Chens Chinese Restaurant
2131 E Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90803, United States
Good Chinese food. Parking on the road there is a dedicated lot nearby. Ambiance is good but there is typical musky smell not overpowering. Food portions are big so order carefully. BBQ steak was super, sesame chicken was too sweet and broccoli too big. Chicken fried rice, kungpoa shrimp were delicious. Steamed dumplings was very dry not great. Overall a good Chinese restaurant in downtown Long Beach

Went there to try it out. WOW, was I surprised. Excellent food, had a really good taste to the food, it looks like your ordinary Chinese takeout/dine in restaurant, but no way. Ill come back evrrytime that Im staying in Long Beach. Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants Ive ever eaten at.

I lived in China for over 4 years. This is such a great addition to Long Beach which has been greatly missing more authentic Chinese food. The staff were all really great here and provided good service. The interior is basic, but clean. For food we tried the popcorn shrimp, popcorn chicken, scallion pancake, short rib noodles, chicken soup dumplings, chicken and shrimp soup dumplings, oxtail noodle soup, and broccoli. For four people we finished it all, and maybe we ate a little too much, but it was so good. This is the only spot for soup dumplings in Long Beach and its such a great addition to the citys food scene. The noodles and dumpling wrappers are all made fresh in the restaurant. The food in order of most to least favorite:The soup dumplings were amazing. The noodle soup was also excellent. The fried short rib noodles were great. The popcorn shrimp and chicken were very good. The scallion pancake was good, but I probably wouldnt order that one again.Overall its great and I would definitely come back.Im happy Long Beach can have this now.

Panda Express

If you are in the mood for some Chinese food, but dont have time to go to a regular Chinese restaurant, you might want to try Panda Express. And once you have bought food there, you can take their survey. The instructions are on the receipt you will get. So the next time you go if you order a 2 entree plate, you can get a 3rd entree free. That plate also comes with either fried rice, chow mein, half & half, or mixed vegetables. When I get that plate with the 3rd free entree, it is enough food for both myself & my man. We usually really enjoy it.

Morning Nights
4150 McGowen St Unit 1, Long Beach, CA 90808, United States
Morning Nights is one of many great small independent restaurants at the Long Beach Exchange. They are doing something very unusual: making great tasting dim sum and Chinese food using plant-based ingredients. On my first visit, I tried the sticky rice lotus leaf wrap, dan dan noodles, and mapo tofu. All were excellent. Im looking forward to my next visit and trying the rest of the menu.

Jade Restaurant
6380-A E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90803, United States
My friend and I went here to catch up and eat what I hoped to be great food.We walked into the restaurant and I noticed that there were barely any diners there, which I thought was good. We stood there for a few minutes, which I was surprised about. 3 employees came by to tell us that someone would come to assist us soon.A few minutes after we were seated, one employee gave us glasses of water without us asking for water, which I appreciated. My friend and I were able to talk a bit until a man started singing and playing guitar. He was very talented. Our waiter was very nice. He noticed my friend and I were deep in conversation throughout our meal and left us alone after checking on us once after we got our food, which was a plus in my book. He kept walking around the tables so we just had to wait until he got back to our table to get boxes and our check.Onto the food, I ordered orange chicken and white rice. My friend got shrimp fried rice. Luckily my friend enjoyed her food. That mustve been the most flavorless orange chicken Ive eaten. I found it funny that the plate for the chicken was huge and the bowl of rice was so small. I was a bit tempted to not ask for a box for my food but I wanted to see if my roommate would eat it. Otherwise, I plan to throw away my leftovers.I feel extremely disappointed because I wanted to at least try the breakfast foods they offered during another visit. But after this experience, I dont want to be let down again.
