The beef bone, meatballs, wagyu beef and beef cubes are just unbelievably tender and delicious. Today was my second experience but this time with my mother, auntie and my girlfriend. We ordered the egg rolls for our appetizer and four of the house specials. Be warned these bowls have offer quite an enormous amount of food but being a big fella myself I handled it very well. There was a gentleman who works at this awesome joint and chatted with us on their choice of quality on their meats and even offered to show us a little demo on him blow torching my aunties beef rib with a perfectly executed char around the beef bone meat and melted fat with this yummy green sauce and OMG what a presentation. The vibe from the staff and hospitality we got from our waitress and this gentleman were phenomenal. This place is worth and hour and a half drive from the city of Los Angeles. Super desperate to return to this place!

Ive never had skewers cooking in front of me at a restaurant before. Super fun.We ordered the mild spicy beef, gizzard, and beef tongue, and quail for skewers and the cold noodles and cucumber with black mushroom dish.Everything was so good. The food was so tasty. Every skewer was *chefs kiss*.I really enjoyed the dipping options that were provided for the meats. They also give you a small steamed egg (yum). The cold noodles and the cucumber salad was refreshing.Service was incredibly attentive. Refilled our side dishes, checked on the skewers and our table regularly. I really want to emphasize on how great the service was because the restaurant was full and they still managed to provide excellent service. They even gave me a flower for mothers day ?Cant wait to come back to try more food options!
Loving Hut - Garden Grove
12050 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
Beautiful new Loving Hut!The wall of windows in the front bring in a lot of natural light, which is always nice unless youre a vampire. The green, white, and wood decor with large pots of Thai orchids and potted plants bring a clean, cheery, bright look to the cozy restaurant.I originally came in to scope out the place for a veggie Meetup, but ended up caving in to the cravings as I saw so much delicious food on the tables and cooked up in the kitchen. I ordered the Pajeon starter, a savory Korean pancake ($5.50) and sweet potato fries ($4.25, and I never pass em up) with a rose lemonade ($3.50) to-go because I had already eat a few bites at Vegan Pizza and it was HOT outside on this Saturday afternoon. I waited about 15-20 minutes, not bad for a new place that was 15/16 full for the lunch rush. The food was packed in brown paper, eco-friendly containers and the cup was made of biodegradable plastic. All withstood a 20-minute drive through the streets of the local hoods and was still tasty upon home arrival. The sweet potato fries were understandably soft by this time, but still darn tasty--even when I put them in the fridge as leftovers and got them out to have few more cold. The Pajeon was covered in a surprising white, creamy vegan sauce and complemented the chock-full-of-veggies pancake perfectly. I was so full from eating a corn dog and breadsticks from Vegan Pizza just a few doors down (I know, carb-overload today), but I just wanted to eat every bite of that pancake despite my food-induced coma coming on. However, in the name of charity, I justified saving some of the fries and the pancake bites for my brother. The rose lemonade was refreshing and super sweet...a bit too much for me, but thats because I dont usually eat anything with sugar at home, so I just watered it down to get more mileage out of the cup! Better more than less, this time! The staff are still finding their way as the restaurant has only been opened a week, but they are very kind and attentive, i.e. refilling your water while looking after a steady flow of eat-in and take-out customers through the door if youre patient. The manager said that its been busy ever since they opened and they are trying to keep up with soaring demand. I hope that you will try it for yourself, go early or go late if you dont want to wait too long, and enjoy a meal at the new Loving Hut as much as I did! Repeat visits recommended!
Saigon Vegan - Garden Grove
10522 McFadden Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
I will start with the good- I ordered through postmates and it came quickly and was still hot when it arrived. I got the portobello tenders and pad thai with extra veggies. The portobello tenders were bomb and probably one of the best things Ive eaten in a while- the order came with quite a few and could have used some more dipping sauce. The pad Thai was decent- a solid 7 out of 10 but I am a Thai food conessuar so my standards are pretty high. There were a few sprinkles of broccoli and cauliflour added in however the items I ordered together should have been about 18 dollars all in all not including delivery charges. I got a notification saying the restaurant had increased the cost of my order to 34.00?!?! This is not including the fees. I know I asked for extra veggies but I dont think I got 16.00s worth nor should it ever cost that much for some sprinkles of broccoli and cauliflour. I feel a bit ripped off- I am on a budget and only order in very occasionally so this was a big disappointment. I wont order this restaurant for delivery again because of that.
Pho REDBO

Wagyu pho? I must be dreaming! Ive been wanting to try this spot ever since I heard that they specialize in wagyu pho. The meats are halal and super fresh. Staff was friendly and attentive to our groups needs. Seeing how popular this place was, I thought it would take a while for the food to come out, but I was pleasantly surprised how quick we all received our food. Piping hot and fresh. Definitely stop and splurge on that wagyu pho or the flaming wagyu carpaccio. That meat just melts in your mouth!|| L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G ||-Cross Streets are Garden Grove Blvd and Hoover St.-Plenty of parking spots for dinner during a weekday|| F O O D / D R I N K S ||Crispy Egg Rolls ($7.00) - Such a tasty fried appetizer. I liked how these didnt taste super oily.Truffle Fries ($7.00) - These fries were super crispy and had a strong truffle flavor. Loved these and would order it again. I didnt even need to dip it in ketchup or any other sauce.Flaming Wagyu Carpaccio ($17.00) - Kept seeing this on my feed and decided to splurge and go for it. The wagyu melted in my mouth which made the splurge so worth it. Just let your server know well you want the meat cooked. I opted for medium well and medium rare and both were delicious.Wagyu Fried Rice ($16.00) - This was so addicting and I couldnt stop eating it. Theres a good amount of wagyu in the fried rice and I felt like I had a piece of meat in every scoop of fried rice. Love that it comes with a side of broth which pairs so well with the fried rice.Shaken Beef With Rice ($19.00) - Although I did find the beef slightly chewy, the flavors made up for it and paired well with the rice. If youre looking for something saucy to go with rice, this is your item to order.Combination Pho (R: $18.00/L: $22.00) - When trying a new pho spot, I always opt for combination so I get to taste different types of meats to identify which ones I like for my next visit. Since all meat offerings were wagyu with the exception of the meatballs, I knew I was going to be in for a good treat. Every protein was delicious but my two absolute favorites were the slice rare wagyu steak (oh so tender) and the tender rib cubes (not chewy at all!). Broth was super flavorful and so clear. I couldnt stop slurping away at the broth.Watermelon Juice - super refreshing for the hot summer day, recommend to quench your thirst after you devour a bowl of pho!
Crystal Dumplings
9240 Garden Grove Blvd #12, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
I went to our usual Dim Sum place for a big Sunday lunch, got everything we needed but they were out of Shumai. A quick Google search and I found Crystal Dumplings. This is a clean and well decorated shop, not sure, but it feels like a mom and pop place. We ordered three or four orders of Shumai and grabbed a couple of other things we didn't know we needed. We got a scallop and shrimp dumplings as well as two salted egg buns. Everything was so delicious! The Shumai were very large and meaty. They had a good chew to them, you knew you were eating meat, not just ground up pasty stuff. They scallop and shrimp dumplings were also really good. We were surprised by the red color of the wrappers, it made for a really cool affect. I ended the meal with the salted egg buns which were very good. I love custard but I am usually disappointed with most dim sum custard buns, these were really good. Next time I'm going to Crystal dumplings and get all of my dim sum from them. The lady that helped us was very nice and helpful. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we can't wait to return.Edit: Came back and ate in. They are so nice and the place is very clean. We got the Pork Shrimp Shumai, Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp Scallop Dumplings, Shrimp and Chive Dumplings, Shrimp Rice Noddle rolls, Spicy Wonton in Chili Sauce, Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Spare Ribs with Black Bean, House Fried Rice, BBQ Pork Buns, Custard Buns, Salted Egg Buns, Fried Shrimp Beancurd rolls, Fried BBQ Beef Wontons and Fried Seafood Spring Rolls. Pretty much the whole menu minus the chicken feet and the Tripe (I would have ordered them but I left my wife in charge). We loved everything so much that we ordered more of our favorites. Instead of telling you our favorites I will tell you what we will not order next time, not because we didnt like it, but because we loved the others so much. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Spare Ribs with Black Bean and House Fried Rice we could have left off. The Pork Shrimp Shumai is one of our favorites, this is probably the biggest Shumai out there, very dense and comforting. My wife usually doesnt like Shumai as she says it is too gamey but this one she loves, probably the shrimp adds a sweetness to the pork. I was amazed by the Fried Shrimp Beancurd rolls, the wrappers were so thin I was surprised they survived the fryer, this light coating from the fryer highlighted the filling, not the cooking method. My friend also commented on how light the breading on the Fried Seafood Spring Rolls was, it was more of a breaded and fried roll but it was so light and delicate that it didnt overshadow the seafood. Everyone, especially the kids, loved the Fried BBQ Beef Wontons, and we ended up ordering more. The star was the Salted Egg Buns which we ordered more of, then ordered more to go then our friend ordered more to go, they are that good. We ended up leaving with Shumai, Wontons and Salted Egg Buns to go and had them for dinner with some edamame.
