Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant
4819 Paramount Blvd, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
The first impression one gets when walking into the place is that its very non fancy and seems hardly any different than any other family owned chinese restaurant. However, plain walls and generic decor aside, this chinese restaurant is by far the best one around. Excellent food and very friendly customer service is what I receive each time I go there. If you are in the area then you should definately give them a try.
Panda Express
500 Lakewood Center Mall, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
Hello, I just went to Panda Express at the LAKEWOOD mall and the chicken was spoiled, the shrimp was raw, the dough, I called them and talked to the manager and their response was, I need the resivo, I told him to throw it in the stores bin, but what if I didnt? I could ask for a check from my bank so he could see that I bought food at 10.40 and also check the cameras and his response was 100% without the receipt I cant help you and I told him Id make a conpley and he told me what you had. I cant believe I had to pay for a meal that wasnt served because the managers themselves dont care What the customers eat very bad service
Yin Keng Restaurant
8840 Lakewood Dr, Windsor, CA 95492, United States
I went with a friend shortly after Yinkeng reopened, and was deeply disappointed. The former Yinkeng was my gold standard for Chinese food; it not only had delicious food (my favorites were the broccoli beef, fried rice and crab dumplings), but it had a wonderful staff who provided professional and friendly service. They remembered you, were always happy to see you, and regularly checked in to make sure you had everything you needed, without it being too frequent to be annoying. Also the interior designing of the restaurant had given the atmosphere a warm and homey feeling while also presenting the beautiful cultural aspects of a Chinese restaurant. However this New Yinkeng not only had a sterile neutrality to its unappealing atmosphere, the food is disgusting. Panda Express has better and cheaper food in comparison, and friendlier staff. Not only that, but the service was terrible. There was none of the original staff or owners. I had to ask for more water and I never got it. The new servers didnt seem to know what they were doing and were unfriendly. Im never wasting my money there again, and Im deeply disappointed with the change.
Kaowok Chinese Kitchen
12022 Lakewood Blvd, Downey, CA 90242, United States
I just want to start off by saying staffs attitude is phenomenal. You enter the restaurant, and automatically you feel like your depression, rage, and hunger is thrown out the window. The best part about this restaurant are their prices, and the amount of food they serve you (by the way sometimes I can eat off the same plate for a whole week and still not finish it ?). I just want to say thank you to Danny for the great management ??. Thank you to Cheo, or I believe his name is Jeo. This guy is probably the most positive and funniest guy. He never displays negativity, and always makes sure to give the best customer service. Last time he was so nice, I had to leave him a $100 tip. All other workers are great as well. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE ( not really a big deal but somewhat yeah) Last time I was using the restroom ( number 2 ) and some dude opened the RESTROOM DOOR. By the way I locked the door, but FOR SOME REASON THE DOOR LOCK DOES NOT WORK!!! I felt so intimidated. Overall recommend this place. Would have gave a 5 star review, but I still kind of feel stressed and weird about the incident that happened there.

On 05/19/21 at 4:11:36 (receipt time), my family & I went to the Lakewood, CA location (#3284). Not having been to a Panda Express for some time, I was surprised to find that the items behind the glass were not labeled with names big enough for identification by the customer, & I was also taken aback when I noticed that the serving containers were now so much smaller than when I last visited. When it was my turn to order, I ordered a 2 entree meal. I requested that my appetizer be 1/2 chow mein & 1/2 fried rice & my receipt shows that the person who took my order, did it correctly. However, it wasnt until I got home that I noticed my order consisted only of chow mein & my entrees. It is my belief that, because of all the various noises & the loud talking between all the cooks & front line workers, that my order was filled incorrectly. Not only do I believe this, but I also found the noises to be annoying & unwelcoming, if not unappetizing, while I was in the restaurant. Finally, at home eating what I was given, I discovered that the Mushroom Chicken entree that was part of my order grossly lacked in actual chicken pieces & the pieces that were in it were tiny.Although it has been some time since my last visit to Panda Express, until this visit I had always considered it a regular in my rotation of store front restaurants & had found the food to be consistently well made, with the right combination of ingredients & tasty. I used to think that the value/satisfaction ration ratio was positive. Now, I am inclined to lean in the opposite direction.UPDATE:Received a timely response to the email complaint I sent to Panda Express. Ended up happy because, by the wording of the response, I could tell they actually read my complaint & took it into consideration. I feel they heard me & are willing to correct the issues I raised & that is what I wanted.Happily, Panda Express is back into my regular rotation of store front restaurants.

I just moved to town recently and I was craving some garlic fried chicken. The deli is clean the cashier was super friendly! The food is amazing! I got a number 2 plate ( garlic fried chicken x2, bbq pork fried rice, bbq pork chow mein) the portions was good amount enough to satisfy me and my partner. We both agreed this is our new go to Chinese food spot!

Stopped by the Hanger on a whim for lunch when we drove by LB area, and found this place quite enjoyable. We didnt have the kids with us that day, but the setting was nice, and the options were good. As vegetarians, we had a Chinese restaurant option. For non vegetarians, they had plenty of choices. There were plenty of seats, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. There was a combination of working professionals enjoying lunch, students from local colleges, and families grabbing a bit. If it was closer to us, wed probably visit more often. But for those close by, I highly recommend it.
