Panda Express

Chicken Egg Rolls are my go to but the prices for the plates are high for a small amount of food. I get more from a Chinese restaurant thats not afraid to give away food. Especially when you know they will throw it away @ the end of the night.
Little Beijing Chinese Fast
15228 Hawthorne Blvd, Lawndale, CA 90260, United States
I have been coming to this little Chinese restaurant for over 11 years. They always have very delicious items in their hot bar, yet please look up at the ceiling around the room and you will find other great selections that they can make for you on the spot! My favorite is the three flavor wonton soup with pork shrimp and chicken all in one. The broth is amazing too. I usually get the soup with a bit of noodles in it. Very good. Kids like it too!
Lucky Bamboo Kitchen

Ive been coming here for a few years and the food is always great and the service is always wonderful. Theyre so helpful and welcoming. Its just a straight up, old school, Chinese restaurant serving up the classics. Portion sizes are pretty big and always tasty. I have not had a bad experience here yet. Nothing bad to say about this place at all.
Umami Express
16711 Hawthorne Blvd, Lawndale, CA 90260, United States
I thought this was an actual restaurant but it's part of a ghost kitchen or something. I got the chicken bowl and idk if it's just the chicken I got but it tasted old, not fresh. The veggies were also tasting some what frozen. This reminded me of something I could get from yoshinoya or something. Not what I was expecting, kind of dissatisfied and disappointed.

Oh My Pho Restaurant

Hey the food is really good. The food taste & flavor here are similar to Southern Vietnam cuisine (which is a little bit sweeter than the Northern Vietnam cuisine). I highly recommend Hủ tíu (noodles with broth cooked from pork bones & dried vegetable (white radish, cilantro roots, … & served with pork, shrimps & quail eggs). The second dish is Cơm tấm, broken rice served with charcoal grilled pork, fried egg & Chinese sausage (if you like). The 3rd one is Bún chả (fresh noodles served with charcoal grilled pork, pickles, fresh herbs & fish sauce). The minus here is coffee. Although milk coffee is good but it’s quite expensive to me with that small cup.The restaurant environment is for family, friends but not dating.

Five Stars All Around! Heres why...Ive tried five other Thai spots within the local area, yes five dont judge my crazy cravings, all varying in prices and this place still holds as my favorite. I always order the same Pad Thai ($9.99 or $8.99 during lunch hours 11am-2.30pm Mon-Fri) and Thai Iced Tea ($2.75 Small, $3.75 Large), whether due to lack of creativity on my part or just because its consistently delicious. Their Pad Thai is beautifully balanced with sweet and savory flavor, not too much sauce and the chicken (choice of protien: beef, chicken or shrimp which vary in price) is always cooked perfectly and never dry. The Thai Iced Tea is well balanced with the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. Even the pricier spots elsewhere dont match the tastiness of this restaurant. Ive had anywhere from too greasy too lackluster dry at other restaurants, but not here! Ive truly lucked out finding a Thai restaurant that delivers in flavor in both the Pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea!Another contribution to this awesome, local spot is the consistently friendly service. From the moment you call your order in to the moment you leave the restaurant, all of the staff are very accommodating. The restaurant is super clean and has convenient, shared parking with CVS so as to avoid the frustration of finding parking while youre hangry. My only wish is that they offered delivery via Yelp for those crazy, hectic nights that I cant organize my life to get to the restaurant. Im sure the other delivery sites offer that though.Great tasting food, delicious drinks and amazing service...youve got my business for sure!
Corner Joint

If youre looking for a great place to take the family out for dinner, Corner Joint is definitely worth checking out. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable. My kids absolutely loved the pizza, and I was impressed with the quality of the pasta dishes. The atmosphere is very relaxed and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend Corner Joint if youre looking for a casual dining experience that wont break the bank.If youre looking for a spot to enjoy a few drinks after work, Corner Joint is also a great option. They have an extensive beer and wine menu, and the bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable, and its a great place to relax after a long day. I would definitely recommend Corner Joint for an after work drink or two. Finally, if youre looking for somewhere to host a party or special event, Corner Joint is a great choice. They have ample space both inside and outside, and they can accommodate large groups. The staff is incredibly accommodating and will go out of their way to make sure your event goes smoothly. I would highly recommend Corner Joint if youre looking for a venue for your next party or gathering.
Southern Spice Indian Restaurant - Lawndale

I wouldve given three stars for Dosa and Idly, but I decided to go with two because of the few responses I read from the owners. What good is the taste of the food, if the person who served is..... I do not want to complete that sentence.Im a bit wary to review here, as I noticed few responses from the owner highlighting (kind of justifying, kind of) they are rated five stars: this is how they responded after brainstorming the review of one star after hundreds of only five stars.... (Ive got screenshots of these)11/12/2023When my friend I walked in to the restaurant we were greeted by this gentleman along with their ranting something about Southern Spice is THE best in America (or West Coast) and we wouldnt get such tasteful food anywhere. For all the hype and build up we were exposed to, the food did not taste good at all, it had a mere existence on our plates; and did not even try to make a smidgen of impact to our taste buds in any good way remotely. Biryani smelled full of undercooked masala and overcooked rice, sambar was bland with no spicesAlready me and my friend were equally unhappy with the food that didnt meet 1/2 of the build up the staff gave us. While we decided to pay the bill and get out, the staff kept asking us repeatedly to try the Masala tea and he claimed it to be the best.Masala tea was bad, it didnt even smell like tea.Me and my friend were not happy with the way food tasted as it was really bad. We both love cooking, we know a thing or two about food, spices, consistency; and most importantly we are particular in what we want and how we want. So, we will not be recommending this restaurant to any of our friends and who seek our suggestion.Oh btw, we have got the receipts and pictures - just in case this gets labelled fake by the owners.
Lawndale Marketplace
15124 Hawthorne Blvd, Lawndale, CA 90260, United States
I frequented this place but I noticed on several occasions that the Guadalajara-style birote was sold from a previous day, a saleswoman even assured me that this birote was from the day, I went to another person in the bakery and asked if that birote was from the day. and he told me no, that they were selling the one from the previous day because there was a lot left over, this type of birote from one day to the next tastes chewy. I dont understand why the other bakery worker wanted to deceive. This is giving the store a bad reputation.
